from RT: Thousands of Shia Muslims gathered in central Mumbai on Thursday to commemorate the sacred ritual of Arbaeen. The event, also known in Urdu and Hindi as Chehlum, marks the 40th day of mourning following the massacre of the Prophet Muhammad's grandson Imam Hussein in the desert of Karbala, a date marked for the last 1,400 years. Mourners passed through the streets of Mumbai in procession, hitting themselves with sharp objects to offer their sacrifice to the Holy Prophet's family.
Turkey says it deployed 150 soldiers in the town of Bashiqa year to train Iraqi Kurdish forces fighting the Islamic State (IS) group.
Mosul has been under the control of IS militants since last year.
Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu described the deployment as a routine troop rotation. He said Turkish forces had set up a camp near Mosul a year ago in co-ordination with Iraq.
Events will start that will culminate with us taking back Constantinople. Constantinople will be given to us. There will be war between Russia and Turkey. In the beginning the Turks will believe they are winning, but this will lead to their destruction. The Russians, eventually, will win and take over Constantinople. After that it will be ours. They will be forced to give it to us.”

Jewish sage Vilna Gaon 1797When you hear that the Russians have captured the city of Crimea, you should know that the times of the Messiah have started, that his steps are being heard. And when you hear that the Russians have reached the city of Constantinople, you should put on your Shabbat (Sabbath) clothes and don’t take them off, because it means that the Messiah is about to come any minute.”

NY to host third round of Syria talks in December – Kerry
The third round of talks on settling the Syrian crisis will take place in New York later in December, John Kerry, US Secretary of State, said. The two previous rounds of talks were held in Vienna, Austria in October and November. During those meetings, international mediators agreed on a nine-point plan to end the Syrian civil war and a six-month timeframe for the country to form an interim unity government, with the goal of holding elections within 18 months.

Good - perhaps Russians could help? Would like too those Russian anti-tank bomblets in action once again. If Turk AF tries to intervene, Russians can lay an air-to-air trap of their own...Singha wrote:Haidar Sumeri @IraqiSecurity 11h11 hours ago

Turkey supports terrorists against democratic forcesv- Dec 05, 2015DEIR EZZOR – Extremists of the Islamic State group (ISIS) have executed two prominent Syrian media activists in the stranded eastern city of Deir ez-Zor, activists reported on Saturday.
Sami al-Rabah and Mustafa al-Hass, who used to cover stories on the daily atrocities by the terror group in Deir ez-Zor, were executed by ISIS militants on Friday, an informed source and eyewitnesses confirmed to ARA News. They were both shot dead in front of a crowd of people in central Deir ez-Zor.
Both victims were working on behalf of the Deir ez-Zor Media Center, which has been documenting ISIS violations against civilians in the city and its countryside for more than a year.

With its inept and spineless president, its corrupt financial system, disastrous foreign policy, out of control military industrial complex, and social and moral degeneration, it's becoming more and more obvious to the entire world that the US is in terminal decline.
Nowhere is this more on display than in the parade of buffoons who’ve recently served as spokespeople at the State Department and the Pentagon. Click here and here for Russia Insider’s side-splitting videos of these folks on the job, starting with Jen Psaki and Marie Harf, and moving on to John Kirby and Elizabeth Trudeau. Their jaw-dropping stupidity has made the US a laughing stock around the world.
Take Maria Zakharova, spokeswoman of the Russian Foreign Ministry. Sharp and witty, she runs circles around her US counterparts, and ordinary Russians get a kick out of her media appearances.
Here are a few quotes from her recent interview with the Russian newspaper Komsomolskaya Pravda.
“There is no such thing as moderate terrorism.”
“The label “moderate terrorists” reminds me of the footage showing IS militants cutting out their victims’ hearts and eating them in front of a terrified crowd. Should we call this moderate cannibalism?”
“The fundamental difference in our positions is this: Washington cares about appearances, Moscow cares about defeating the IS.”
“Ten years ago the US admitted that the Iraq invasion was wrong. - It would be great if in addition to admitting their mistakes, they would also stop making them…”
“Until the US invaded Iraq, Iraqis had no terrorism. Now they’d give anything to rid themselves of it”
“Three or four years ago, in their wildest dreams, no European could have guessed that Syria would impact him personally - that a refugee would come to his door demanding “compensation” for Europe’s support of America’s war.
Who would have thought the chaos in the Middle East would spread like wildfire, threatening the whole world?
The Middle East might not survive another black hole. If Syria is subjected to regime change it will become another link in a destructive chain of events. … the Middle East will be one big fire, making IS’ day. That’s why Russia stresses the crucial importance of preserving the Syrian state, so it can fight terrorism.”
“Russia does not lie about what others are doing. We do not disseminate lies, quoting bogus sources, as the US does on a daily basis.”
“At the UN General Assembly meeting in New York, a Middle Eastern representative told me:
'We do not agree with what you’re doing and will do everything to create the impression that it is wrong,' adding: 'Perception is more important than reality.'
What country said that?
A country in the middle east - (3 guesses as to which country she is talking about - edit) - and now they are trying to create a false reality - to fool the people - watch the movie “Wag the Dog” if you need it spelled out for you.”

ErDOGan had a good run but all good things come to an end.
Appearing on NBC's "Meet the Press," Sen. Graham also said he wants the White House to "come up with a regional army to go in and destroy the caliphate in Raqqa, Syria."
Sen. Graham warned, "there's a 9/11-style attack coming to America, and I can tell you who's planning it: the leaders of ISIL (ISIS). And I can tell you where they're at: they're in Raqqa, Syria."
linkSen. Paul, known for being outspoken on this issue, asked "How much liberty do we want to give up for a false sense of security?"
He further claimed "no terrorist case has been thwarted" because of bulk data collection.
Taking the opposite view, Sen. Graham said he would "reinstate the NSA program as robust as possible, within Constitutional limits." He also criticized budget cuts that he says are "gutting" the FBI.
Both senators also reacted strongly on the question of increased gun regulations in the wake of the San Bernardino attack. Sen. Graham responded, "Gun control is not part of a strategy to defeat radical Islam or take (ISIS) down."
