Slovakian Prime Minister Robert Fico launched a scathing attack on European leaders, accusing the EU of hypocrisy and weakness as US-led peace talks with Russia unfolded in Saudi Arabia—without European or Ukrainian representation.
Speaking in Bratislava, Fico condemned the EU for allegedly fueling the Ukraine war while now attempting to present itself as a peacemaker.
He criticized Brussels' strategy as cynical and short-sighted, arguing that peace talks began when Ukraine was at its weakest.
As US President Donald Trump pushed ahead with negotiations, Secretary of State Marco Rubio emphasized Trump's pivotal role, stating he is "the only leader who can bring peace to Ukraine."
Fico’s remarks underscored Europe's diplomatic irrelevance and highlighted a growing power shift as Washington and Moscow seized control of the peace process, leaving Europe sidelined.
The comments came as Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed Kyiv had not been invited to Riyadh, further fueling EU frustrations over being excluded from critical negotiations.
“The threat that I worry most about vis-a-vis Europe,” Vance said instead, “is not Russia, not China, it’s not any other external actor. What I worry about is the threat from within.” Europe, he argued, has retreated from its most fundamental values by repressing conservative speech and political actors. European leaders had grown fearful of their own people. Citing the attack by an Afghan national on a crowd just outside the security perimeter, he said that Europe was reaping the fruits of uncontrolled mass migration. And less than two weeks before German elections, he called on mainstream parties to abandon the “firewall” they imposed to keep the far-right Alternative for Germany out of power. He said virtually nothing about Ukraine, Russia, China, or the Middle East.
This was not the speech Europeans — or even many Americans — expected, and it dominated the subsequent proceedings. Europeans resented the interference in their domestic affairs and some reacted harshly. A top European intelligence official, next to me throughout the remarks, repeatedly muttered epithets.
German political leaders reacted particularly harshly. “It is clear,” President Frank-Walter Steinmeier said, “that the new American administration holds a worldview that is very different from our own, one that shows no regard for established rules, for partnerships that have grown over a long time and for the trust that has been built over time.” Defense Minister Boris Pistorius observed that Vance “is comparing parts of Europe with authoritarian regimes. This is not acceptable.” Chancellor Olaf Scholz said, “a commitment to ‘never again’ is therefore incompatible with support for [Alternative for Germany].”
This year’s Munich Security Conference was a barn burner, on par with 2007, when Putin delivered an infamous rejectionist speech, or even one at the height of the Iraq war when the United States, France, and Germany were at daggers drawn. More than anything, the proceedings this time suggest that we are entering a new geopolitical era, one with huge stakes and low predictability.

German election results are out.
As usual, CDU, dominant since 1949, has won.
Actually, Germany is an electoral autocracy. Let me explain what Dhruv Rathee has not told you.
Most likely, CDU will ally with SPD, which has been its main opposition for 70 years, and form govt.
Don't be surprised. Actually, Germany doesn't even have an opposition.
Technically CDU and SPD are the two main rivals, but they keep allying and forming govt. In fact, 3 out of Angela Merkel's 4 terms in office were coalitions of CDU & SPD!
Imagine if India had BJP Cong alliance govts for decades!
Before every election, CDU & SPD pretend to be rivals. The night of the election results, they form alliance and start ruling together.
So why does some new party not come and disrupt this scam of CDU & SPD?
Because the 2 ruling parties have made the rule that a party needs at least 5% vote to get even 1 seat in the House. If you get 4.9% vote, you will get ZERO seats.
Can you imagine how hard that is? In India, only BJP & Cong get more than 5% votes!
So Germany has two ruling parties which pretend to be rivals, and the system is rigged so no new party can emerge.
Can one of the big parties split? If a big party splits, the vote share of the faction will fall below 5%, and it will be down to 0 seats!
So you can't form new parties, you can't split existing parties, and the two big parties are actually in alliance!
This is mafia, not democracy.
And you would be surprised at the laws in Germany. Since AfD became a challenge, German govt ordered ban on its funds, even sent the spy agency to tap their phones. Mind you, this is not secret. This is open, and fully legal.
Even beyond this, the system has one final line of defense.
Nobody even knows how the votes convert into seats. There are some formulas, such as "Hare-Niemeyer method" or "Sainte Lague-Schepers method." The govt keeps changing the method every 5-6 years depending on whatever is convenient.
In fact, nobody even knows how many seats there are in Parliament. There are other formulas to add or subtract "overhang seats" or "leveling seats."
This is changed constantly, as per convenience of the ruling govt to keep any rival out!
Is this democracy or a joke?
But nobody will call Germany an "electoral autocracy."
Every activist in the world is busy criticizing Indian democracy.
Germany’s far-right Alternative for Germany (AfD) leader Alice Weidel is a striking contrast to the party she represents.
A gay woman raising two sons with her Sri Lankan-born partner, she leads a party that opposes same-sex marriage and champions 'traditional family values'.
Despite her personal life clashing with the party’s conservative ideals, Weidel has avoided focusing on her identity. She has dismissed same-sex marriage as unimportant and refuses to label herself as queer. She claims that the AfD is the only party willing to address hostility towards gay people from Muslim immigrants.
Weidel’s family history has come under scrutiny. Her grandfather, Hans Weidel, was a Nazi judge appointed by Adolf Hitler, something she says she only discovered through researchers, German newspaper Die Welt reported.
"A free trade agreement b/w EU & India would be largest deal of this kind anywhere in World"
Entire EU is in Bharat to beg for Trade & Strategic Partnership! But can it be trusted?
A brief look at EU's Real Face!
1. Passed resolution in 2023 condemning Manipur vi0£ence & blaming it on BJP's "Nationalist Stand" & demanded AFSPA to help Separatist Elements.
2. Claimed "violence, discrimination & divisive policies" in Jan 2024, but not a word on France's burqa ban & Germany's mo$que surveillance.
3. Criticized FCRA & UAPA – Laws that curb foreign-funded NGOs meddling in Bharat's Internal Affairs by inciting Protests, Vi0£ence & Conversion Activities.
4. Backed BBC & USAID Funded Anti-Bharat narratives.
5. Funded & Sheltered Kh@£istanis.
6. Interfered in Bharat's Election raising questions on Authenticity of Democracy after arrest of Kejriwal.
7. Attacked Bharat for use of coal under Fake Environmentalism but never objected to Germany restarting coal plants due to an energy crisis.
8. Funded Media hit jobs on PM .@narendramodi Ji.
Today this EU is kicked in A$$ by Trump with 25% Tarrif & so it wants to cozy up to Bharat for business.
Today, EU needs Bharat's economy & trade and....I'm very sure that #Modi Sarkar will exploit the situation to our own advantage the most.
Afterall, no-one can beat a Gujju in Business.
Modi was probably biding his time.. lol\\kid you not., man knows when and what is likely to happen, there is always a plan for everythingchetak wrote: ↑01 Mar 2025 20:52 India should go for bilateral agreements and not some EU wide woke FTA which will come with leftist conditionalities
Remember: 3 years ago the same Europeans were flying into Delhi furiously condemning India’s neutral position on Russia-Ukraine.
Now with US President Trump restoring ties with Russian President Putin, the same Europeans are coming en masse to woo India as a biz & tech partner

