The notorious Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) leader “Abu Za’id Al-Tunisi” has been reportedly killed in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor.

Abu Za’id was a Tunisian national that was known by his fellow associates as the “hunchback” due to his kyphosis, which causes a curvature in the spine.

According to ISIS social media activists, he was killed by strangulation in the city of Al-Mayadeen

that's great for rear areas and civilians but not front lines that are subject to arty barrages, etc.

these shams front people are mostly in aleppo and idlib where ceasefire was prevalent. some would be in damascus where again saa-rebels are mostly in ceasefire mode.

ISIS does not have much artillery if the rebel-ISIS lines were being monitored.

Kurds across affiliations will rally behind this. Oclan was not just admired by the commie Kurds. He sort of represented the Kurds in their struggle against Turks.

However, unable to find any other news source on this.

Its about time that the Turkish Orcs are taught a lesson that they will remember a long time.

Meanwhile in the south, IS commits one of its biggest massacres on cement company workers, not sure about their religious preference.

Probably a way to vent their frustration before losing further in the east in Deir.

Initial confusion of reports listed the massacre. Since then ISIS has clarified it has released the 300 workers but executed 04 druze among them. They have also held captive 20 more whom they claim to be NDF forces.

Countryside civilians have already been warned to leave the front lines. Once that is verified time to use heavy bombers methinks. Rebels just used ceasefire to rearm and form new alliances not consider any peace

US Deploys B-52 Bombers Against ISIS
B-52, the long-range planes, will provide "flexibility and endurance" in the US-led coalition campaign against the terrorists.
Story Highlights
US Air Force deployed Cold War-era B-52 bombers to fight against ISIS
They will provide "flexibility & endurance" in US-led coalition campaign
B-52, first US heavy bomber, was developed to carry nuclear weapons
Washington, United States: The US Air Force on Saturday deployed Cold War-era B-52 bombers to bolster the fight against the ISIS group in Syria and Iraq, stepping up efforts to defeat the extremists.

The B-52 Stratofortress aircraft, which arrived in Qatar, were based in Saudi Arabia and last flown operationally in May 2006 as part of the war in Afghanistan, air force officials said.

"The B-52 will provide the coalition continued precision and deliver desired airpower effects," said Lieutenant General Charles Brown, commander of US Air Forces Central Command.

The long-range planes will provide "flexibility and endurance" in the US-led coalition campaign against the terrorists, he added.

"The B-52 demonstrates our continued resolve to apply persistent pressure on (the ISIS group) and defend the region in any future contingency," Brown said.

The B-52, the first US long-range heavy bomber, was developed to carry nuclear weapons and has been adapted over the years. It has been used in missions in the Vietnam War, the 1991 Gulf War and in Afghanistan.

It was not immediately clear how many of the bombers had been deployed.
