You don't need 30000 AK's for display. 1000 will do send the rest to ANA or NDS.

@svinayak: For that do we even need to cross the border for that, leave aside going to Iran. In fact most of their bases and their infrastructure are well within 300 Km of Indian border. With Brahmos-A initial softening can be safely conducted from well inside our borders; Brahmos can't be taken down by their Airdefence due to its supersonic nature.
While I welcome this idea of hitting from Iran but it will be more easy to take the Pakjabi area from our own airspace including PoK.

If you draw a line 150 km from the Indian border into shitistan, 90% of the targets are within reach. That is why the beggars were desperate to have Afghanistan as strategic depth

To the west of Indian border IS Pakjab. Heck, Lahore is within artillery/rocket range. All the major Baki cities (except Quetta) are less than 300km from our borders. This is a major reason for the Baki obsession with "strategic depth".

keeps the stupid pakis jittery. Fuels their fundamental insecurities about strategic depth and diverts their attention by spreading their forces thinly.

Even if not true, this "threat" is lodged very deeply up their jehadi r@ctum$, causing them to doubt their "islamic" buddies.

This is a 360 degree ambush on the Pakjabi area. Our airspace approach may be seen escalatory initially and solution may need other options.

The next target is the tibet plateau across POK and India needs all the directions to attack the area.

Tibet is across the border from India/Nepal. To get to Tibet, we need to go EAST/NORTH EAST from Ladakh or NORTH of Uttarakhand/Nepal/Sikkim/Arunachal. In fact the areas of Tibet of greatest interest to us, lie within a relatively narrow belt along our Northern border. Why would we need to traverse PoK for this?

Unless you meant Xinjiang. In that case Tajikistan/Afghan bases would be of some help, but logistics would be a nightmare unless we can fully and firmly secure PoK under our control.

Govt decides to deport US blacklisted spy: sources
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan on Tuesday issued order to deport United States spy Matthew Barret, who was arrested on suspicion of spying and was blacklisted from Pakistan few years back, ARY News reported.

Sources confirmed that the interior ministry had issued order to deport Barret from Pakistan. He will go back to his country safely after a few days.

Few years back, the US spy tried to enter a sensitive area on which he was deported. However, he managed to get Pakistani visa few weeks ago and reached Pakistan. He was arrested at Islamabad airport.

Sources said the government was under pressure to release the spy which led the interior ministry to order release of the US spy.

A few days before reports were received that the government was mulling to free Barret, however it has finally been decided to release him. :rotfl:

Met a commando in a mil hospital who recovering from a bullet wound. He told me that many units preferred to use these captured weapons and that the IA was quite OK with that.

The answer may lie somewhere in between.

In Pakistan, the land of the pure, the Supreme Court always bows to those in the military who are more Islamic, more TFTA.

According to International Commission of Jurists..
Since January 2015, when Pakistan empowered military courts to try civilians for terrorism-related offences, 11 military courts have been constituted to hear cases related to terrorism.

These 11 military courts have thus far concluded the trials of 105 people, finding the defendants guilty in 81 cases. Seventy-seven people have been sentenced to death and four have been given life sentences. At least 12 people have been hanged after trials that are grossly unfair.
The ICJ reminds that in August last year, the Supreme Court upheld the legality of the trial of civilians before military courts in contravention of long-established principles of international law and the Court’s own jurisprudence.

AFAIK, 90 LMGs figure is missing atleast 1 zero. Should be in thousands, not hundreds

From the Article :
SRINAGAR/NEW DELHI, Aug 17 (Reuters) - India is ready to send its top diplomat to Pakistan for talks focused on fighting cross-border terrorism, sources at India’s foreign ministry said on Wednesday, after a spike in tension in the disputed northernmost region of Kashmir.

Indian Foreign Secretary Subrahmanyam Jaishankar was willing to attend talks on the invitation of his Pakistani counterpart, the sources said, stressing that cross-border terrorism was central to the situation in Jammu and Kashmir state.

X Posted from the “Baluchistan: The Story of Another Pakistan Military Genocide” thread.

The Hindu’s reportage on Bangladesh’s Minister of Information, Hasanul Haque Inu , conveying support for our Prime Minister Modi pointing out atrocities committed by the Islamic Republic of Pakistan targeting fellow Mohammaddens in Balochistan:

Bangladesh backs Modi on Balochistan
…………… Speaking to The Hindu, Hasanul Haque Inu , the visiting Minister of Information in the Sheikh Hasina government, said Balochistan was facing the brunt of Pakistan’s military establishment, which “targeted” the Bengalis in East Pakistan in 1971 before the creation of Bangladesh.

