Paki Who Works For The US Embassy As "Chief Security Officer," Booked For Harassing Isloo Police

US embassy official arrested for harassing police
ISLAMABAD – The chief security officer (CSO) of the US embassy was arrested on Tuesday by the Kohsar police for alleged abetment in a crime, assaulting and harassing law enforcers. The Kohsar police arrested Syed Taimoor Iqbal from the parking area of the district and sessions court Islamabad as he had allegedly threatened and assaulted the police officials besides assisting a US diplomat, escape from police custody after a fatal traffic accident. So, basically he has now been made a scapegoat for "assisting a US diplomat to escape from police custody" ( whatever that means! )
US Defence and Air Attaché Col Joseph Emanuel ran the red light on Margalla Road last month and hit two young motorcyclists۔ One of them died while his pillion rider was injured.Iqbal reached the spot and threatened the police officials for holding the diplomat. Besides, he also put up resistance against the police to help the diplomat escape, said the police. So, basically he was doing the "dirty work" for the Americans. And luckily ( for the Amreeki !) it worked
Inspector Arshad Ali, the investigating officer of the case, told a leading publication that the victim’s father had lodged a complaint with the police against the CSO. Father to the rescue of the son
Syed Taimoor Iqbal not only intervened in the accident involving Joseph Emanuel but also rescued Chad Rex Auburn, US embassy’s Second Secretary, who rammed into a motorcyclist and injured him, last month.
However, the traffic police had declared that that accident happened due to the fault of the motorcyclist.
According to the FIR lodged after the incident, Iqbal misbehaved with police after the accident and attacked Abdul Sattar, the Station House Officer who became a complainant and stated that US embassy official tried to resist police from shifting the car and its driver to the station. The staffer was presented in Judicial Magistrate’s court last week and was ordered to sign a surety bond worth Rs. 50,000 to get bail. Hope the US embassy will intervene and stop the petty harassment of one of their local employees.

COASBajwa Pajwa Like His Predecessor Ass-phuck Kayani Makes It To Forbes "Powerful People List"

COAS General Bajwa among World’s most powerful people in 2018: Forbes
9 May, 2018
IDLAMABAD – Pakistan Army Chief General Qamar Javaid Bajwa has been included in the list of the most powerful people in the World as per the Forbes World's most powerful people in 2018. Forbes in its World’s Most Powerful People list for 2018 includes Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff, Qamar Javed Bajwa.
Ranking on number 68, General Bajwa is among one of the 75 most powerful people in the world.According to Forbes list, General Bajwa, who has completed two years into his tenure as the head of the world’s sixth largest army, has successfully established himself as a mediator and proponent of democracy.
Over the years, thanks to his efforts, Pakistan and India’s relations have been improving. Gen. Bajwa, Pakistan’s 10th Chief of Army staff is a four star rank general, and is a recipient of Nishan-e-Imtiaz and Hilal-i-Imtiaz. :((
China’s president Xi Jinping ranked number one on the list, while American president Donald Trump was ranked number three. Mark Zuckerberg, Pope Francis, Saudi crown prince Mohammad bin Salman Al Said, Narendra Modi, UK Prime Minister Theresa May were also part of the list.
PS: IMO, Forbes should keep at least one spot "reserved" for ANY Paki COAS who happens to be in power at the time of the list . He is always going to be the most powerful person in Pakiland . Unless, there is a "Iran style " Islamic revolution . And in that case, the spot should be "reserved" for the "Pakistani Ayatollah Khomeni"

British-Pakistani husbands filmed videos of wedding night': Girls reveal shocking details after marriage racket busted
Scores of young Pakistani girls have revealed their horrific tale as to how they were lured into marrying British-Pakistani nationals, who later blackmailed them by shooting videos of their first wedding night.

According to The Nation, victims spilled the beans about such marriage scams being run in areas like Pakistan's Mirpur where accused British nationals woo girls into considering marriage to them on promises of having a great life abroad.

The victims' families were also duped by these fraudsters, as revealed at a recent press conference held at the Kashmir Press Club in Mirpur.

Iranian "Joins" Missing Person's List !

