Protestors have broken into the downtown Atlanta DHS Federal building and attempting to set it on fire.

Today, American Principles Project and SPRY Strategies released polling results from ten battleground states: Arizona, Georgia, Iowa, Kentucky, Michigan, Montana, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Texas, and Wisconsin. The states were selected due to their expected competitiveness this November in either the presidential race, a U.S. Senate race, or both.

Terry Schilling, executive director at American Principles Project, released the following statement about the polling results :

It is clear from our polling that the reports of President Trump’s impending electoral doom are greatly exaggerated. While the Trump campaign still has much work to do in defining Joe Biden as a feckless enabler of the worst elements of the radical left, the fundamentals of this race are encouraging. While Trump currently trails in some battlegrounds, he also leads in several states where many political pundits have already written him off.

On hot-button issues, the survey results were also very interesting. Black Lives Matter is very popular, until voters learn what Black Lives Matter actually supports — then it becomes very unpopular. Voters hate the idea of biological males competing against female athletes in women’s sports. They strongly oppose minors being subjected to sex changes or gender conversion therapy. They want to protect kids from online *****, and they want Big Tech companies to allow free speech and free expression on their platforms.

Politicians on both sides of the aisle would be wise to heed these results, as these issues are likely to play a big role in the fall campaign.

The Trump administration has been looking to bolster the ability to produce drugs and their raw materials in the United States after the COVID-19 pandemic exposed the industry’s dependence on China and India for its supply chain.

(Reuters) - The investment chief of CalPERS, Yu Ben Meng, has resigned effective immediately, the largest public U.S. pension fund said on Wednesday, amid pressure from the Trump administration to curb investments in China.
Dan Bienvenue, deputy chief investment officer at the California Public Employees' Retirement System (CalPERS), will become interim chief investment officer, the $400 billion fund said in a statement, adding it will begin an immediate search for a permanent successor.
A U.S. citizen born in China, Meng has twice worked for CalPERS, the first time starting in 2008 and the second time beginning in January 2019 when he became CIO, according to the CalPERS website.
In between the CalPERS stints, Meng worked for three years as deputy CIO with China’s State Administration of Foreign Exchange (SAFE), which oversees China’s U.S. Treasury security holdings. Meng cited the need to focus on health and family in the statement, released late on Wednesday. But the resignation comes amid growing pressure on U.S. funds to divest from Chinese companies. Last month, White House Officials pressed the U.S. Railroad Retirement Board, the federally administered retirement plan for railroad workers, to avoid investments in Chinese companies, which may be hit with sanctions.

A number of Reddit accounts were compromised Friday afternoon, which led to a number of subreddits being overtaken by pro-Trump signage.

A Reddit spokesperson told Business Insider in an email that "an investigation is underway related to a series of vandalized communities. It appears the source of the attacks were compromised moderator accounts. We are working to lock down those accounts and restore impacted communities."

Retired U.S. Army Colonel Douglas MacGregor, a frequent guest on Fox News and other conservative talk shows, has a history of racist and xenophobic comments that has prompted Jewish groups to voice their concern about the possibility that he will become the United States’ ambassador to Germany.

The White House announced MacGregors nomination last week, touting his media appearances and influence, not just with the U.S. army, but the IDF as well, as qualifications.

“He is a frequent radio and television commentator on national security affairs and his writings on military affairs have been influential in the transformation of United States ground forces, NATO, and the Israeli Defense Force,” said the press release.

In those appearances however, MacGregor has repeatedly disparaged Muslims, immigrants and asylum seekers among other groups.

“They’re coming to benefit, to consume and to establish themselves, inside other people’s countries with the goal of eventually turning Europe into an Islamic state,” MacGregor said about immigration to Europe from Muslim-majority countries, in a 2016 appearance on the Michael Ostrolenk Show.

In a 2018, appearance on radio show called Conservative Commando he referred to Germany’s refugee population as “millions of unwanted Muslim invaders.”

If confirmed by the Senate, he would represent the U.S. to a country whose population includes nearly 5 million Muslims.
