As usual India’s batting is woeful in this match and the usual 3rd 4th bowler issues. Some things never change :)

Incredible innigs by Pant! To go from 72-4 to 261-5 to win the game ..

Virender Sehwag
Last match of a series and
@RishabhPant17
playing brilliantly - this is a better love story than twilight.

Incredible innings from an incredible player - with great support from Hardik and Jadeja.

Pant should start playing such mature roles consistently now. We need a player who can accelerate with ease or play the waiting game as required by the team in that position. Not many players have the talent to do that. The spot left by Yuvraj is still vacant and Pant should grab it. We have enough of those 'hit or get out' type T20 munnas churned out by IPL every year to do what he usually does.

With Pant,Pandya, Jadeja middle order is fine. We need good openers and 1st, 2nd down. Yuvraj and Dhoni were great because of Sachin, Sehwag and Ganguly

Waiting for Chess Olympiad 2022 to start. What a honor for Chennai to host it for the first time in India - where the game originated.
In honor of the 44th Chess Olympiad 2022 in Chennai, India here is a position from 2021 World Cup between Adhiban, Baskaran vs. Delgado Ramirez, Neuris.
White to move. Can you find the brilliant move for white?

^^Yea... Q-h7 was missed by Neuris and he immediately resigned after seeing the move - and game was considered as one of the brilliant game.

I am glad that TN Govt is getting involved in welcoming this great event and I saw it come with a new video of the Chess Olympiad theme with the real Masters in Tamil. Nice.

^^^^ I Think after US (#1 seeded team), India will be next ranked in Open (and ahead of Norway).
For Women's section India is very strong (#1). Ukraine will be #2.
India B Team (which has Pragg), I think will surprise.

BTW This is historic as it is the largest (189 Countries) olympiad! Kudos to Chennai to pull this off.

neeraj chopda wins silver at world athletics championship.
gold medalist peter anderson is on radar since many yrs. ex cricketer from WI and threw ball at insane speed. he left cricket to focus on javelin.
He has lost to Neeraj in U-19 X2. However with help & nutrition he is exceeding 90m easily.

<OT> Table turning is fine so long as no fingers are broken..

Chess robot breaks seven-year-old opponent’s finger after malfunction
Technology and artificial intelligence, in general, has their own perks but there are instances when a clash between man and machine, leads to unfavourable circumstances. This is exactly what happened in Moscow when a chess-playing robot grabbed and broke a seven-year-old boy’s finger during a match at the Moscow Open last week.

Lazarev said that the robot has been involved in many such exhibition matches but has never malfunctioned. He refused to place the complete blame on the robot saying that the boy did not wait after making his move. The robot usually needs time to answer but the boy’s impatience led to the robot grabbing, according to him.

The performance was very much along the form guide this season . Peters has been consistently throwing 89-90m and Chopra has been throwing 88-89m and no one else has been as consistent as these two - they finished 1-2 in exactly the same range in the final with the bronze a couple of meters behind .

Qatar Football World Cup is a shameful event. Stadia, special residences and infra are built with slave labour from poor countries (including India) who were made to toil in inhuman conditions for several years. Qatar itself officially admitted over 6500 worker deaths in activities related to these games. I'll let you imagine the reality.

Not to speak of huge waste of energy and resources to conduct these games using non stop A/C to keep everyone cool and grounds green in the middle of the desert with 40°C+ temperatures. Wonder why the Greens and Gretas are mum on this...

I'm calling for a boycott of these shame games and of its sponsors, and of course the hugely corrupt FIFA whose members took bribes from Qatar to award it the games.

I saw rocketry recently and have a query related to a scene depicting Vikas engine's initial test. The engine is mounted on a test stand and is covered in white stuff presumably ice. When it ignites, it melts away revealing the metal beneath. I have seen some cryogenic engines firing and they are frosted (though not to this extent) prior to firing which makes sense as normal expansion of fuel/oxidizer is used to kick start the turbo pumps and the super cold liquid flowing through the entire engine should result in this. But for an engine using hypergolic fuel i.e. hydrazine and nitrogen tetraoxide combo this should not happen. I am assuming that starting the turbo pump should be as easy as feeding fuel and oxidizer into the preburner and hence it should be a fireball the moment both meet. Secondly, both fuel and oxidizer are at normal temperature. Is this a mistake in the movie or am I missing something?

Avinash Sable wins common wealth games silver medal in 3000 medal steeple chase in 8:11.20 missing gold narrowly by 0.05 seconds. His timing is within 2020 Olympics bronze medal timing and just a few seconds more than the gold medal. Since 1998 no body other than a Kenyan won any medal in this event.

For the first time in living history, Brothelwood is terrified for real. They can probably understand LSC getting shafted due to asinine comments of the lead actors. But a card carrying nationalist like Canada Kumar getting royally screwed for the writers past tweets, something they hadn't even game planned for, was the real kicker. This is brothelwoods 'tel laga lo dabur ka' moment.

Cherry on top is the success of South Indian movies in the Hindi heartland which Bollywood always presumed as its proprietary market. Not just Hindi heartland, South Indian movies are proving success globally. Telegu movie RRR has more than 100+ rave reviews from gora YouTube reviewers with all giving it 9+/10 & some saying it's the best action movie of this year. This must be hurting bollywoodadis nether regions like anything, who have not only made fun of stereotypical South Indian person in their movies but also disregarded their heroes as subprime assets as compared to Bollywood A-listers.

RRR, KGF, Bahubali, Pushpa, Vikram all have been raging successes. Kartikeya will surpass Lal singh chaddha despite being released 2 days late. On top of that upcoming South Indian movies Mani Ratnam's Poniyin Selvan & SS Rajamouli's Adipurush will decimate whatever is left of Bollywood.

Covid lockdown exposed people to global entertainment through Netflix, Hotstar etc & now people can compare the kind of garbage content they were consuming before. Now they want quality entertainment & not just that, they want it from actors who are not Anti-Hindu & Anti- India.

Mostly because the US Box office too has been declining a lot the last few weeks.. Besides the superhit Top Gun still stretching its legs there isn't much to speak about.

The "medium - small" budget movie has all been consumed by Streaming and OTT while Theatres eek by on Comic Book/Superhero releases.. Although those too are getting a bit too much for the public
