They will be of far more value in NDA than in Indi Alliance in terms of what they can get as reward.

Modi is the man who has won 2 straight elections. He has not been defeated even once. Even in this election. It's not a defeat, if he is the leader of the single largest party in the parliament.

He is hated by too many right now and they will not see him as pm. Moreover, all those that mad bought off from SS and others, they are likely to desert him.

This is a damned delicate situation for the country.

BJP had good relations with BJD at one time. BJD might still help out BJP, have to see if they can jointly form govt in Odisha in exchange for support at center

If there is an area I would criticize the Modi government on, it would be not taking the fight to the finish in reforming judiciary and prosecuting the corrupt opposition. They had them on the ropes, and thought, 'Naw, let me finish them off in the next round.'

17 seats in UP are close contest < 5000 margin. So it could be worse or better depending on how they go.

It means bulk of our voter base is still not capable of the kind of economy Bharat is trying to become. That is why when the snakes were on the back foot they should have been crushed . My worry is next election will we reverse the gains of the decade ?

I think that's been his problem for sometime now. Time for BJP to find a compromise candidate.

CM ji for now PM Modi should lead. They should hand it to someone else only in the lead up to next general election.

BJD is hardly winning any lok sabha seats. In fact ,Odisha is the one state which is saving BJP. BJP 18 - BJD 2 leading. BJD can't help much even if it wants to.

@hanumadu gaaru,TDp is going to call the shots to some extent then.

Based on the current trends, CBN is the biggest winner in the entire country.

He has complete control in AP and a whole lot of leverage over BJP.

Even if these trends hold and do not go downhill further, its impossible to prevent horsetrading at this point. The BIF would soon be awash with foreign funds (if not already), does not look like an easy phase for Bharat Mata.

Look our expectations have gone up, in 2014 if BJP won 235 seats we would have been happy. Now the BJP has to put core issues on the Back burner and focus on some freebees to their voters in carefully crafted schemes like how the INC does. INC will empty the Khazana like 2004 and come back.