Iranian goes ‘missing’ in Lahore
Updated May 09, 2018
LAHORE: An Iranian national has reportedly gone missing in the provincial capital under mysterious circumstances, it is learnt. Sources in police told Dawn on Tuesday Mahmood Zohrabi disappeared on Monday (May 7). He arrived here along with his ‘friends’ some days back and stayed at a hotel in Gulberg.Zohrabi had a dinner at a local restaurant on Monday evening and then went for shopping in Liberty Market before his disappearance.
Police have engaged the Safe Cities Authority to trace his mobility through CCTV cameras.
Sources said the local police were unaware of his arrival and stay in the provincial capital which was against standard operating procedure. They said the police were trying to trace his friend who had left for Islamabad.
IMO, the local police should get in touch with ISI, MI, IB or one of the other Deep State outfits who have been tasked to "keep an eye" on Shias, Ahmedis , Hindus , Christians and other such "subversive" Abduls and Ayeshas. They MAY have some answers . ( because the "victim" is a non - Paki national from the Ummah club of nations  ) And , by the way welcome in advance to Imran Khan's "Naya Pakistan" where if you are not a mainstream Sunni, you are already on the missing person's list or a potential one

Pakistan laments Trump’s withdrawal from Iran nuclear deal

I have a different take on this "Iran mess". In the first case, if POTUS was really serious about proliferation of nuclear weapons, he should gone to the source ( Pakistan !) with a vengenance ! . Instead Pakis are being "mollycuddled" . Pakiland and A.Q. Khan are responsible for the spread of this disease , not Iran and NOKO. Nuclear technology to both these countries were sold by the A.Q. Nuclear Network - "The One Stop (Wal-Mart) Shopping Centre of Nuclear Technology. So, Pakis "lamenting" is sheer B.S. IMO

Are Pakis Over-reacting When They Report These Kinds Of News Item . Or Are They Negotiating With The Americans Via Paki Public Media To Show Their Awaam That How Strong They Are

Security of Adiala Jail housing Dr Shakil Afridi beefed up
According to jail sources, an anti-aircraft gun has also been installed at the prison, and additional security personnel have been deployed separately for Afridi’s security.
According to the lawyer of Dr Afridi, Qamar Nadeem Advocate, Afridi is expected to be released in next few weeks as 10 years of imprisonment had been remitted.
Earlier, in May, a Russian news agency had claimed that the US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) failed to conduct an operation to stage a prison break for Shakil Afridi.
Moreover, Pakistan’s foreign office had negated any deal for Dr Afridi.

Karachi on fire

Karachi is again burning. That the opposition parties are responsible is shameful. Ultimately, it matters not who booked Hakeem Saeed playground first. The situation should never have been allowed to escalate.

That such unwarranted violence occurred just a day after an assassination attempt against the Interior minister signals what everyone needs to know about the state of democratic process in today’s Pakistan. It may or may not pose a similar threat to the citizenry as the religious right that takes ups arms to demonstrate commitment to the cause. In short, political expression has become a free-for-all; even when it comes to those who are supposed to be on the same side in terms of rule of law and accountability.

The city is still waiting for the both the PPP and PTI to take joint responsibility for the clashes that involved stone-throwing, torching vehicles and gunfire. To be sure, no one comes out of this winning. Admittedly, PPP co-Chairman Bilawal Zardari Bhutto eventually “invited” the PTI to go ahead and hold its jalsa; in the interest of peace. Yet, in the long-term, this indicates that political parties view the provinces as their own personal fiefdoms, across the board. It was a similar story when the Karachi PTI spokesperson Jamal Siddiqi reminded everyone of how his party had provided security for Bilawal and Asif Ali Zardari when they had rallied in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Yet holding provincial power brings with it certain obligations. Among them is security for the citizenry. Pictures of Amir Liaquat’s torn clothes suggest that women were not welcome.

