yawn - At least 34 killed, scores injured in ‘suicide blast’ near 12th Rabiul Awwal procession in Mastung: hospital official
At least 34 people were killed — including a police officer — and more than 130 were injured in what officials believe was a suicide blast near a mosque in Balochistan’s Mastung district on Friday.

Dr Saeed Mirwani, chief executive officer of Shaheed Nawab Ghous Bakhsh Raisani Memorial Hospital confirmed the casualties to Dawn.com, while City Station House Officer (SHO) Mohammad Javed Lehri said a police official was among the dead.

Mastung Assistant Commissioner (AC) Attahul Munim said the explosion took place when people were gathering for an Eid-i-Miladun Nabi procession near Madina Masjid at Alfalah Road.

He further confirmed that the blast took place by the car of DSP Gishkori who was to remain on the sidelines of the procession.

SHO Lehri said the explosion was a “suicide blast” and that the bomber exploded himself next to DSP Gishkori’s car.

Social media abuzz as UAE minister's resemblance to Maryam goes viral
A video featuring UAE's Minister of State for International Cooperation, Reem Bint Ebrahim Al Hashimy, addressing the United Nations General Assembly has taken social media by storm, leaving netizens astonished at her uncanny resemblance to Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Chief Organiser, Maryam Nawaz.

In the video, Minister Al Hashimy can be seen delivering her speech at the global forum, and her style of speaking, attire, and hairstyle appear strikingly similar to those of Maryam Nawaz, leading to widespread speculation  and commentary on social media.

LeT operative's mystery killing in Pakistan spooks ISI
Ziaur Rahman was a Lashkar operative and his killing almost mimicked the murder of another asset of theirs - Paramjit Singh Panjwar, chief of Khalistan Commando Force. Panjwar, wanted by India for terrorism, was killed by unidentified gunmen when he was out for a morning walk near his residence in Lahore in May.

The similarity in the two killings has led the ISI, Pakistan's spy agency and the choreographer of the terror directed against India, to put around a dozen of its "assets" in "safe houses", said sources who have been tracking the developments. Perhaps, the precaution would have been deemed even more necessary because of the killings of two other Laskhar operatives - Abu Qasim Kashmiri in Rawalkot and Qari Khurram Shehzad in Nazimabad - in September, sources said.

Yeah. While the entire Pakistan is unravelling, their cricket team and their elite is still smoking very quality stuff. Sample this:

In their haraami editorial for which there is no need to give any links, a khacchar writes:
The timing of PM Trudeau’s disclosure is significant. It has taken the shine off PM Modi’s self-coronation as a leader of South Asia. Worse, it has dented India’s ambition to secure a place as a permanent member of the UN Security Council.

He is being reminded that defying UN resolutions consistently for the past 75 years are poor credentials for a seat at its round table. Deflecting an accusation made by a fellow Commonwealth prime minister (who flew over 11,000 kilometres to confront him with ‘credible proof’ of Indian involvement) is yet another unfortunate example of India’s brittle diplomacy.

PM Modi is not inclined to listen to anyone connected with the word Congress, least of all Annie Besant, the first woman president in 1917 of the Indian National Congress. She had cautioned once: “Refusing to believe until proof is given is a rational position; denial of all outside of our own … experience is absurd.” It will take time to repair the damage done by the Nijjar/ Panjwar murders to the carefully crafted murti of Mahatma Modi. Remember, though, Gandhi was the victim, not the assassin.

According to the FIA, the group, consisting of 16 persons, including a child, 11 women and four men, was initially traveling on Umrah visas.

8 more ‘beggars’ travelling to Saudi Arabia offloaded at Multan airport: FIA
Imran Gabol, October 1, 2023

The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) late on Saturday night offloaded eight alleged beggars in the disguise of Umrah pilgrims from a Kingdom of Saudi Arabia-bound flight at Multan airport.
According to a statement issued by FIA immigration officer Tariq Mehmood, it transpired during the immigration that the group was travelling to Saudi Arabia for the “purpose of begging”.
The agency said the group handed over an amount of Rs185,000 to a man namely Mr Javed, who got their visas processed.
“They said they would beg there and half of the begged amount would be handed over to the sub-agent,” the FIA statement said, adding that statements of the group along with their passports were seized and the said passengers were sent to FIA’s Anti Human Trafficking and Smuggling Wing in Multan for further legal action.
“A case is being registered against the culprits under Trafficking in Persons Act, 2018,” the FIA added.
The agency has launched a crackdown against alleged beggars travelling abroad. Two days ago, FIA offloaded 16 alleged beggars in the disguise of Umrah pilgrims from a KSA-bound flight at the same airport.
