That is RFE-RL (Radio Liberty) USA's propaganda Arm -- no other non USA or non UK source of news has this.
Consortium of Indian Defence Websites

In a statement carried by state news agency TASS, Channel One said that "an incident took place with an extraneous woman in shot. An internal check is being carried out."
TASS cited a law enforcement source as saying the woman has been detained and could be charged under legislation banning public acts that aim to "discredit the use of Russia's armed forces".
Why would TASS cover that news that is basically contrary to Putin's narrative?srikandan wrote:https://m.yenisafak.com/en/world/russia ... ks-3590387
TASS website was attacked. No such news of woman with placard. Just do a web search and pick one non US/EU/UK website that has this news. Just tried that with multiple search engines. This is manufactured news.

Reuters is saying 3 million barrels not tonnes. Delivery is in May.John wrote:Here is the link:yogeshkumar wrote:On a positive news.. Fair enough. I think this one looks legit, but needs to be verified. Lots of Russia media and sources that don't tow the US/EU line are being shut down. RT Live was shut down by YouTube - Google just today, along with Oliver Stone's 2016 documentary "Ukraine on Fire". They are available on Rumble and recommend to download that app.srikandan wrote:Mort ji, my only point here is to be skeptical of news items that are not reported by all sides. Good post SriKandan.srikandan wrote:Mort ji, my only point here is to be skeptical of news items that are not reported by all sides. In this case, as ks_sachin ji points out, why would TASS report something that works against Russia in Psy war terms? Maybe Marina O. Really exists and worked at Russia One. But did Marina O. actually appear in that video, what is the name of that admirable news reader who did not bat an eyelid as Marina O. Suddenly screamed behind her...unless the news reader and Marina O. both exist but were never in the same frame as that video claims. We can only think we know that any of this real, but we are reacting to 1000s of points of data with questionable and varying levels of truthiness.
Interesting thing is that the trading company from which IOC bought oil is Vitol, a Dutch energy trading company. One of the largest companies in the world, who frequently trades with sanctioned countries like Iran; and they have paid fines numerous times. On one side Europeans are putting sanctions and on the other side its companies are making a killing trading Russian oil. Sanctions anyoneJohn wrote:...

So if the Russians are fighting this information warfare are reporting that they are arresting people for holding placards that works against Putin's interest, why would TASS report it? Just makes no sense to me. Smells wrong.Ah. But my question is, would they?
Information warfare is part and parcel of combat every side is doing it...We all believe what we want to believe.
From what I have heard there is some resistance to completely killing all Russian O/G supplies. The Germans in particular - However it is open source and could be a plant by the Russians to sow dissension in the western ranks. You never know in these days of information warfare. Or perhaps there are no sanctions and we are living in a matrix!!chanakyaa wrote:Interesting thing is that the trading company from which IOC bought oil is Vitol, a Dutch energy trading company. Looks like India is finally standing up for its own interests and its about time: https://www.cnn.com/2022/03/14/energy/i ... index.htmlMort Walker wrote:Reuters is saying 3 million barrels not tonnes. Delivery is in May.
One tonne of crude oil is about 3.33 barrels. India uses about 4.5 million barrels of oil per day.
As of now, you can buy all the Russian oil that you want. There is no sanction on Russia per se. The only problem is you can't use SWIFT messaging system for effecting payment. That said, the only hitch to using Russian oil is that most public sector refineries can't use the heavy Russian crude without blending with lighter crude. That limits the potential for import of Russian crude.chanakyaa wrote:Interesting thing is that the trading company from which IOC bought oil is Vitol, a Dutch energy trading company. To be fair, this guy "John" isn't the only one. Based on the tone of Indian reporting and the comments from regular Indian folks on YouTube and such, I get the impression that after 30+ years of Indian news media parroting the western media by default, most Indians have now been fully indoctrinated. The majority of our population subscribes to dangerous western propaganda that could lead us into WW3 or at the very least, be very bad for our interests. If you think Indians have only "drank the Kool-Aid" regarding Russia or Ukraine, you'd be mistaken. The western\globalist cabal's control of our news media means that they control the narrative across a wide range of issues.dnivas wrote:I seriously do not know what your agenda is here John, but your constant parroting of lies since the beginning ; 'ghost of Kiev' , '13 soldiers', bunch of fake psy ops twitter posts is harming the pro India focus of this forum. Since our independence, it is a fact that USSR/ Russia supported us more than the US and to an extent maintains a large proportion of our CURRENT weapons. you keep cheering for a Russian loss. This would cause a serious loss for India politically and economically. luckily for us , we are able to witness the spate of disinfo that can in the future in a moment turned on us [imagine all the indian business in the west having shit thrown on, or damaged].
Are you telling me that because Pakistan becomes part of Chinese Alliance where the chinese start placing missiles on our border, we should just roll over and say 'master'?
Would we not take the initiative and attack pakistan, what we consider part of our ethos. So far for a loss of < 1000 civilians the Russians have been slowly grinding down the Ukr cities. Your mental masters in the meantime would have blown up bridges, blown up the electricity grid, shock and awed cities, blown up wedding processions and then called them all "collateral damage". So shame on you sir.
When Putin visited Delhi in Dec 21 there was no agreement on weapons but only supply of Coal, Gas, Crude. We also canceled the Mig 29 procurement. Looks like some of this has been gamed, us buying stuff from Russia allows frees up supply to the West and reduces prices for them. Ukraine seems to the Bakra, while for Britain and USA, NATO becomes relevant.Mort Walker wrote:Reuters is saying 3 million barrels not tonnes. Delivery is in May.

HOW UKRAINE IS MANIPULATING THE WAR FOR A NATO INTERVENTION
On the 11/03/2022, A TU 141 over flew the whole length of Romania. With the Romanian Airforce sighting it for just 3 mins before it vanished from their screens. It then entered Croatian airspace was sighted by the Croatian Airforce for 5 mins. Before crashing in Zagreb.
now
Just three days after the event, a drone crashed in the Tărpiu village close to the Transylvanian city of Bistrița in Romania. Unlike the UAV that crashed in Croatia, this one carried no armament. It was identified as a Russian Orlan-10 reconnaisance drone.Like Croatia, Romania is a NATO member.
and then
https://www.standard.co.uk/news/uk/brit ... 87866.html
Britain bluntly warned Vladimir Putin on Monday that he would face “war with Nato” if even a “single toecap of a Russian soldier” stepped into the territory of the military alliance’s 30 members.
Fact
The TU 141 Drone looks like a missile, and was operational with the Soviet military in the 70s and 80s. It has been decommissioned ages ago by everyone. For some reason, it was reintroduced with the Ukrainian military in 2014.
23. We have reiterated at the highest levels of our leadership to all parties concerned that there is no other choice but the path of diplomacy and dialogue. We have emphasized to all member States of the UN that the global order is anchored on international law, UN Charter and respect for territorial integrity and sovereignty of states.
24. The Ukraine conflict has major economic implications. Its impact on energy and commodity prices is already visible. The disruption of global supply chain is expected to be significant. India has substantial dealings with both Russia and Ukraine. An assessment in this regard by the Government is underway. However, the House will appreciate that there is all the more need for an Atmanirbhar Bharat.