Nevertheless, the most unhelpful comments have thus far come from Imran Khan. Throwing yet another of his infamous swing balls, he noted that the level of violence meted out by the PPP indicates its fear of PTI popularity in Sindh. This goes beyond political opportunism. He would have been better off simply filing complains that the PTI believed the PPP had hired the infamous Lyari gang to rough up their workers and left it to the police to do their job and investigate the matter. The same is true for the PPP, who have accused the PTI of recruiting some violent MQM elements towards the same ends.

This tit-for-tat has to stop. It is no way for political parties, the people’s elected representatives no less, to behave. Leaderships across the great divide must hold to account their respective workers and supporters. For bluntly put, it takes two to tango. Can anyone think of a greater black mark on democracy’s record than having to call in not only the police but the paramilitary Rangers to put a lid on the fighting? If the PPP and PTI cannot manage their own activists — neither has any business governing the people of Pakistan.

Lastly, the most important lesson perhaps to be learned is that it is unwise to schedule jalsas to commemorate a day, some 11 years ago, when political workers were ‘martyred’ in the same city. For paying tribute to violence only begets more violence. As Karachi bears witness to. Sadly. *

Paki Abdul On Way To "Land Of The Two Holy Mosques " Caught With 200 Heroin Capsules And Then The Pakis Wonder Why There Is No Reduction In Tourist Visas For Pakis Going To Saudia Arabia

ASF seizes 200 heroin capsules at Islamabad International Airport
ISLAMABAD – As many as 200 heroin-filled capsules and a packet of heroin was seized from a passenger by Airport Security Force (ASF) at the New Islamabad Airport.
The drug mule, identified as Shahbaz Arif, was travelling to Saudi Arabia via Dubai on Emirates flight number EK613. Is the Paki Drug Lord who used this " poor Abdul" as a "taxi" going to be caught, specially if he has some "high level connections"
The capsules of heroin which were recovered on Wednesday weighed around 1.5 kg while the packet weighed 1.1 kg; the passenger hails from Sialkot. This is the second case for the said airport where a suspect has been caught smuggling drugs through the newly inaugurated facility.
Previously, ASF had recovered two kilograms of Crystal Meth from a passenger who was identified as Khalas Taj. He was travelling to Riyadh via a domestic airlines’ flight. The passenger was later handed over to Anti-Narcotics Force for further investigation. Hope the seized drugs are quickly and properly destroyed ASAP, and do not become a secondary source of income for the Anti- Narcotics Force , as is often the case !!
The incident comes on the heels of the recovery of a bullet of a 30-bore pistol from the bag of a Spanish citizen at Islamabad airport.
According to sources, the Spanish citizen, Aman Masood, ( IMO, it is mischievous to call him a Spanish citizen and spoil the "good name" of Spain !) was to fly to Barcelona via Pakistan International Airline flight PK-769 but was stopped for interrogation by Airport Security Force personnel when a bullet was found in his possession.
The new Islamabad airport opened its doors for operations on May 3 after years of delays and setbacks. :((
The New Islamabad Airport has been under criticism from social media users after multiple videos blew the lid off administrative mismanagement, with some claiming that they had to wait for luggage for more than 3 hours. And go underground/ underneath the baggage carousal to retrieve their bags and baggage ie their "saamaan"

287,000 Free Loading Pakis Using The National Carrier - PIA - As A "Free Taxi". Public Exchequer Loses Rs 5 Billion

Rs 5 billion free tickets were given by PIA in one year: Report
May 9, 2018
ISLAMABAD - It has been revealed that 287,000 PIA tickets were distributed in 2013 which caused a loss of Rs5 billion.
Economist Farrukh Saleem, who was appointed amicus curiae ( fancy [Latin]) name , zero game  ) by the Supreme court earlier gave briefing to the bench on a projector.
In his briefing, Saleem informed the court that in 2008, PIA’s revenue operational cost was Rs129 billion, revenue was 89 billion while total losses stood at Rs73 billion.
Saleem added that from 2008 up till now, the loss has accumulated to Rs360 billion.
The chief justice observed that these losses occurred in the time of the last two governments. He stated that in 2013 an aviation division was established with Azeem as its head. The Chief Justice has been in the front and center " of so many things that are going on in Pakiland right now. How does he find the time and energy . Hope, that like Saddam, he is not employing "doubles" to stand - in for him.
Chief Justice Nisar regretted that taxpayers' money is consumed by PIA .
Terming political interference and association policies as reasons for the poor financial conditions,Saleem claimed employments in PIA were made on political grounds in the last 10 years.Saleem informed that PIA has seven unions affiliated with political parties. Dus Percenti's PPP party is the favorite of the union as both the the senior Sindhi wadhera and the Oxford educated junior wadhera have both vowed that they will not let this "public treasure" fall into private hands , which of course means that people losing their livelihood !
He added that 45 planes were bought on lease from 2008-17 while their grounding caused a loss of Rs6.67 billion. The chief justice then inquired whether the MDs will submit a joint response to these statements or individual replies.
Former MDs barred from leaving country But "THE GERMAN" still tricked the Pakis and got away - and to top it , he sold a PIA plane as well and pocketed the proceeds