Yes the Eurotards are making a beeline to India because they are hit by reciprocal tariffs on their goods by the US. Who better than India to make their stuff and export to the US under their brand labels. All euro cars are expensive due to Euro labor costs. Getting a majority of the components made in india will help ease the pain. FTA with India makes sense. Our import pasand chaps can enjoy French wine & cheese right here in India instead of jet setting to Euroland. The swiss (bank and vista) tourist crowd will see more India made goods, those Kangress/DMK/Commy chaps with huge videshi bank balances will feel cheated. All in all a great win win situation. Euroland is turning right wing again and the existing jihadi crowd in euro will be banished soon.
Do not have much to add to this other than...since UK's out of EU now, an FTA with UK will have extra dimensions to it beyond those of EU..... security of Indian embassies from Khalistani and other militant outfits, extradition of criminals provided a safe haven by His (and formerly Her) Majesty's government, and many others. The list is long. They should have signed the FTA when they had the opportunity under Rishi Sunak. Things are different now. Let them make their sub and find the money for it. More power to them.drnayar wrote: ↑02 Mar 2025 00:34 FT reporting the new British nuclear attack subs would cost appxly 40% of their annual defence budget !! .. if they spend more [ right now cutting foreign "aid" enabled them to go from 2.25 to 2.5% spending on defence !! ] , not sure where those monies will come from , most likely from welfare /NHS !! .. and they need monies for ukreen ..![]()

But does a spent power need to spend on nuclear attack subs? Here are some ideas for the United Cuckdom:
- They can become the 52nd state of the US
- Have the OIC fund them as the UC will be the protectors of the ummah.
- Get rid of subsidizing those useless monarchs, lords, barrons etc.
- Stop sending 'foreign aid' to countries like India.
- Use your history of thuggery to sell off the loot from other countries. Just heard that BoE sold off the gold of other countries.

My take is that the disintegration of EU has started with this move by DE.The AfD and the Left Party have tried to stop the old Bundestag vote but failed in their appeals before the Federal Constitutional Court.
Far-reaching financial consequences
Economists warn of serious consequences on the financial markets if Germany were to incur almost €1 trillion in new debt. Lars Feld, professor at the Walter Eucken Institute in Freiburg, expects Germany's national debt to increase from its current level of around 62% to 90% of annual economic output over the next ten years.
This would result in an additional interest expenditure of between €250 and €400 billion, depending on the development of the interest rate for state bonds, Feld said at a budget committee hearing in the Bundestag. The international bond markets had already become nervous.
Veronika Grimm, Professor at the Technical University of Nuremberg, sees a "challenge for stability in Europe," as she put it in front of the Budget Committee. If interest rates for German government bonds rise, this will cause interest rates for already highly indebted countries such as Italy and Spain to rise to levels these countries can hardly manage.
Grimm warned that this would once again increase "vulnerability in the eurozone."