“Pakistan has a very bad track record as far as addressing aspiration of nationalities is concerned. They learnt nothing from the defeat of 1971 and continued to practise the same policy of repression and are now targeting the Baloch nationalists,” Mr. Inu said.

“Bangladesh is constitutionally bound to support liberation struggles and we will soon declare an official policy on Balochistan,” he added. ……………..
For good measure Bangladesh’s Minister of Information, Hasanul Haque Inu , also accused the Islamic Republic of Pakistan of exporting Mohammadden Terror:

“Pakistan exports terror and Pakistan needs to be confronted about the futility of its policies that it has refused to change till now,”

Rice exports: Pakistan loses market to India

Some quotes from that article -
Pakistan Research Institutes have failed to develop a single seed during last two decades contrary to India where a lot of new seeds have developed
Zahid Hussain expressed concern over the future of the country's rice exports as some major markets have been lost while some others are under threat. Pakistan has missed annual rice export targets for five years necessitating government intervention before it is too late as 3.86 million metric tonnes of rice was exported in 2016 compared to 4.26 million metric tonnes on the corresponding period of the year before, he said.
He said that government has neither incentivized rice exporters directly nor intervened/procured rice, however gifted about 0.6 million tonnes to China (???) which helped recovery from gloomy market with respect to prices.

Afghanistan sides with India, backs Modi remarks on Pakistan
KABUL: Making common cause with India, Afghanistan has backed Narendra Modi’s recent comments slamming those who “glorify” terrorism, adding that some in the region are using terrorists as “strategic tools”.

In an exclusive interaction with the ‘Asian Age’ newspaper, Afghan Ambassador in New Delhi Shaida Mohammad Abdali made it clear that Taliban terrorists have found sanctuary in Pakistan and said the Pakistan government should drive them out if they do not agree to participate in the peace process.

Not naming any country but leaving no one in doubt as to which he was referring to, the Afghan envoy said, “We should call terrorists as terrorists. ... We in this region, some, look at terrorists as strategic tools. That is the problem. The crux of the matter is the use of terrorism under various names but in reality it is the State that is engineering against other neighbours ... we hope terrorism is not glorified as Prime Minister Modi mentioned in his Independence Day speech. He said that some terrorists are glorified. I fully agree.”

Sunni Terrorist Fragments of Unstable Pakistan-13 June,2016

1. Gwadar 2016
Gwadar as a trans-shipment port to China makes no economic sense. Truck cargoes from Gwadar to China travelling for 7,000 km to 8,000 km make no economic sense. Oil to China through Gwadar makes no economic sense. Similarly, Chinese products traveling for 7,000 km to 8,000 km all the way to Gwadar make no economic sense. Perhaps, it is all strategic – and our future depends on the strategic choice we make today.
2. Why Gwadar?
Port of Karachi: the port is a “deep natural port with an 11.5 km long navigable channel and a 12.2 meter deep approach channel.” According to the Karachi Port Trust (KPT), “Presently about 1,600 ships are visiting Karachi Port annually and the berth occupancy is about 45 percent, which shows that there is enough capacity in the port to handle more cargo.” Why Gwadar? Why not use Karachi where the entire infrastructure is already in place?

Port Qasim: the port is a “deep-water seaport in Karachi on the coastline of the Arabian Sea.” On January 15, 2016, the berth occupancy stood at 55 percent. On July 11, 2016, the berth occupancy was recorded at 40 percent. Why Gwadar? Why not Port Qasim where the entire infrastructure is already in place?
3. Defence budget
Myth: The Pakistan Army consumes almost the entire defence budget.

Fact: In the 1970s, Pak Army’s budget as a percentage of the entire defence budget had hit a high of 83.4 percent. Since the 1980s, Pak Army’s budget as a percentage of the defence budget has hovered around 47 percent. In 2016-17, Pak Army’s share stands at 48 percent of the entire allocation for defence; Pakistan Air Force has 21 percent, Pakistan Navy has 11 percent and defence production stands with 20 percent.

Myth: A large percentage of the defence budget is discretionary in nature.

Fact: Of the Rs860 billion, 63 percent comprises salaries, 18 percent is ration and petrol, 10 percent is gas and electricity with the remaining 9 percent going towards uniforms.
WITH THE ABOVE iTEMS ADDING UPTO 100 PERCENT By the Grace of the Almighty Pensions, Hospitals, Schools, Training Academies, Hospital, Arms, Tanks, Guns, Armed Personnel Carriers, Recreation & Welfare Facilities etc. etc. etc. including costs to maintain the whole Terrorism Structure is paid by "Manna from Heaven" and therefore considered FREE. AOA!
