I wonder where is the "ZOMG!!! XBox One is allowing the NSA to eavesdrop in my living room" crowd?? Now with this the NSA can eavesdrop in your bedroom and bathroom too, gathering big-Oh stats (Mort-indexed) and turd flush intelligence.

^^Its a sarcastic way of saying "OMG" and refers to people who in their haste and excitement to type "OMG" for making some inane idiotic comment, hit the "z" key instead of shift. So the technically correct version is "zOMG".

Besides mobile phones I thought mobility also carried the IP & technology for wireless networks including civilian and government as well? I know that Solutions got the radio systems for DoD and security agency contracts.

getting disappointed with Chrome. many a time after its open for hours and many tabs are opened and closed, it fails to open a URL as a new tab and will just sit there with white or black screen. when that happens sometimes even the other tabs dont work. a process restart is needed.

I am thinking of crawling back with bandaged musharaff to Firefox (like starscream always runs away fast when in danger, but crawls back to show his undying loyalty to megatron later) ... has old school looks but never had this issue. just need to figure out how to import all chrome bookmarks and its time to play faithful all-lie in TSP style.

something written by the elite, the MIB, the few the proud of the worlds best universities shouldnt exhibit such turd world behaviour. ....at the same time telephone exchanges and mobile gear written by middle aged and retired fuddy duddies wearing suspender pants still work resiliently decades after hitting production quality. old school bellcore/nortel-ottawa style of engineering vs "silicon valley smarts" :rotfl:

this whole "everything is in beta" concept isnt going to fly when people are expected to move vital functions out of dedicated standalone tools to "oh its in the cloud and run out of a browser" thing

IMHO I found Chrome to work better on OS X, but I still like Safari better. On Windows 7, I use Firefox/Aurora. I don't care for IE, any version.

On Linux, Chrome is very responsive, lot more so than Firefox. What is Aurora?

I switched back to Firefox after a long hiatus. I had originally switched to Chrome from FF after FF became a bloated PoS. The latest Chrome desktop version is a bit too buggy for me with random lags, restarts, crashes. The latest versions of IE are pretty good but for most users (including me), the older versions were so paki that I don't see myself using IE unless those memories fade away. IE's pakiness was the reason I moved first to Netscape Navigator, then Opera, then Firefox, then Chrome, now back to Firefox. My 1st browser was Lynx.

tsk tsk Mortu tau, why do you use Windoze when you hate it so much? :P Apna kaam OS X ya Linux me karo aur agar Windoze use karna hi hai, usko VM mein daalo. Bekaar mein apne aap ko torture karte ho...waise for Sammy Android phone users, getting tortured should be a daily ritual anyways.

My experience:
1.Best browsing experience on Mobile - IE.
2.Best on desktop Firefox (since last few weeks Chrome gives all the issues Singhaji mentioned). More so for Yahoo services.

How do you wake up a sleeping computer? My desktop is wired and the card is set to wake up the computer. I can wake up the computer within my home network but not from the internet. I send a magic packet while logged into my home network and it wakes up but if I am logged into say my neighbor's network it does not work.

That was true for their older pre-ICS ROMs. My S3 is a year old now. I remember it freezing on me exactly once in that time. I don't remember any "Force Close" errors that were common in old Android phones. Even laggy animations are exceedingly rare. Only complaint I've had is low battery life when using mobile data heavily, but that is not limited to Sammy. As for the annoying Sammy gimmicks, most of them were off by default when I bought the phone and weren't a problem. I tried them out and some of them work well, some don't. I have all of them off now to improve battery life, except for Smart Stay which is actually very useful.

So FF has reduced the bloat? Which version? But their rolling releases may not let one answer such a simple question.

This talk about bloat reminds of an incident from several years back. Once I ran into Eric Bina (his daughter and my daughter used to be in the same ballet class) and mentioned that I tried looking at the code of Mozilla and it is beeg. He misunderstood that I am saying it is bloated and went into a defensive crouch - tried to convince me that it has lots of functionality and does many things and hence the bloat. I was talking about the code size which of course is almost orthogonal to execution time memory footprint. Very smart guy - he is supposed to be Wozniak for Andressen's Jobs.

The new versions of FF are pretty fast and aren't memory hogs like a few previous versions. Only reason I use Chrome is because the fingerprint sensor in my HP laptop doesn't work with FF. HP has a plugin which integrates with Chrome and allows you to log in to web forms using the fingerprint sensor. The plugin is apparently not available for FF.

Jab kamapany bahadhur Windoze istimall karta hai tho kya karain? Waise aap ko jada problem hoti hai Sammy se? Shiad aap apna gussa bechara Sammy pe utar dete ho, aur asli gussa uncle Fester ke upar nikalna swasth ke liya jada aacha.

I keep all of the Sammy tools active on my NoteII without any detriment to battery life. Best damn phone E.V.E.R. Physically and functionally beat the hell out it and it keeps on ticking.

currently i use ipaadmini and iphone4s courtesy kaampany bhadur, nokia lumia 520 courtesy
me meager earnings on the same wifi network it takes safari to load google
21 second on 4s
19 second on ipaadmini
IE takes 2 second on Nokia 520 intrigued went on to the net and found out about win 8.1 free download for testing offered to all who is interested
just loike Linux, after installing just loike most Linux distros it is getting faster now it takes just 5 second to get to the logiin screen and 4 to 5 seconds to shut down
and there was no need to download any drivers for any peripheral so my dread of "micky will conquer the world is getting true"
