Ordinarily one doesn’t care what this nobody thinks. But he is a historian of some repute, so it’s surprising to see this comment:
he said Rochdale grooming gangs of Indian descent “were acting within their own cultural norms”. He told The Spectator this week: “I merely pointed out the gangs involved were operating in accordance with the values of the Punjab.”
Either this is a deliberate attempt to rewrite history in an attempt to cover up the peaceful Pakistani gangs or he is utterly ignorant

Aditya ji,
This is certainly more in tune with the racist, bigoted, neo-nazi, and colonial imperialist david starkey's antiquated and perverted idea of "this is really fully grounded in our culture".
the acrid odour of burning nether hair has pushed this senile xenophobic crackpot over the edge.
he fears for his miserable life in naming the abrahamics who sullied the lives of thousands of his innocent and young feminine coreligionists of the same ethnicity and nationality
It is not the first time that the historian, who rose to prominence in the 2000s for his work on Tudor politics, has been embroiled in controversy over allegations of racism.
In 2020, he was forced to resign from his academic positions at Cambridge and Canterbury Christ Church universities after he made comments about slavery in which he referred to “damn blacks”.
He had argued in a podcast interview that slavery could not be considered genocide because “otherwise there wouldn't be so many damn blacks in Africa or in Britain”.
Dr Starkey went on to apologise for his “bad mistake” but insisted freedom of speech should not exclude conversations around race.

India to demand hoard of treasures including Koh-i-Noor in colonial 'reckoning' for Britain
Narendra Modi targets crown jewels and museum artefacts in repatriation campaign that dwarfs Greece's attempt to reclaim Elgin marbles
There are other articles stating that India is going to ally with Greece (Elgin Marbles) to campaign for the return of looted treasures. This is part of the disinformation campaign by the UK Gov. India has to link the trade deal to the return of the looted treasures. There was an article on ,I think, the BBC listing some of them; the Kohl-i-Noor, a statue of Lord Harihara, a bronze of a Hindu god dancing - the list is long.
Just about every former colony has a just case for the return of their artifacts that were looted.
On the Leicester riots, I have friends there, mostly Goan Christians originally from Kenya. They all tell me that the trouble was started by Islamist agitators (Majid Freeman being one). The first person arrested and charged was a Goan Christian youth who supported his Hindu cousins.

^ Time is of the essence. Only power commands respect. As India awakens are restores itself, you will not have to ask for these treasures, they will be returned of their own account.
Time is of the essence.

Twitter user who published image of severed head sentenced to five and a half years in prison
"Shahpal tweeted a picture of Samuel Paty's severed head with the comment: "Remove the head from the body, remove the head from the body.""
Imagine the day such a phrase has similar consequences in India.

Just seen the movie The Kerala Story at the cinema in the UK. It is an excellent film that probes what happens when women marry ISIS fighters. Not seen any films like this. To call it a propaganda film is complete nonsense and is itself false propaganda. It could have been a Muslim or non-Muslim woman who married these ISIS fighters. The treatment they get is the same - promised Paradise and when they get to Syria, they are raped, have all their freedoms and passports removed, are trapped and regret it (unless they are heavily radicalised like Shamima Begum and willingly take up ISIS militant roles). The film is entirely about the dangers that ISIS poses to everyone. It happens to focus on two Hindus and one Christian girl in India who get groomed and radicalised to convert to an extreme Islamist ideology. It shows how this is done which is important. It is a film, not a documentary, so is inspired by what happened to three girls in Kerala - not claiming to state their exact stories. I hope some journalists in Kerala have gone to interview the families of these girls. Also hope the police are now trying to arrest the men who radicalised these women. One of them is still in Kerala apparently running a pizza parlour. I had no clue that even one Hindu girl had gone to join ISIS from India. One alone is shocking. It is good the film showcases the truth of what happens when people do join such terror outfits and get radicalised. What is propaganda is not this film, but the methods ISIS use to radicalise people, which the film exposes. Good the BBFC released it in the UK and correct to give it an 18 rating as it is very violent.