Pakistani faces five years in prison for unregistered lobbying in US.
In the plea agreement, Chaudhry revealed that from 2012 through 2018, he acted as an agent of the Government of Pakistan in order to engage in political activities for, and in the interests of Pakistan. These activities were designed “to obtain and manage information on the status of the United States Government's policies regarding Pakistan, and to influence US government officials and US foreign policy towards Pakistan.”

Disclosing the modus operandi, the Justice Department said Chaudhry interacted with numerous institutes, foundations, and organizations operating in and around Washington, DC, commonly referred to as "think tanks," organizing roundtable between his American government and think tank contacts and visiting Pakistan government officials to influence United States foreign policy in a direction favorable to Pakistan’s interests.

“Chaudhry cultivated contacts within these entities and the US government in order to obtain in-depth information regarding US policies towards Pakistan. Chaudhry then sought to neutralize unfavorable views of Pakistan held by current and former US government officials by employing certain methods of discussion with these individuals during personal interactions with them and/or by controlling and manipulating discussion at the roundtable events he organized or attended,” the Justice Department said.

Chaudhry disclosed in his plea agreement that he regularly traveled to Pakistan to brief high-level Pakistan government officials on information obtained from his American government and think tank contacts. In consideration for his activities on behalf of the Government of Pakistan, Chaudhry was granted invitations to events at the Pakistan Embassy; introductions to, and meetings with, high-level Pakistan government officials; assistance with procuring civilian, military, or government -related jobs and preferential postings for relatives and associates in Pakistan; assistance with securing Pakistani visas on an expedited basis for friends, relatives, or associates; reimbursement for certain travel expenses; and the use of diplomatic channels to ship personal items to and from Pakistan, among other things, the Justice Department statement revealed.

Chaudhry is the second Pakistan-related underhand lobbyist facing prison time in recent years after US authorities put away Kashmiri “activist” Ghulam Nabi Fai in 2012 for being a frontman for Pakistan’s intelligence agency ISI, saying Islamabad illegally funneled money to him for lobbying activity. After serving jail time, Fai has returned to Kashmiri activism, albeit at a low key.

Chaudhry made no secret of his pro-Pakistan activism, boasting of friendship with prominent regional experts in the State Department and the thinktank community on his linked-in profile, where he described himself as the founder and President of Pakistan American League.

“He has been giving lectures at Foreign Services Institute, where Foreign Services Officers are trained and the institute is run by US Department of State. He also briefs Pakistani Officials in Islamabad and US Officials in Washington DC.," the profile says.

The incident comes at a testy time in US-Pakistan relations with a rudderless Islamabad insisting on prosecuting US embassy personnel involved in road accidents in Islamabad. The two sides are also locked in a row over limiting travel and access enjoyed by diplomats.
I am very surprised Uncle Sam has not revoked the permanent residency/citizenship granted to these paki lovers and expelled them. Fai and Chaudhary have not only broken US laws but have also clearly shown that they will act against US interests if they have to choose between pakistan and USA.

