BradJi, funny alright, but only one problem is that TSP RAPE fantasize that everybody else thinks about them and how important they are. In reality, average joe six pack in US could care two hoots about this abomination, while in India, except for cowards, WKKs, and TSP cousins, and Bollywood perverts, vast majority don't have the time of the day for these terrorist scum bags.

Its a 4-minute video where a lady reporter confronts a 6-year-old girl's rapist. For the first time, I liked a Pakistani. Wondering what should would have done to Muhammed some 1400 years back.

Comment: Pakistani athletes impress at CW Games despite POA row
The four medals — three silver and a bronze — that Pakistan won at the 20th Glasgow Commonwealth Games despite the ugly on-going row between warring factions of Pakistan Olympic Association (POA) is a testimony that our athletes have abundant talent and only need government patronage to scale new heights.
Those who did Pakistan proud at the Glasgow Games are judoka Shah Hussain Shah, grappler Qamar Abbas (74kg freestyle wrestling), pugilist Mohammad Waseem (52kg) — silver — and grappler Azhar Hussain (57kg freestyle wrestling) — bronze.
To date, Pakistan has fetched 69 medals in Commonwealth Games — (24-24-21) including the Glasgow Games.

Hindu IDPs in N Waziristan Seek Relief Package
PESHAWAR: The members of Pakistan's Hindu community, who were displaced due to ongoing military operation in North Waziristan, today asked authorities to stop step motherly treatment towards them and provide them relief packages and other facilities given to other IDPs.

The demand was made by President of Hindu Minority Sabha Miran Shah Tariq Das while talking to newsmen at a relief camp in Bannu district.

Pitched battle in Lahore. Bhailog, please read the events below as they unfolded as if they are part of a C-grade Bollywood movie titled - "Jail ya Fail". Its more fun that way.

“The law will run its course and prison is Tahirul Qadri’s destiny.”
PAT chief Qadri asked those coming to participate in the event to carry copies of the Holy Quran
The government feared that religious sentiments would be exploited
hundreds of club-wielding PAT workers attempted to break through the police cordon
The police could not sustain the first assault and retreated
In Mianwali and Sargodha, policemen, including a DSP, were taken hostage by protesters
the workers got enraged when police misbehaved at barricades with women
Some people fainted
the ‘assailants’ in Lahore had been hired from far-flung areas of the province
Punjab government has decided to approach the Canadian government to get Mr Qadri’s citizenship cancelled for inciting violence in Pakistan

The old Arabian city of Yathrib, to which the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) migrated from Makkah, was later just referred to as "Madinah" - "The City". It was the first political capital of Islam, even before they captured the holy citadel of Makkah. In the Golden Age imagery of those times, and in the End Of Times imagery of Islam (which at that time was supposed to be round the corner, but has been slightly postponed for 1400 years now), Medina was the Ideal City on Earth, where Justice was perfect under God. Just after the Prophet's departure from this planet, at the height of that Golden Age, the Caliph Omar Farooq could be spotted walking down the main street of Medina intimidatingly, with a whip in hand.

There is a sort of Platonic socio-political ideal embedded in Islam, and that is the concept of the perfect City and its hinterland, viz., Madinah.

The attempted creation of an ideal Caliphate State like Madinah is also a harbinger of the Mahdi.

Thus, Pakistan was tooted as that Madinah, its brand new Capital City fleeing the heat, dust and crowds of short dark subhumans, trying hard to approach Khorasan if not the hallowed plateau of Arafat. Closer to the real Khorasan, Islamic Iran also tries to parade itself as such a Medinah ready and waiting to welcome the Mahdi, and Allah even takes note of minor points of duplicating Sunnah, such rows of life-size plastic datepalms adorning the medians of boulevards in Tehran as the snow melts in spring, in a sort of strange version of a Christmassy atmosphere as Nowruz approaches...

Thank you for the explanation. This is the Islamic version of Camelot. I suppose that the Indic version would be Ayodhya of Rama's time or Ujjaini of Vikramaditya's time.

Except that I suspect the Islamic version can never approach being a reality because in real life it is based on nomadic banditry and not a settled civilization. That could explain the divide between RAPE aspirations and their reality.

Wonder what the reality of fabled, pre-hulaku Baghdad was, did it approach the idyll or was it mostly a myth?

