In fact, the black marble is being used to practice against fast in coming deliveries from Zaheer Khan and perhaps Nehra too. It was first implemented by that street rag Javed Miandad when he was the coach.

Nope, no tickets. Large bunch of friends coming over from Dally though, will be meeting them tomorrow night for dinner.
Will be screaming Ganeshji's name all through though, and waiting for an India-whoever final on Saturday :)

Nachiket - spot on! Heck, even during the NZ-Canada match, people were screaming the "Wankhede mein aaya bhoot, ..." cusses nice and loud :rotfl:

What about Afridi, Umar Gul, Shaun Tait, Kamran Akmal & co. They have been far worse than Sreesanth in behaviour, why only SDRE's have to behave good.

India races to get Nehra, Munaf unfit in time for semi-final
Anand Ramachandran
March 28, 2011

With only days to go before their high-pressure semi-final game against Pakistan in Mohali, team India is desperately battling to get seamers Ashish Nehra and Munaf Patel unfit in time.

"Yes, the lack of injuries to Ashish and Munaf is a major concern," said skipper MS Dhoni to bewildered reporters at a press conference. "We're doing our best to get at least one of them out of action, ideally both, to maximise our chances of victory against Pakistan on Wednesday."

Explaining further, Dhoni said "If we can successfully injure one of our seamers other than Zaheer, we can bring in Praveen Kumar as an emergency replacement. Surely you'll agree that it's our best bet now.

"They're both thorough professionals, fully committed to the team's cause. In fact, even as we speak, they're both working extra hard with the physio to make sure that they get completely unfit as soon as possible, so we can start the paperwork to bring Praveen in. All it takes is a lovely strained groin, or a delightful pulled hamstring, or perhaps even an epic cracked rib, and Navjot's your uncle. Replacement player!" chirped the Indian captain, adroitly using adjectives to describe things they've possibly never been used to describe before.

When a journalist pointed out that a similar strategy could be implemented for Piyush Chawla as well, Dhoni replied, "I only said that Piyush isn't mentally strong. Physically, he's right up there. In fact, you could call him the R Ashwin of physical toughness. In fact, I just did."

Team coach Gary Kirsten has been requested by the BCCI to put a proper injury coach and unfitness trainer in place before he leaves at the end of the World Cup.

"You have to agree that, fairly often, international cricket teams are faced with situations where they'd be happier if one or more of their selected squad members weren't available to play," said Kirsten. "As a professional unit, you have to be prepared to make sure that you're not stuck with a fully fit squad at the wrong time - such as in this very World Cup. Look at the way Australia and England handled it with Hussey and Morgan coming in. That's the kind of level we need to be at."

My colleagues are already whining to their customers in Massa regarding evening calls and missing on the greatest piece of action.
Couple of them compared it to SuperBowl for better understanding :) and lo suddenly most of the calls are postponed on D-day.
Well truth be told, some of the customers are desi log who themselves want to be watching the match from haram channels in office.

quoting in full here.. it is just because he is an YesDRE that prevents him doing such things. But, don't you think he over does it? I recently read what really Dhoni said about him and changed my mind. He was particularly unhappy with him not because of his aggression that is required, but he shows that on wrong objects and subjects, especially on his own team members.

btw, here is one that supports the aggression theory.
"I like the aggression of the team, particularly in the field," Wright said
http://www.espncricinfo.com/icc_cricket ... 08369.html
So, the week point his bad aggression. Now, if dhoni is willing to accept it, then we can save some 25 to 50 runs from fielding as well.

Every one would agree with BS Bedi here:-
http://www.resultupdate.com/8491-sreesa ... ehra-bedi/

But, perhaps Dhoni may not.

Your link points to a facebook page which wants a person to become some Arun Kumar Singh's friend. What? if this is intentional, I certainly do not appreciate it.

The link is fine, it opens to a group called "Indians who want Pakistan to win the Mohali semi-final and vice-versa".

I guess the BR jinx-masters fall in that category, in a sense.
