Well said. This picture of Zia and Bhutto illustrates this so well. As we all know, Zia later hanged him to death. This picture was likely taken before Bhutto made Zia the COAS.g.sarkar wrote: .....

Added later: Regarding Gunnar Myrdal and Pakistani diplomats being more friendly and having social graces that are absent with Indians, in my own humble opinion the Westerners are unable to understand open maska/oiling/buttering/huzoor mai-baap as practiced in the Subcontinent. They mistake this attitude for social grace and humbleness. Good old Gen Zia was famous for his humble nature and social graces.

If you notice closely, Bhutto and Zia seem to be shaking with their left hands and Bhutto has his right hand on Zia's forearm (something which shines some more light on the inter-se relationship between the two when this photo was clicked!)
Just weeks before the crucial Amarnath Yatra, Pakistan has shared information with India and United States that there could be a terrorist attack using an improvised explosive device (IED) mounted on a vehicle. Intelligence sources confirmed that Pakistan is said to have shared information regarding the threat of a possible attack in South Kashmir.
Sources indicated that terrorists could carry out a Pulwama like terror attack that led to retaliatory Balakot Surgical Strikes. Though the information was shared but top sources in security grid said that the input shared was "generic" in nature. Officials said no specifics have been shared.
The security forces are on high alert with just weeks to go for the crucial Amarnath Yatra. Incidentally, the information was shared ahead of the crucial SCO Summit held at Bishkek which was attended by both PM Narendra Modi and Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan.
The attack, the Pakistanis said, is being planned to avenge the killing of Zakir Musa. Musa launched and headed an al-Qaeda affiliate called Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind in Kashmir after breaking away from the Hizbul Mujahideen in May 2017.
One of the top most wanted terrorist, he was killed in an operation in the Tral area last month.
A top source in intelligence grid said that Musa was on the hit list of JEM and ISI after he rebelled against Pakistan, unwilling to take commands from across the border.
The source said that a relative of Musa who is known to be close to the now banned Jamaat-e-Islami Jammu and Kashmir conveyed to spare the life of Musa.
The communication, according to reports were stark. He was to give up ISIS and take up Al Qaeda which was more in line with the Pakistan based terror organisation. Musa was till then on the hit list of both the security forces and Pak backed terror organisation.
Now the same organisations which once wanted him eliminated, want to avenge his killing by a retaliatory suicide attack.
Meanwhile top sources said Pakistan was sharing information to avoid any sort of blame or probability of retaliation by India.
Major General (retired) PK Sehgal, a security expert said, "Pakistan has shared information ahead of the Pathankot terror attack. But they have done little to take action against terrorist. But with Paris-headquartered based Financial Action Task Force breathing down its neck on funds allocated to terror groups, it has little option but to pretend to act."
Meanwhile there have been political reactions to the developments. D Raja, left leader expressed concern on information being shared. He said "I hope the government will be on alert and see what is happening across the border in Kashmir."
Another leader Sanjay Singh doubted Pakistan's sincerity in sharing intelligence.
Everyone knows about the Pak sponsored terror. It is a universal truth, he added.
Since the Pulwama attack, there have been multiple alerts on IED attack and vehicle borne attacks.

AAA :From March 22 to March 24, 1940, the All India Muslim League held its annual session at Minto Park, Lahore. This session proved to be historical.[/b]
BBB :The Resolution was passed on March 24. It laid down only the principles, with the details left to be worked out at a future date. It was made a part of the All India Muslim League's constitution in 1941. It was on the basis of this resolution that in 1946 the Muslim League decided to go for one state for the Muslims, instead of two.
2. Democracy what Mr Jinnah said - Anjum Altaf November 28, 2004]CCC : Having passed the Pakistan Resolution, the Muslims of India changed their ultimate goal. Instead of seeking alliance with the Hindu community, they set out on a path whose destination was a separate homeland for the Muslims of India
AAA : Seeing that I have been writing on democracy, a reader has directed my attention to a speech by Mr Jinnah delivered at the Aligarh Muslim University Union on March 6, 1940.
3. It’s time to bury the hatchet - Ahmad FaruquiThere is one particular passage in this speech that literally jumps out at the reader. It proceeds as follows: "Two years ago at Simla I said that the democratic parliamentary system of government was unsuited to India. I was condemned everywhere in the Congress press. I was told that I was guilty of disservice to Islam because Islam believes in democracy. So far as I have understood Islam, it does not advocate a democracy which would allow the majority of non-Muslims to decide the fate of the Muslims. We cannot accept a system of government in which the non-Muslims merely by numerical majority would rule and dominate us."
[AAA] In his book, “Jinnah: India-Partition-Independence,” Jaswant Singh tackled these questions head on. A one-time stalwart of the right-wing BJP party, Singh was at various times India’s face to the world as either its finance or external affairs minister
Cheers[BBB]Singh stated that one of three Muslims chose to stay in India and asked why the Quaid knowingly had sacrificed them, knowing they would be reduced to a small minority. He wondered whether the Quaid saw the inconsistency in using the Two-Nation Theory to create Pakistan and then famously putting it to bed in his 11 August 1947 speech.

Lahore: Pakistan plans to shift the students of Mumbai attack mastermind Hafiz Saeed's Jamaat-ud-Dawa (JuD) and Falah-i-Insaniat Foundation (FIF) to the government-run schools after an international terror financing watchdog raised objection over allocation of Rs 180 crore for these institutions.
A senior government official told PTI on Tuesday that the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) had objected the Pakistani government's allocation of Rs 180 crore for running the JuD and FIF schools across the country. "The government could not satisfy the FATF about running a good number of seminaries and schools of JuD and FIF after taking over their control in March. Therefore, the Imran Khan administration is seriously considering shifting the students of these seminaries and schools to the government-run institutions," he said.

Indeed No! The Hypocrite is Preparing to be the Next Prime Minister! Most pedophiles in UK are of Pakistani descent: British home secretary
ISLAMABAD: Most pedophiles in the UK are of Pakistani descent and ignoring their ethnicity will only encourage extremists, the British home secretary Sajid Javid who himself is of Pak origin told BBC Radio 4 on Thursday.
Three people were killed and several injured when a passenger train hit a freight car near Hyderabad on Thursday, Edhi volunteers and hospital staff said.
One of the deceased, identified as Aslam Chandio and who breathed his last in the intensive care unit (ICU), was the driver of the ill-fated Jinnah express, his colleague said.
The Lahore-bound Jinnah Express, which had departed from Karachi, rammed into the Rear End of a stationary goods train that was carrying coal and was bound for Yusufwala. The other two were identified as Syed Noman Ali and Yasir Bashir.
