Re: The Cricket Thread
The most annoying part of the match was having to watch all those annoying advertisements meant to sell stuff to zerrow IQ beebal with zerrow seconds attention span. The most annoying ad was the size zerrow biatch teaching yoga, I felt like Wajib ul Cuttling the person behind the advertisement.
Re: The Cricket Thread
Dhonis has become a paaaltishiyun.
Re: The Cricket Thread
^^become!? he fears raina in the long run man!
Re: The Cricket Thread
MSD is losing focus from his batting and focussing more on kaptaanship. Its affecting his overall game. Who knows. maybe he is waiting for the pakis to cut loose. btw do we start the dhoti shivering from now itself ? one week left no?
Re: The Cricket Thread
I thought Raina was MSDs man and he was the reason Raina is in the wc squad in the first place. Weird.
Re: The Cricket Thread
not just dhoti, but with msd we have to langoti shiver.
Re: The Cricket Thread
I am not sure what you mean here? Can you elaborate?Vipin_Upadhyay wrote:Raina clearly took a dig at Dhoni referring "them".
I think overall, Raina is a better bet than Pathan, Raina fields brilliantly and is a somehwat more technically better batsman that Pathan. But there are situations where Pathan can destroy the opposition, like nobody else, with his brutal hitting.
Guys, one thing worries me as we go into SF with the terrorists. And that is Dhoni's batting form. He looks out of sorts, and we need him to fire. Today was a great opportunity to show his mettle. Hope his loss of batting form is temporary onlee.

Hope the dark forces are on full alert to thwart any untoward incident when India play the finals at Wankhede. By the grace of Almighty Allah, Gawd and the rest of TI will be safe and sound.
All the devious plans of TSP and its cronies shall be crushed by the dark forces outside/inside the stadium(s) and by Gawd on the ground (s).

ek ied mubbarak, aur char thappads - all the same.
whatever, performance is all that matters. that is the focus... the politicks can take spinning all-undies on the side track.

Re: The Cricket Thread
resisted all temptation to watch the score. now all ye bookies get to work
Re: The Cricket Thread
man i am so excited. honestly Raina is a better choice than pathan anyday. he is more stable and will get you runs more often than pathan would. We just need one blaster in the Indian side. That should be Sehwag. Rest should play adapting to the condition of the match.

England's Yardy quits WCup with depression
March 25, 2011 - 1:04AM
AFP
England all-rounder Michael Yardy has quit the World Cup suffering from depression just days before the quarter-final against co-hosts Sri Lanka.
The 30-year-old Sussex left-hander, who played in three matches at the tournament, said he felt he had no option but to return home.
"Leaving at this stage of a World Cup campaign was a very difficult decision to make but I felt that it was the only sensible option for me and I wanted to be honest about the reason behind that decision," he said.

"I would like to wish the squad all the very best ahead of the game on Saturday.
"I would appreciate some privacy over the coming weeks while I spend time with family and close friends ahead of what I hope will be a successful season for Sussex."
The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) have called up leg spinner Adil Rashid from the England Lions tour of the West Indies.
"I would like to offer my full support to Michael on behalf of everyone involved with the England team and the ECB," said ECB managing director Hugh Morris.
"Michael has been an integral part of the England set up in recent years and while he will be missed, our priority now is to ensure that he returns home to his family and is able to spend time recovering with a strong support network around him."
Left-arm spinner and lower order batsman Yardy had managed just two wickets at an expensive 79.50 apiece and contributed a mere 19 runs at the World Cup.
He was not set to feature in the quarter-final in any event, having been omitted from the team that beat the West Indies by 18 runs to secure England's place in the last eight.
Yardy has though played in 28 one-day internationals since making his debut in 2006 and was a member of the England side that won the World Twenty20 in the Caribbean last year.
England had already lost star batsman Kevin Pietersen and fast bowlers Stuart Broad and Ajmal Shahzad to injury at this tournament.
Yardy's condition appeared reminiscent of the problem that forced former England opener Marcus Trescothick to retire from international cricket.

Immediately after India win, there was a short interview with Raina, he was very blunt in saying that I proved it to "them" and thank you Gary for backing me till end.I guess he referred Dhoni as "them" .CRamS wrote:I am not sure what you mean here? Usually, Raina comes as a very polite speaker, I have seen him when captaining CSK. But here his tone was really different.

Sehwag need to step-up against porkies. After that opening century against BangBros he has not tried to play 40+ overs again.

We got quality match practice batting against a good quality pace attack today, hopefully it will work in our favour on Wed against the Taliban

Seriously, the difference in this match was presence of Raina instead of Pathan

Re: The Cricket Thread
For Paaki na-mards this match will be everything. These lowlifes have no IPL, not much high profile games against quality teams. The Londonistan experience turned sour with 3 jehadis getting banned.
To play against India is their only chance to get the limelight back.
We need to defeat prorkies by huge margin and disrupt any sudden orgasm of Burkha Dhutt and cabal.

Re: The Cricket Thread
need to keep an eye on umar gul...pak has the kind of bowling attack which raina and pathan both can lay into..if sehwag cannot play both can surely play together.
Re: The Cricket Thread
The 'pagerate' has been high nowadays. Looks like we will hit 200 by the end. Let's keep this thread please...
Re: The Cricket Thread
Sickening situation - Why India always gets into this crap. Had Pak lost to WI there would be no need for these to enter India. Now we have a Indo-Pak match in Mohali and all the candlekissers will line up. crap,.
Re: The Cricket Thread
are there any Oz cric forums ?
Re: The Cricket Thread
i thought it was over when gambhir and dhoni were gone quickly. luckily raina and yuvraj kept rotating strike with 4's to add muscle. nice job. now, let's finish off the Pakis spectacularly and head for the final
Re: The Cricket Thread
SMG said on starcricket that knowing the porkis , they would want to conquer mumbai and be hell bent on that.
Re: The Cricket Thread
We all need to recognise the amazing job Yuvraj has done in this world cup with bat and ball!!! Truly amazing. Four half-centuries, and I don't know how many wickets + catches!
That said, Pathan will play in the next game and lay into the Paks like the Pakisatan does not exist... Dudes, the guy is a butcher and we need one like him. I think we can live without pranthan... but if they want to replace munaf with him, no objections there... maybe leave out Virat and keep Raina. Looks like Virat has run out of steam and is entering an "out of form" phase... although I think that guy is an awesome batsman... Aganist the Paks, bloody hell, cant we play 12?
