What will happen if it's a tie?
Re: The Cricket Thread
They'll go by the NRR in our group stages. Or if they go by points, we lose.Chinmayanand wrote:What will happen if it's a tie?

kohli is not part of the youngistan brigade, he is not slam bam enough for them.Mahendra wrote:I will convert to youngistanism if Kohli plays a match winning knock todin

patience...penance...

Yes, we are doing good....go slow. Steady. Then accelerate after 40 overs. Preserving wickets is important. Score singles and doubles. No risky shots. Patience is key.
We will win.

marshal zhukov stares impassively into the darkness...the seelow heights looming in the distance and the cold oder river flowing gracefully through the woods below.

The saga begins. Collapse, here we come....
Re: The Cricket Thread
fck man out on fulltoss!
Re: The Cricket Thread
unnecessary shot. okay we need two 50-run partnership at the minimum to clinch this deal. play on the ground guys for another 10 overs.
Re: The Cricket Thread
If we loose, I will feel bad mostly for Sachin. He has done everything, but his team never did their best.

Re: The Cricket Thread
The idiot threw it away, it seems tough from now on
Re: The Cricket Thread
you need to score at run a ball or more when the part timers are bowling. if you keep it for the end it won't be easy to accelerate against lee and co.
oh and for f' sake take the batting PP at 34ovs if we have 2 set batsmen.

Re: The Cricket Thread
Such a composed batsman. Nerves getting the better of him?DJ Hussey to Kohli, OUT, Kohli has thrown it away totally against the run of play, full toss on the stumps, he threw his bat wildly at it, but only found the man at midwicket, David cannot believe it, he is smiling wildly
Re: The Cricket Thread
Yuvraj opens in style... hope he brings substance too...
Re: The Cricket Thread
105 in 118 balls, We need two good partnerships from here to see us through
Re: The Cricket Thread
since gawd didn't make century, we will win onlee
Ducks for cover.
PS: 100th century is saved for the true Pakis.

Re: The Cricket Thread
Exactly. We are surfing smoothly towards a win. In these tracks, the key is to play conservatively, scoring singles and doubles without losing wickets.Mahendra wrote:The idiot threw it away, it seems tough from now on
Muruga....if we win I will go on a self-imposed vanavas from BRF until the SF. Promise.
If we do not lose a wicket, say by 225, then we will surely win.
Re: The Cricket Thread
dang ! we can't afford to give 2 run overs to part timers like hussey !

Re: The Cricket Thread
Did you believe that ??? Gambhir was absolute Paki
Re: The Cricket Thread
my heart was in my mouth for the two run outs Gambhir survived but the third time he just wanted to get out I guess.
Hara kiri, Indian style.
I don't understand, how can you run over half the pitch when your partner is firmly grounded in his crease?

I blame Kohli for this debacle. End of Story.

WHy are they committing hara-kiri??
Re: The Cricket Thread
Still looks close to me. Kohli must be kickig his musharaff. He could have seen India through. Ponting does the right thing by bringing the pacers on. Both Yuvi and Gambir are more comfortable against spin. Until India reaches 230 odd with sevetral wkts in hand, I say this is anybody's game at this stage. Could be a humdinger.
As I submit this, Gambir run out after 2 lucky breaks. Does India deserve to win after Virat and Gambir throw it away like this? What a shame.

What the F.U.*.KK?

Re: The Cricket Thread
I can't believe this... if Paki player would have done that ... Scotlandyard would be investigating it ...
Re: The Cricket Thread
Less than a hundred needed, I hope they don't panic any more. Singles and two will do it.

Re: The Cricket Thread
Gambhir reminds me of Inzmam. You just have to wait for him to get himself out. Pathetic.
Re: The Cricket Thread
All these paawar plays, part-time bowlers ityadi makes sense when one does not lose wickets. Anyone remember Mudassar Nazar?
Re: The Cricket Thread
How is the dew scene at Motera now ? Wet ball = hard to grip = no reverse swing.
Re: The Cricket Thread
did someone add fevicol to yuvi's shoes or what ?
