I think it will be intersectional candidate - HINO - Kamala Harris. She has the blessings of HiC and Ombaba.
Kamala will get the AG position as she will prosecute Republicans thoroughly using the strong arm of the Justice Dept. She argued for a social media ban on Trump and others. The one thing that is impressive about the Urban Naxals is that they know how to use the levers of power when handed to them. This lady was a high ranking state judge and state AG she knows how to use the power of the law.

The commission, for the first time since 2004, recommended that the State Department designate India as a "country of particular concern," a status it says is reserved for "the worst of the worst." Thirteen other countries have that status, including Iran, North Korea, Myanmar, Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. The commission called on the Trump administration to impose sanctions on "Indian government agencies and officials responsible for severe violations of religious freedom," given its treatment of religious minorities, including Christians as well as Muslims.

Hilarious. Who are these agencies and officials of the Indian Government? And what did they do? What are these severe violations of religious freedom by the Government of India?

I loved the retort from the GoI
the spokesperson said the Indian government would now regard the commission as "an organization of particular concern and will treat it accordingly."
What right do these people think they have to judge others by the standards of the only two religions that have engaged in forced conversions, genocide, murder, rape as weapons of religious colonial conquest.
They should be reminded of the treatment of Buddhists by christians in South Korea and South Vietnam during the Vietnam war.
Just because India does not want to end up like the Philipines or S.Korea or latin America is hardly religious oppression.
They should also be reminded of religious christian fascism in Bolivia and the fact that the natives have to produce a baptism certificate before they can be admitted to university.
note how comments are disabled and the image of armed troops.

Classic case of pot calling the kettle black.
The US is the last country on earth to lecture India (or anyone else) on human rights or religious freedoms.
They cannot even conduct fair and free elections in that country. It is an embarrassment to put it mildly. India does a far better job in that department. They have a disproportionate number of African Americans in jail, the greatest illustration of wealth disparity, a police state with zero privacy, an alarmingly crumbling and rotten infrastructure, a racist & misogynistic President and a complicit US Congress that supports him, a piss poor health care system (clearly evident during COVID-19), the list goes on....
People that live in glass houses should not throw stones.
P.S. But you can still buy our weapons. Because money TRUMPS human rights and religious freedoms
The F-21 represents the greatest industrial opportunity for India. Make in India ki Jai Ho!

Are bigoted white nationalists like this really qualified to judge others?
Instead of whines, India should have guts to publish reports on US. Atrocity literature for atrocity literature. That's how world works...
Or consider it as dog barks on elephant and ignore...

More Tibetans, and Zoroastrians, Jews, Jains, Sikhs, and of course balanced adherents of the two largest global religions, should speak out, and counter this garbage. Atheists and agnostics too need to get their voices heard.

We @HinduAmerican have engaged @USCIRF for years.
Recently, @USCIRF
-hired Pakistani activist to write anti-India report https://hinduamerican.org/blog/us-relig ... and-india/
-held multiple hearings perpetuating misinformation on India
-falsely alleged Indian hospitals separate patients based on religion.
It is clear that @USCIRF is affected by structural weakness & systemic bias that prevents it from meeting its mandate.
Note, @StateDept @SecPompeo usually ignores @uscirf recommendations, as it is not a policy-making body. We hope that continues.

USCIRF is not an executive branch agency and is a commission. Commision members numbers:
3 by president
3 by house leadership
3 by senate leadership
1 ambassador at large

It would be interesting to note that if the USCIRF report has anything to do with the Trump and WH twitter accounts unfollowing Modi and president of India.

Gary Bauer (Trump's appointee) and Tenzin Dorjee dissented. The third dissent came from Johnny Moor. Another commissioner Anurima Bhargava appears to be of Indian descent obviously did not.

Anurima Bhargava appears to be an Ivy League BIF member. Her resume checks all the right boxes. Her term ends on 19 May 2020, and it would be interesting if Pelosi nominates her for another term. In any case, this person and the immediate family in the US (parents, spouse and children) must lose any OCI status and visa revoked.

Not really. The USCIRF is a small organization. In 2018, they had 17 employees in the Washington D.C. area. What we need to find out is what amount of money was appropriated and what amount of money was spent by this commission on travel and contracts. Much of this is in the public domain. The employees and contractors of the agency have most likely left a trail on various social media disparaging India, Hindus, and it could be outright racist.
What should NRIs and Indian Americans do to help correct the negative portrayal of India and the brazenly hinduphobic viewpoints in the west?

Build pressure on their local senators to denounce USCIRF. Lobbying to get our own (not the BiF variety) appointed.

The USCIRF is a corrupt organization and racist. Its commissioners, staff, and contractors have an ulterior agenda. This can be proven by showing they've acted far from impartially. They in fact need to be defunded by the US congress.

Let’s see, in the US the azan is commonly heard in every town. In the US Muslims have their own personal law. In the US a Muslim became president (Obama). India needs to follow the US in these matters.
In 20+ yrs of existence, USCIRF has had 54 commissioners. Commissioners were:
1. Bishops
2. Cardinal
3. Archbishop
4. President of American Baptist #Churches
5. President of both Eastern Baptist Theological Seminary & #Christian group World Vision
A funeral home in New York City overwhelmed by the coronavirus pandemic resorted to storing dozens of bodies in unrefrigerated rented U-Haul trucks outside, police said Wednesday.
The NYPD was called to the neighborhood after a passerby complained about the smell outside the Andrew T. Cleckley Funeral Home in the Flatlands neighborhood of Brooklyn.
Police found the home had rented four trucks which were holding about 50 corpses. Some bodies were also found lying on the facility’s floor, according to the New York Post, citing law enforcement sources.
Here comes the kicker:
No criminal charges were brought, according to an official speaking to the Associated Press, but the funeral home was cited for failing to control the odors.
Interesting how fast such things have become the new normal.

Au contraire, tperkin's background should be used to widely discredit USCIRF and India should hire lobbyists to widely spread the message, and outrage. But knowing this GOI, nothing will happen. At best sambit patra will whine on social media. Only if his party were in power, and he was some sort of Govt official. Then things, I assure you, would be different.

Exactly. It speaks volumes though, that not one official or quasi-official political body from the desi side has even put out anything like the sort.

This org of particular concern has 3 members nominated by US president. But only one of them voted against this. The very fact that US govt hasn't publicly distanced itself from the org's report is also a giveaway.
Either potus is super occupied with Covid19 and these evan-jihadi + Uncle Tom members ran their own show or this was done in collusion with US govt.
India should make it very clear that US cannot play such double games.

USCIRF is an insignificant organization for India, plain and simple. We can find fault with one member or the other, or their criticism of India, but then they also criticize a bunch of other countries. The member Bauer dissented this time, but he too like Perkins is a member of the same hate group (Family Council or something like that). Why bother to anal-ize these guys when there are better things to do. Do Russia or China bother to respond ?
Yes, once in a while the MEA expresses displeasure and seem to have been seriously irked this time around. But overall its best to say: we appreciate your hard work, but we are going to do what we want to do. Don't bother trying to visit India.
