I recommend people watch and consider the implications of this new physics discovery (possible new type of directed energy weapon):
Leapfrog / Disruptive Technologies
Re: Leapfrog / Disruptive Technologies
Another interesting breakthrough tech -- glass substrate for semiconductor chips:
Glass is a long-known material whose properties and manufacturing understanding is very mature.
Glass also has excellent thermal stability, with low thermal expansion.

This is the Unitree B2-W! Wheeled Robot dog with all terrain capabilities. China is accelerating to the next level in robotics. They seem to be a few years ahead of everyone else.

Yeah, I'd posted about it in the Drones threadtandav wrote: ↑24 Dec 2024 09:58 https://x.com/ai_for_success/status/1871119305720684928

Unitree is promoting a consumer-grade model. This type of design shows how man-made inventions like the wheel can be combined with the biologically inspired legged mechanics, for the best of both worlds.
Chinese companies are just imitating an existing design invented by European researchers that's been around for years:China is accelerating to the next level in robotics. They seem to be a few years ahead of everyone else.

Re: Leapfrog / Disruptive Technologies
@vijayk gaaru, I keep getting perovskite mails which get into my junk box many times over. On a lark, I opened one of the emails. There was video which keeps talking about how perksovite is going to change everything and in the end they have spiel to sell penny stocks of companies which are doing something related to with perksovite solar this or efficiency that.
Indian startups are better served to not put scarce resources in to this in the hopes of "leapfrogging". It is all good for IIMs' cooked up case studies but then the budding strategery MBAs have no skin in the game neither do they have spare cash. As it is they would have taken loans to pay for MBAs.