https://sundayguardianlive.com/top-five ... commission Two months on, UK still not probing attack on Indian High Commission
Abhinandan Mishra, May 21, 2023
NEW DELHI: The British government is yet to locate and bring charges against the people or organisations responsible for the 19 March assault on the Indian High Commission in London, despite more than two months having passed.
Around 50 individuals, chanting pro-Khalistan slogans, had entered the high commission building and pulled down the Indian Tricolour. They fled only after the police reached the spot at 1.50 p.m. local time, but not before the extremists had broken glass and other building structures.
Within days of the attack, the Indian agencies had informed the British government of at least seven individuals who were part of the attack. The individuals who were identified by the Indian agencies were Avtar Singh Khanda, Gurcharan Singh, Jasvir Singh, Harjeet Singh, Manroop Singh, Mandeep Singh and Rajinder Singh.
Of these seven, the first three are well-known Khalistani activists. Avtar’s and Gurcharan’s links with Pakistan’s intelligence agency, Inter-Service Intelligence (ISI), are well documented by Indian agencies.
On 21 March, a few Indian news channels wrongly reported that Khanda had been arrested by London police. This was denied by Khanda himself, who on 24 March released a video in which he was seen giving a statement while roaming free. According to sources, the London police had detained one individual for “violent disorder” post the attack, but was freed the same day.
On 14 April, The Sunday Guardian had reached out to UK officials, including the London Metropolitan Police, seeking details of the action taken, if any, against the perpetrators involved in the High Commission attack. The request was turned into a Freedom of Information request (similar to Right to Information request), under which the sought information was to be provided within 20 days. Later, the deadline was extended by another 20 days. However, the London police is unlikely to share this information citing exemptions under the relevant UK law.
Officials in the counter-terror departments in New Delhi said that it was hard to believe that the UK police, which has all the modern tools of tracking and identifying criminals, was unable to find and arrest those who had attacked the high commission, while stating that the perception that the British government agencies were deliberately not arresting them was getting stronger.
As a response to this incident, the Rishi Sunak government has posted two security guards outside the Indian high commission building. This arrangement will be reviewed every quarter, based on the threat perception. Providing security guards outside embassies, unlike in India, is not a general practice in the UK.

If Dominion Voting Systems can sue Fox News and even force Fox to hand over internal communications to them, then likewise it's entirely justifiable for BBC to similarly be sued and also required to hand over their internal communications for scrutiny. When Hindu temples in UK, Australia and Canada were subsequently vandalized and defaced with spraypainted slogans of "BBC Modi" then they too should join in the suit against BBC's hateful propaganda.

Hmmm... all the emotions and outrage aside, we need to see if there are demonstrably false statements made in the documentary. I only saw few snippets of it and I suspect the docu will be full of selective facts and veiled insinuations which might be difficult to pin down as defamatory, especially given the usual latitude in the name of "freedom of press". But we have very active judges who go beyond the call of duty, so lets see what BBC defends with and what verdict comes.

BBC will say that they are not an Indian organisation. Therefore, are not subject to Indian laws.
This is a position someone had taken very recently on a related topic.

They aired it in India on cable or via the internet, automatically subjecting them to the law of the land. No? They can get shutdown and blocked in India, and lose their reach into 1/6th of the globe in an instant. That's already punishment enough. We can issue arrest warrants upon guilty verdict and put India staffers in jail and UK staffers on lookout notice etc etc ... There is also the FRCA probe going on.

Moment Muslim activists storm Birmingham cinema screening of Bollywood film 'The Kerala Story' that has sparked violent clashes in India over claims it 'destroys religious harmony' and is Islamophobic
In the latest round of weaponising media, BBC has taken a significant step forward by launching a division called BBC Verify, all with its dedicated set of reporters, resources and a studio as well.
Essentially this is trying to set itself as an arbitrator or truth. Basically it will be the judge and jury and self proclaimed holder of Truth.
Expect a lot articles from this group , no doubt targeting India and BJP now that 2024 is fast approaching.

I watched it in London without incident. Some goras too in the theatre. Brum is increasingly becoming a M cesspool . Not sure if anything was snipped out of the movie ? Definitely wasn’t jingoistic or propaganda, some gasps from the audience in some scenes. Generally Indian public needs some hard hitting realism away from the Bolly crap, specifically when the MSM is quiet as well …

The film is showing in several cinemas near me but unfortunately in Tamil and Hindi. It is not stated if there are English subtitles. You mention that there were a few white people present, so I am asking about Subtitles. I don't speak any Indian languages well enough to follow without subtitles.