Paki Ayesha Achieves Some Sort Of A Dubious Record

First woman arrested in Pakistan under cyber crime for sexually harassing a man
KARACHI: A woman has been arrested for blackmailing and harassing a man in interior Sindh, a rare example of cybercrime in the country's history. According to FIA Sindh Director Muneer Sheikh, a man filed a complaint with the agency in April that he was being harassed by a woman using social networking website Facebook and WhatsApp. So, if this is to be believed , it means that the girl is not "shareef" and sharia should apply to her
The woman blackmailed the man through his objectionable pictures, extorted money from him and further demanded for it. The victim eventually complained to the FIA Cybercrime Wing, which took action and apprehended the suspect after registration of a first information report (FIR). The FIA officials seized her computer and mobile phone. So, through the wonders of globalization and internet, phone sex and internet sex has at last "arrived" in Pakiland . The mullahs had been screaming their heads off and and warning about this "western disease"
During investigations, the woman confessed to harassing the man, however, claimed that she did so after the man refused to marry her. Maybe, the Abdul was just having some internet "fun" at the expense of his wife without realizing that the Ayesha was deadly serious about him

Another Hindu Girl, Abducted, Converted , Married And Already Put Under An Arbi Style Nikab For The Photu

‘Abducted’ Faisalabad student embraces Islam, marries Muslim man
FAISALABAD: A woman belonging to the Hindu community, who had allegedly been abducted last week, has revealed that she had embraced Islam and married a Muslim boy.
The woman, Ayesha (previously Basanti Devi), a student of Zoology at University of Agriculture Faisalabad, had gone missing while on her way back home from the varsity on April 29. It was reported last Friday that her brother, Lal Krishan, had registered a case of abduction against unidentified persons at the Civil Lines police station and said that he could not get through to her even on phone.
With the police starting to search for the missing woman, she was finally recovered from Toba Tek Singh. Following her recovery, the 22-year-old along with her husband was presented before media at a presser held at the Civil Lines police station.
Speaking at the occasion, Ayesha said she had testified before a court that she accepted Islam and later married Zeeshan with her own will. She also demanded from the government to provide her and her in-laws with security, fearing life threats. This is the "usual formula" that is played over and over again , when such conversions occur. Some Abdul has a eye on a Hindu girl, abducts her , threatens her , some maulvi performs the conversion rites and pronto , she emerges as a "new person" before media, before court and nobody can do anything about it !
Meanwhile, Civil Lines SP while speaking to Pakistan Today said the further course of action on the registered FIR would be determined while considering that the woman is an adult and has her own CNIC card. “She will once again be presented in front of a court and any further action would come in the light of her statement.” The "court drama " is yet to come :x
“Ayesha has already appeared before the Bahawalpur bench of the high court and said that she did everything with her own will. She has also told the police that she converted to Islam as well as married Zeeshan without any pressure and approached the court only after she feared her and her in-laws’ life was in danger,” the official added.
It may be noted that the case, which appears to be the first of its kind within the past several years, has surfaced amid the rising numbers of reports pertaining to “enforced conversions” in the country. In June 2017, a 16-year-old Hindu girl, Ravita Meghwar, was allegedly abducted by men in Sindh. Within hours, Ravita had apparently embraced Islam. The woman, now Gulnaz, had then married a Muslim man.
The next day she told media representatives that she had accepted Islam and married the man without any pressure. But Meghwar’s parents had reported the suspects, claimed that their daughter was a minor, and demanded her safe recovery. Countering the claims, Gulnaz’s husband had submitted an application to the Sindh High Court (SHC) seeking protection from her family and relatives. The case was settled on June 23 when SHC allowed the woman to go with her husband. Similarly, in early 2012, a young Hindu girl called Rinkle Kumari was forced to convert to Islam, but the case had ended with Kumari going to live with her husband in the end. If by any chance, the girl does get returned to her Hindu family , there is no guarantee that she may be not be targeted and finished off and made an example off