Well Abbasid Baghdad or Ottoman Turkey or Sultanate/Mughal Delhi/Lahore etc were all built on other civilizations. So in a Qabila sort of way, there was a setup that created certain limited opportunities, within certain parameters, and with the addition of being connected to a trans-national Islamic world and its mercantile networks.

The fact that certain communities from Dark Ages Europe found it attractive to migrate to Ottoman Turkey means there was something there. Same with all the migrations into North India.

Islamic Qabila tried to absorb civilized memes from all these other civilizations, but invariably did so in a reductionist way. So (after large scale destruction of previous knowledge resources) they were able to re-duplicate some of the artifacts of those civilizations, but could rarely ever reproduce the culture of knowledge production and investigation. The reins of the Shari'a wielding Ulema always made sure that never happened. This has recurred in modern day Pakistan, where the miscegenated Ashraf's strategic commingling with their British fourfathers failed to inseminate Lahori madrassahs with Oxford culture, and the Salman Taseers find themselves turned to fertilizer and the Pervez Hoodbhoys find themselves a cry in the wilderness...

But, mind you, the Xerox Khans will thrive...

There were notices on barricades next to Lahore High Court that Ahmadis arent welcome!! And apparently pious older mujs appear in college hostels, throw a Ahmadi book on the ground and ask the new nanha muj students to stamp on it, if they dont, they are marked for bull cutlet.

Meanwhile, Tahirul Qadri has called for his supporters to attain martyrdom :rotfl: this seems to be a pretty profitable gig, asking one's supporters to give up their life so that their leader can get power. Immy meanwhile wants to lead a million of his supporters to Isloo.

I think both Pakistan government and Imran khan should settle all their differences through talks. Talks are the only way. The dialog should be uninterrupted and uninterruptible and the right to self determination of Immy's supporters should be respected.

Acche din aaney waley hain. Freedom of belief
Religious freedom and protection of minority rights are now at the top of the Supreme Court’s agenda.
it is one of the key existential questions facing Pakistan
the right to belief has “three distinct rights, ie right to profess, right to practice and right to propagate”. Therefore, if all citizens, Muslims and non-Muslims, have an equal right to profess, practise and propagate their faith, then no citizen, including a Muslim, can have a superior right to convert others or impose his beliefs.
Now those are fighting words. This man is wajib-ul-cutlet.

Interest payments on debt rise by 14.5pc
KARACHI: An increase of 44 per cent in the domestic debt during the previous fiscal year could strain the economy as interest payments rose at a rate of 14.5pc.
It is believed that the final figure of entire FY14 will cross Rs1 trillion. The size of interest payments is expected to be more than 40pc of tax revenue. The debt servicing as a percentage of tax revenue in FY13 was 41.4pc. Pakistan’s Domestic Debt and Liabilities Increased from PK. RS. 9.7647 TRILLION in June 2013 to PK. RS. 11.1665 TRILLION in June 2014
Analysts in their reports put the law and order as one of the most import reasons for low economic growth while the energy crisis is another major hurdle in the way of economic progress.

Doctor, 57, struck off for massaging patient's breasts with oil when she went to see him about a whiplash injury
Dr Shahid Ayyoub told a 22-year-old she had a muscular problem
He then lifted up her shirt and groped her in West Point Practice, Leeds
Also grabbed her hair and forced her head into his groin in the locked room
Ayyoub was found guilty of two sexual assaults at Leeds Crown in January
He was sentenced to jail in January and has now been disbarred from practicing medicine in the UK.

Earlier report from when he was sentenced
He said that Ayyoub had shown no remorse and while he accepted it was an aberration in an otherwise unblemished career “it was not a momentary one”.

Judge Marson ordered him to sign the Sex offenders register for ten years and pay £2,275 in costs.

Mukhtar Hussain QC defending said that the conviction will have devastating consequences for Ayyoub as he now faces being struck off.

He added that Ayyoub came from a highly respectable family which included six other doctors and his two sons were currently studying medicine at university.

Ayyoub who qualified from the University of Punjab in Pakistan in 1984 ...

KLNMurthy, that is not apparent from the excerpt published. I could discern only two things. One was calling the bluff of the Pakistani propaganda that Jinnah did not want partition until the very end and it was the hard, hawkish stance of the INC in the talks with the Cabinet mission in 1946 that made him toughen the stance. It is very clear that as far back as 1942, Jinnah had very clear and unambiguous demand of a sovereign state of Pakistan completely independent of India and had conveyed this in no uncertain terms to Gandhiji.

