Aftershocks will continue for several days.
This is how you describe your help:

Aftershocks will number in the hundreds. May go on for a week. 6+ ought to be normal expectation. And that is the underlying plate movement is settled. Seismologists should be able to warn of these little ones, not sure if there are any warning systems/sirens.

International efforts to get search and rescue teams on the ground while there is still a chance of retrieving people alive from the rubble were gaining momentum on Sunday.
The US pledged $1m to the aid effort and said it would send a disaster response team, and Sri Lanka said it would contribute a plane with doctors, engineers and other supplies. Britain was sending a team of experts and a 68-strong search and rescue team from China was due to arrive later on Sunday.
India sent in military aircraft with medical equipment and relief teams. The Australian government pledged a $5m aid package.
99% of help will be from india. and this is how the dumb phuks will portray it.
Also, no image or video media from india proper anywhere.
Why isnt the media blurting warnings of aftershocks? Many more will come, prepare the ignoramuses who read/watch you.

Last I heard their rapid response teams were still preparing for departure from their Home bases in US, UK China Pakistan and Australia. The only other country from where Aid materials seems to have arrived today is Sri Lanka. This is right time and India should send its Army for assisting General civil administration.

Total number of shocks are already crossed 30 today for intensity 2.5+ as per USGS.
There are no public warning systems or sirens in Delhi. With tsunami, coastal warning systems are implemented in TN, PDY, AP , Odisha and Kerala.

^^^Expect several hundred if you are counting 2.5s. There will be dozens in the 6-7 range by the look of it.
Delhi used to have sirens. Implemented after numerous wars for air raid warnings, they could sound different ways for different things.
If they have disbanded those, its not hard to set up a few again. Indian siesmology is not primitive, they can do this.
Also, the western charities are filling their pockets for the next decade of budgets. The PMO fund will get not a single dime by the look of it.
I am disgusted enough by the media circus. For example, if anyone even mentions a list of hundred things India did, then the chinese AND baki drones routinely fill in the 4 baki planes and 62 chinese clowns to claim they are doing more than India.
If anyone asks for where to donate, not a single link to ANY indian charity. When it comes to actually wanting to get out --> point them in the direction of the indians. Bloody @@#$%%^&&*(* f4#$^&&ers ###$$4433323 Mot334545@$$%% ass223#$%%5%%ers.

There is shortage of heavy equipments like earth movers , JCBs and tents for temporary shelter. Food for survivors. By today most of the items would be reaching Nepal from India. Rescue efforts would bet more and more organised.
ABP News was reporting people of Nepal shouting slogan against NaMo for slow Indian response to Earth quake and lack of basic facilities and no food for 24 hours.
I mean seriously how stupid our MSM can be in their blind hate for Modi. Indian Army has always acte with swiftness when given order. But Govt has actually been acting with urgency not seen for decades in India and these reporters/News Channels blame Modi.

^^^ Two Indian Air Force Cargo planes from Hindon and Bhatinda after delivering Xx tons and Yy equipment are returning to Delhi with 52 and 200 passengers respectively. IAF squadron 22?, ??, and ?? from western and central air command are contributing their effort towards disaster response in Nepal. Operation maitri is being coordinated by Commadore whatshisname from location secret and has flown xyz sorties with pqr tonnes, saved lmn people, treated abcd people of 172 nationailites and blah blah.
Take the first 140 chars. Where possible name your people/units/command/force doing the job.
Whats the point of advertising for western manufacturers. The plane types are immaterial. As is the stupid followers are falling over each other to call them "worth their weight in gold", and doung everything short of building temples for the planes. There is nothing wrong with kathmandu airport. Air India, IndiGo, whatever will be doing exactly what IAF is doing right now.
ps -- there are literally 100s of trucks of that material going in. From UP to dera saccha saudda, everyone has flagged at least 21 trucks. Heavy equipment will be the limiting factor. And then it only gets to kathmandu. Rest of that country is ph-ducked. By the time there is a road, you would be doing archeology. And thats if there are no more 7 scale shakes.

As far as I can tell sachha sauda and sgpc have packed trucks -- so says twitter. whether they are off or not. I cant tell. No reason to think they wont ship. They have shipped food to everyone from the recent kashmir floods to whatever disaster. I take them at their word better than folks who will get money from you then go buy water.
indian rail is doing 100k rail neer without any such drive.
With SAR window open, you ask for feet on the ground. Not money to buy goods. And this was one example. There are literally 1000s of calls for money to different entities.

Heavy damage fro Pokhara, damage in Janakpur, many villages destroyed and help is yet to reach there.
wiped out entire villages in Bhaktalur, Rasua, Nuwakot, Dhading and Sindhupalchok districts.
Outside Kathmandu, many rescue crews had yet to reach the more isolated villages. Nepalese Finance Minister Ram Sharan Mahat said on Twitter that a night-vision helicopter had been deployed to Barpak in Gorkha district, thought to be near the epicenter. The reported number of dead in Gorkha had reached 47.
KS @KumarSimkhada
@KanakManiDixit Houses in my village in Gorkha are badly damaged. But no casualties. Similar story in several villages across the district.
6:17 PM - 25 Apr 2015
Update 23:24 UTC : Almost daylight in Nepal. We expect new numbers within a couple of hours. the outlook for ruaral villages in the epicenter area looks very grim as most roads are swept away on many locations. Only a lot of helicopters may do the job but Nepal has only a few of them.

^^ True. My pathetic argument was everybody and his uncle asking for money by bitcoin, SMS, aebsite, mobile, whatever.
The SGPC or saccha sauda or ramdev are all the same as UP governmand flagging its 21 trucks. If you dont have whats needed now, the money will go into your budget. Not for these people who needed relief yesterday.

The Napali village of Barpak, about 1000 houses and very close to the epicenter – government sources say almost completely destroyed (hard to see on this picture)
Update 22:25 UTC : An woman photographer, Shiva Rajvanshi, was in the epicenter area and made the following picture with her smartphone. A miracle she could send it as coverage was poor but seemingly still working. She also told in a separate message that : people are helpless, no food, houses are destroyed, many are hurt badly and some people died in front of us. Ground is still shaking every 15 to 30 minutes. This message was send many hours ago. Shiva was in the Barpak epicenter area.