Former federal minister and Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Dr Farooq Sattar has not been issued a visa by the US Embassy, a private TV channel reported.Dr Sattar applied for a visa eight months back and since then has been called to the embassy and questioned but the US Embassy was probably not satisfied with the MQM leader’s answers. The former minister has been trying to obtain a visa for the last eight months without any luck.
He has been visiting the US for 15 days every year for the last 30 years to meet his two daughters. His wife, who had earlier been granted a visa, waited for six months but after Sattar was rejected again, she left for the US on her own.Dr Sattar visited the US Embassy three to four times during the last eight months but could not satisfy the embassy staff. Now he has been given another interview date.
Pakis of all hues (rich, poor, Islamic, secular, educated , illitterate) "assume" that it is their right to get a visa . They should note that visa is a privilege of the host country and not a right even though "if you have been visiting for 15 days every year for the last 30 years . IMO, this politico is another collateral damage of the deteriorating ties between the two al-lies

CIA concerned about potential contacts between extremists and Pakistani nuclear scientists: Gina Haspel

WASHINGTON: The CIA continues to be very concerned about the potential connection between extremist groups and Pakistani nuclear scientists and is very closely monitoring this, a top official from the spy agency has told lawmakers.

"There was very deep concern about potential contacts, and we continue to monitor this very closely, between extremists and Pakistani nuclear scientists," Gina Haspel, US President Donald Trump's nominee for CIA director told the members of the Senate Select Intelligence Committee during her confirmation hearing on Wednesday.

Haspel, if confirmed by the Senate, would be the first female head of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA). She was responding to a question from Senator John Cornyn.

"(Recently reading through a book) I was reminded that post-9/11, President Bush was concerned about reports he had received that Osama bin Laden and al Qaida were meeting with the Pakistani officials connected with their nuclear programme to gain access to a nuclear device that they might then use for a follow-on attack against the cities like Washington DC," Cornyn said.

"Without divulging classified information, can you confirm that there were concerns about follow-on attacks using nuclear devices, biological weapons, other weapons of mass destruction that might have killed more innocent Americans as happened on 9/11? Was that the environment in which you and the country were operating in at the time?"Cornyn asked.

There were very grave concerns on that front, Haspel answered.

"And indeed, al-Qaida had those kinds of programmes, efforts to acquire crude, dirty bombs, efforts to develop -- they had a programme -- a biological weapons programme. I remember the operative who was in charge of that," Haspel said.

Neutering & Defanging Chinese Threat Thread

China gives Pakistan two ships for security of CPEC sea route

NEW DELHI: China yesterday handed over two maritime patrol vessels to the Pakistan Navy for joint security along the sea route of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), Dawn reported.

Yesterday, the Chinese vessels were received by the Commander of the Pakistan Navy Vice-Admiral Arifullah Hussaini. The ships are called PMSS Hingol and PMSS Basol after two rivers in the region.

"The ships have become part of the Pakistan Navy from today and the (Pakistan) navy would become stronger with the induction of these maritime vessels," Hussaini was quoted as saying by the Dawn. He added that the Pakistan-China friendship was becoming stronger and deeper than the ocean, day by day.

China is expected to provide two more ships "Dasht" and "Zhob" to the Pakistan navy. It is already working on them and they are expected to be completed soon.

Pakistan has already raised a new division of the army to ensure security along the CPEC route and in and around the Gwadar port. Security of Gwadar city has been handed over to the army's new division created during the tenure of former chief of army staff retired Gen Raheel Sharif.

The CPEC is an economic corridor comprising a collection of projects currently under construction at a cost of $54 billion. CPEC aims to facilitate trade along an overland route that connects Kashgar and Gwadar, through the construction of a network of highways, railways, optical fibre and pipelines.

"The economic corridor will be a game-changer for Pakistan and China, and the entire region would benefit from it," the Pak navy official said. "The CPEC will open new vistas of speedy development in Balochistan and create thousands of jobs for the local youth," he said.

In 2014, China took over management of Pakistan's Gwadar port, en route to key Hormuz Straits oil shipping lanes. The move had raised concerns in India about its fellow Asian giant's growing strategic clout.

Fake degrees galore (but a degree is a degree, even if it is a fake).

