BR Forum Feedback
Re: BR Forum Feedback
I think there is a difference between BR and other forums which is shown in its higher poster:lurker ratio! I am not asking to ban on the first thread, but atleast a warning on the first useless thread would make them give more substance to their later posts!
Re: BR Forum Feedback
most get the message after the first thread is locked up.
what we should do is get a more readable list of do's and dont's during signing up.

Re: BR Forum Feedback
Well then maybe a 0.5 warning or a stern informal warning
be given, and please tell them that they are on probation now, and next 5 posts will have to be of good quality and in good spirit!
Just a request!

Could you direct me to that part of the page where the report button is? Thanks.I've made this point earlier as well, do NOT make complaints like this in the open.use the report function.Rahul.
Which is what I did, giving examples of Jat battles against Mehmud of Ghazni, Taimur, Gokula against Aurungzeb and finally Suraj Mal of Bharatpur.archan wrote:^ If you care about it so much, why not provide facts and shut him up? I presonally don't like users indulging in too colorful language such as the word "bulshitting" used by him. However, it seems that you used it before him so both of you need to chill. Use the "report post" button in the future.
But this chap posts pictures of bow and arrows on walls claiming them to be proof of existance of mounted horse archer columns. He believes it takes a lot of time to mount stirrups on horses, when its basic knowledge that stirrups are attched to saddles and mounted in a jiffy. Discussing with a person who doesnt know such basic facts, nor is interested in understanding them, and posts unrelated matter as evidence, is quite difficult. Anyways its a closed chapter now.

The report button is at the bottom right corner of every post. One with the Red exclamation mark.tsarkar wrote:Could you direct me to that part of the page where the report button is? Mods,
i am trying to access the BR Forum from outside of India. Night when i try to access the forum i am getting some SQL error message. It says the number of connection exceed 1040. The number could be different. I am getting this error quite frequently.
May be you can increase the number of simultaneous connections limit.
please tell me if you need a screen shot of the same.

Re: BR Forum Feedback
This has been answered before by BRAdmin Rahul in this series of posts started by vipins (post no 7 on the page) : http://forums.bharat-rakshak.com/viewto ... 3&p=826609vishnu.nv wrote:Mods,

Re: BR Forum Feedback
Motion is fine but when added with s in the end might conjure up different e motions altogether
Why for that matter we have Motion Picture Association of America
Movies root itself is motion
There used to be movies and then Talkies
Earlier there was no sound so movies
Then they had sound they became talkies
Talkies were understood as theaters
"It’s all in the head" says Gaylord could be totally misconstrued and I dread that.

Can the "Internal Security Watch" & "The Red Menance" thread be archived ? Thx
There is saying that we better know our internal enemy than the one from outside.

Re: BR Forum Feedback
^^ Sorry, it has to be "human sounding" enough. I am yet to meet a guy whom I'd call "hey arnb!". Of course we add a letter often, like RamaP, RamaT etc. and don't call people like that. But you know what I mean.

Vril, when you say you can't access does it time out on you? Possibly a DNS issue. Confirm if you're getting timed out.

Thanks.archan wrote: Users are urged not generalize your opinions to all Indian Muslims and Islam. It is not permitted on these forums and action will be taken against the offenders. Please use the proper term, Muslims and not ROPers. You'll be amazed that how many things you will find yourself uncomfortable posting here when you do that. It seems that "ROP" and "ROPers" has become a good excuse to take the sting out of some statements and make them sound less hateful than they are.
Re: BR Forum Feedback
In the "Good posts" dhaaga, can a link be included back to the original post and/or atleast the dhaaga name from which the post has been duplicated?
Sometimes I see posts there for which I want to reply, but am unable to find the original post (and dont want to reply in the "Good posts" dhaaga because I am yet unsure if my reply was a "Good post"
)

Can we create a football thread? There is interest in football on this forum, and the World Cup one has been sent to jannat.
