Pakistan set to receive first-ever US oil shipment: Report
https://www.indiatoday.in/world/story/p ... 2025-08-01

Two things struck me as curious.
"This is a test spot cargo under our umbrella term agreement with Vitol. If it is commercially viable and available, we could import at least one cargo per month," Qureshi said as per Reuters. He clarified that the shipment was intended for domestic use only and not for resale.
Despite running at just 30-35% of its refining capacity due to weak domestic demand, Cnergyico is optimistic. "We expect run rates to rise as domestic demand strengthens and local production is prioritised over imported fuels," Qureshi said.

What is Pakistan paying for this oil shipment with?

Crypto, directly into the account of Trump-owned WLF? :D

One thing to keep in mind. Crypto transactions are invariably entered into blockchain ledgers, of which multiple copies exist and all are tamper proof. One day when the power shifts in the USA, all of these will be subpoenaed and exposed.

So it's probably not as clever a way to launder money or hide wealth as some stable geniuses think.

Its not tamper proof. It is easier to tamper with than normal records as long as you have more than 50% of the nodes.

I wish and pray huge quantities of oil are discovered in Pakistan. Remember what Saddam Hussein said to the then Foreign minister during the first gulf war, “India is lucky as you don’t have oil”. Think.

X posting here, as I don't think we have an Afghan thread. In any case Taliban is as much Terroristan as our neighbor.

Henry Kissinger said `It may be dangerous to be America's enemy, but to be America's friend, is fatal. To understand what being America's friend meant to Afghans, an Afghan army officer shared his story for my blog. A story on fighting the Taliban and how America abandoned them, to the heart wrenching time he was abandoned, as Kabul fell.
My article also features a first person account from a student in Kabul, on life under the Taliban.

Pakistan’s leading exploration and production firm, Oil & Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL), on Friday announced an oil discovery in an exploration license in the southeastern province of Sindh.

OGDCL, the operator of the Tando Allah Yar (TAY) exploration license, found oil at exploratory well Chakar–1, where tests showed that the well flowed 275 barrels of oil per day.

Looks like protests are taking hold in PoJK, CPEC, Gilgit Baltistan, Karokorum highway. All kinds of folks are protesting including Cheeni folks infiltrated in those areas. They are asking for tax exemption for the truck movement with goods. These protests started after Ass Iam Munure sat in the lap of the US. Trucks are blocked and there are perishable stuff sitting for days. BTW the courts have banned protests, what?

Aadhi Achint explains:

Chinese Protest Pakistanis in POJK, CPEC - Is it USA Effect Begins? | Aadi Achint
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i4viTsN68dw

// time for R&AW and India to take advantage of this ruckus. There is clearly a tussle between US and China in this area. The natives are also getting restive and demanding their cut in commerce. Social unrest is straight from the "Color Revolution" book. China has invested big time in the roads and tunnels in the area. Their entire Xinjiang strategy is based on CPEC going through Munna Pak.

Pervez Hoodbhoy goes into a rant on Yawn.
Why Trump hates Harvard
but the subtitle is:
Just one word tells why there cannot be a Pakistani Harvard now, or in the foreseeable future.

First the rant: After American universities became the envy of the world,
And then came a felon, convicted under American law, currently president of the United States, who decided his country must be shot in the foot to Make America Great Again (MAGA). Behind him stand millions of Bible Belters, pot-bellied Budweiser-drinking football watchers, and assorted white American losers who blame Mexicans, Muslims, and black ‘welfare mothers’ for their long downward slide.

In 2024, J.D. Vance, now vice president, declared “Professors are the enemy”, adding, “We have to honestly and aggressively attack the universities in this country”.

MAGA’s White House crew forbade universities from discussing equity, diversity, race, affirmative action, climate change, vaccine efficacy, wildlife protection or anything considered ‘woke’. Criticism of Israel is tantamount to antisemitism, now punishable under the law. Should you see images of starving Gaza children being shot in the face by the IDF, you may not mutter “genocide”.

A vengeful throng is sadistically savouring the dismantling of the hated Eastern ‘liberal establishment’. Three-quarters (75 per cent) of US scientists are considering leaving the country, according to a March 2025 survey conducted by the prestigious science journal Nature.

Once-proud Columbia University has eaten humble pie, agreeing to pay $220 million dollars in damages to the US government plus $21m to Jewish employees who “were unlawfully targeted and harassed”. Pro-Palestinian protests are banned, the curriculum changed, and new faculty members in the Middle Eastern Studies department must be affiliated with the Institute for Israel and Jewish Studies. In return, the US government will release $400m in federal research funding.

Columbia’s shameful capitulation to MAGA’s extortion put Harvard next in the line of fire. Trump ordered withholding of $9 billion in government funds from Harvard and revoked its eligibility to host international students. Students panicked and Harvard responded by filing multiple challenge lawsuits. Hundreds of less well-endowed universities nervously await the court decisions knowing the axe could fall on them.
He then turns to Pakistan:
Today, Pakistan has hundreds of so-called universities. But in reality these are dark dungeons that contain and stifle thought......

Veritas! This one word tells why there cannot be a Pakistani Harvard now or in the foreseeable future. A security state, obsessed with maintaining absolute control over its people, seeks only propaganda machines and technical institutes. It cannot tolerate a free-thinking Harvard-like university.

Most Pakistani professors are quite comfortable with the present rot; they see Veritas as a hindrance, not a help. As for the real Harvard: how much survives by the time Trump exits remains to be seen.

Paki birather's relationship with his Iron Brother, Tarrel than Himalayas fliend.

Paki birathers loot stuff from Iron brother trying to (smuggle?) take stuff across GB land border crossing. Paki afsars help themselves to Iron brother's phones and equipment, purportedly doing a baggage check.

The entitled chini briathers are wondering how come the Paki birathers are not kowtowing to the hans.

Just enjoy the sights of GB and the paki treachery.

Pakistan must ask for write off from the Chinese for all dues and keep Chinese in Pakistan as hostage till CCP agrees.

The question to be asked is did Munir carry out Pulwama thinking the Chinese J-10, PL-15 Combo will take out IAF aircraft at 200KM range but fizzed out on May 6th-7th night with 4-5 jammed PL-15 recovered intact, Aurangazeb went ahead with a prepared presentation.

Then everything went further downhill from there with Expenses H-9B, Ly-80, HqQ16 to Winglong, Shaheen(M-9) missiles being intercepted, 5 Fighter Aircraft + 1 Saab 2000+ 1 C130 lost in the air and then several Aircraft lost on the ground that Munir has now surrendered to Trump and allowing USA to inspect all the Chinese equipment they have?

This could very plausible explanation to what is happening.