The second thing that struck me was how all the predictions, that were pooh-poohed by Jinnah, have indeed come true.

Pakistani serials gain a foothold in India - Anita Joshua, The Hindu
The phenomenal viewership for the handful of Pakistani television serials that have been aired on Zee’s Zindagi channel since its launch on June 23 has cut across class and gender. From a grandmother watching it with her pre-teen granddaughter with the son catching one of the repeats and a colony beauty parlour running the channel through the day, the clientele is wide and hooked.

“The themes of these stories — which mainly focus on the problems of women — often remind one of the storylines of Hindi films of the 1960s and 70s. But it is the handling of the subjects, the refined language, which is a mix of Urdu and Punjabi but sounds so much like the language that was spoken in our households till about 30 years ago, that comes as a pleasant change,” says Aradhana Bhatnagar, who is in her seventies. “I am just glad that I get to see these serials with my granddaughter since it will help her pick up the language.”

Apart from the business gains and the footprint that Pakistani television industry has got in India, Zindagi has challenged some deep misconceptions Indians have about Pakistan.

Nawaz is getting freaked out that Immy is gaining a foothold in Pakjab. He wants no display of any strength of anyone else in Pakjab.

Practically speaking, Immy and Tahirul Qadri have nothing on their side. The elections were mostly fair, Immy does not have the street power to oust Nawaz. Badmash though is doing things in a ham handed fashion. The August 14 "march" is in fact a "drive" to Isloo. They have shut down fuel pumps and fuel movement so there is a massive fuel shortage in Pakjab (so the Massive "drive" cannot be done). Apparently the stockpiled busses and trucks have been impounded and the motorway might also be shut. Lets see what Immy does in face of this onslaught.

Popcorn time.

These people are salivating at the thought of a nuclear war between India and Pakistan
I thought that video is actually very good. Lots of people need to see it because it tells the truth about Pakistan AND speaks of India as Pakistan sees India. It does not tell lies about innocent Pakistan and say "India claims this, Pakistan claims that"

This video shows what I have been partly predicting and partly hoping. India has been at risk from Pakistani nukes from the 1980s. Nobody was bothered. But when jihad spreads to others - others too are at risk.

I am sure the US can use a small part of the 20 trillion dollars the man speaks of to set up sea water RO plants in Pakistan. That will keep Pakis quiet for some time. Then they will kick up something else that makes the west given them money.

Badmasha and ImDim are playing the classic game of power rules Kabila. Show your strength, march up with army like Caesar and then usurp the throne.
Badmash is overreacting because he doesn't want anyone to feel that IK carries even a whiff of power in Punjab while IK can not come to power thru ballot and hence these long marches and show of strength.
I am sure come 15th August and all will fizzile out with regular grab and smash and Gullu Bhat moments with army playing adjudicator.
Popcorn and beer moments are still far away in the womb of future.

Evil thought: What if India sends forces to protect Badmash and Pakjab from these marauding Foreigners from Afghan/Fata/NWFP and Canada.

Finally got the chance to watch all the C Fair's book launch related videos on youtube. I am definitely buying her book. Her monty-python analogy is very accurate.

My guess is though, that she will become a PNG even within the American establishment as she herself states in one of the shows with Haqqani.

The reason I say this is because of how American establishment is. Most of the politicians and bureaucracy have had some kind of military background - which means most of them are regimented into going along with what the establishment says. More importantly though, military background unconsciously forces American establishment to only respect people in uniform.

In fact C Fair inadvertently mentions this in her VOA interview. She says Indians are less likely to get involved in assymetric warfare with TSP by promoting insurgencies because their military is under the control of civilians and that civilians are "darpok".

Pakistan desires “peace with dignity”
For that, the perpetual jihad they wage against dignity must end.

SSridhar, maybe my words didn't communicate it very well, what with my dragging in Nehru-patel who were not mentioned in the review, but what you said is what I meant to say. Essentially the Ayesha Jalal thesis, popular among WKKs that Partition was an unanticipated fonsequence of a bluff by Jinnah(therefore, by implication, we could now construct a federation with pakistan) is debunked by this SDRE, apparently.

About predictions coming true, I think original intent, as stated in words by the visionaries and policymakers, is key to predicting outcomes.