SC summons PM Abbasi in pilots' fake degrees case
Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Mian Saqib Nisar on Thursday, while hearing a case pertaining to fake degrees of pilots, summoned heads of all Pakistani airlines as well Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi to appear in the next hearing.
"Shahid Khaqan Abbasi will have to appear in the capacity of a chief executive officer and not a premier."
He directed the heads of Pakistan International Airlines, Airblue Limited, Serene Air and Shaheen Air International to appear before the bench.
Ali Shah said that degrees of 1,972 people were verified while 24 pilots were found to be holding fake degrees.
Later during the hearing, the chief justice took a suo motu notice of lawyers holding fake degrees and sought a report on the issue form all bar councils within a month.
there were some lawyers who were practicing law without degrees while others were appearing in the court without licences.

Operation: Badm-e-Hazm (update)

Two girls’ schools hit by bomb explosions in North Waziristan
Militancy has again reared its ugly head in North Waziristan Agency as two schools for girls there have been hit by bomb explosions and pamphlets warning locals not to send grown-up girls to educational institutions have been distributed widely.
When contacted, however, local administration officials expressed ignorance about the bombing of two schools.
Meanwhile, a pamphlet distributed purportedly by a militant group called Ittehadul Mujahideen North Waziristan warned residents against sending grown-up girls to schools. “We will not tolerate to see grown-up girls going to schools in various areas,” it said.
The bombing of schools and distribution of controversial pamphlets have put a question mark over the government’s claims that the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (Fata), particularly the North Waziristan Agency, has been cleared of militants.

Good news for the true believers. Must keep a watch on this space.

IHC orders halting transmission of 'circus shows' during Ramazan
The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Wednesday, while hearing a case on implementation of the Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority's (Pemra) code of conduct for Ramazan transmissions and morning shows, ordered putting an end to the airing of programmes like 'Neelam Ghar' and those "appearing to be like a circus show" (the entire nation of bakwasitan is a freaking circus show) for the duration of the holy month.(After this one month, the "circus show" can resume?)
channels engaged in airing or spreading "obscene, indecent and immoral" content will be dealt with in accordance to penal provisions.
No programme suggestive of containing lottery and gambling, even apparently for a noble purpose like Haj/Umrah tickets etc, shall be promoted to air either live or recorded
No activity in [an] individual or collective capacity of any citizen can be allowed which is against the glory of Islam, integrity, security or defence of Pakistan
"It is [the] responsibility of the State to provide an atmosphere in accordance with the teachings and requirements of Islam as set out in the Holy Quran and Sunnah. As such indecency, morality and obscenity of any kind and nature is against the injunctions of Islam and offensive to guarantees provided by the organic law of the country ie. the Constitution."
"Complete ban on advertisements, dramas and films of foreign origin, India in particular."
The committee shall ensure that contents proposed to be aired are not in conflict with the injunctions of Islam
All TV channels should broadcast the call to prayer five times a day.
only three channels have been airing the call to prayer punctually
No advertisements can be aired at least five minutes prior to the breaking of the fast. Instead, Durood Sharif and dua "must be offered for the solidarity, prosperity, peace and tranquillity of Pakistan, well-being of all citizens and promotion of tolerance, forgiveness, sacrifices and acceptance of prayers."
"We will not allow such things in sehr and iftar transmissions"
...about matters of religion. He suggested that only religious scholars holding no less than a PhD degree should be permitted to speak on such subjects
"What a strange spectacle it is, that hamds, naats and recitation of the Holy Quran are being aired to music"
Justice Siddiqui also asked who is airing Indian channels in Pakistan, and ordered a report to be submitted on the matter in court.
AoA. Honor, Dignity and Sovereignty have been saved.

Quid Pro Quo - pakhanistan style. Dad invests in the PM's failed airlines and his son becomes the nation's next ambassador to the US.

First the good news:

Ali Jahangir Siddiqui accepted as officially nominated envoy to US
Siddiqui can officially be regarded as ambassador-designate after the official approval from the State Department. He’s expected to present his credentials to the White House after his arrival.
Second: the bad news:

Ali Jahangir Siddiqui can be a game-changer in govt business too
Ali Jahangir Siddiqui, who is chairman of JS Private Equity Management and board member of Air-Blue (PM Abassi was the founder of air blue), is highly qualified and well-educated young entrepreneur...
JS(Jahangir Siddiqui) group invested $ 20M in Air Blue last week, today his son Ali Siddiqui became PM's advisor. Good going
Third, the ugly news:
The Pakistani diplomats across the US will be facing travel restriction starting Friday, while it’s top envoy has announced to leave the ambassadorial post in three weeks.
The ban was earlier expected from May 1, but both sides were in talks to resolve the issue. As the efforts failed, Pakistani diplomats will not be able to move freely.

Sign Of Further Deteriorating US- Pakistan Ties : US Block UN Sanctions On TTP Leader, Khuransani

US blocks UN sanctions on Khurasani
ISLAMABAD: The United States is believed to have blocked a Pakistani request with the UN Security Council’s sanctions committee for listing of Jamaat-ul-Ahrar (JuA) leader Abdul Wali, commonly known as Umer Khalid Khurasani.Although Pakistan has still not been notified about the development by the sanctions committee, the Foreign Office has informally learnt that the process has been held up because of an objection by the United States, a senior diplomatic source revealed.
Take a look: Afghanistan-based terrorists behind Swat attack, Kabul told
The US objected to Pakistani request for Khurasani’s listing because of his location that has been mentioned as Afghanistan.
The US move comes amid deteriorating ties with Pakistan, which have been on a steep downslide since the announcement of the new South Asia and Afghanistan policy by the Trump administration last August. Unlike the past, this time, under the new POTUS, the spat between the two "allies" appears serious , as Pakiland has no longer been allowed to "take Amreeki taxpayers for a ride". Pakiland, still holds the Trump Card IMO. Their gateway to Afghanistan, which they shut off for Massa, if things get real real tough for them !
“The Americans inject politics into the sanctions regime and practice double standards. They are not listing the leader of a terrorist entity who is targeting Pakistan. Merely because he is operating from Afghanistan,” a Pakistani official told Dawn. This is the same kind of scenario ( re Hussein Haqqani, and Altaf Bhai ) repeated again. Pakiland is "rushing" to UN asking them to take care of "internal" enemies, just like they went to Interpol to complain about Haqqani and Altaf Bhai of MQM- The Interpol declined . The angst is clearly showing !
“Instead of supporting Pakistani request for listing a terrorist, the US raised an objection. The US needs to act fairly to root out terrorism. Such actions by the US undermine the credibility of the UN sanctions list,” he added Pakistan had made the request almost nine months ago as Khurasani was the leader of JuA that had been listed earlier on Pakistan’s request on July 6, 2017 with its base identified as Lalpura, in Nangarhar province of Afghanistan. These "snakes" of JuA have now come to bite Pakiland . They were earlier fed and nurtured by Deep State !
JuA was listed for “participating in the financing, planning, facilitating, preparing, or perpetrating of acts or activities by, in conjunction with, under the name of, on behalf of, or in support of, otherwise supporting acts or activities of and either owned or controlled, directly or indirectly by, or otherwise supporting Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan and Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant”. :((
JuA is one of the splinter groups of the banned TTP and is believed to be the most lethal terrorist group that has claimed to have carried out several major attacks including a suicide blast at Wagah; the October 2014 twin bombing in Mohmand Agency; the March 2015 attack on Youhanabad Church in Lahore; the March 2015 Easter Sunday attack on a children’s park in Lahore; the March 2016 attack with IED on a vehicle carrying a US Drug Enforcement Administration team at Sangar in Mohmand Agency; the March 2016 bombing attack on Shabqadar (Charsadda) District Court; the bomb attack in Warsak Colony, Peshawar; and a February 2017 attack in Lahore. More :((
The group is suspected to have carried out over 150 attacks against diverse targets since its creation in 2014. Khurasani is the mastermind of the Army Public School carnage and the Easter Sunday attack.
JuA in a statement sent to journalists welcomed the US move to block Khurasani’s listing. :rotfl: Massa in bed with the "terrorists" to hurt Pakiland !

We cannot remain a security state any longer

Today, the shortcomings of our security-centric state policies are clearly visible

In 1971 when East Pakistan seceded to become an independent Bangladesh, its population was around 67 million whereas West Pakistan’s was around 60 million. In the next sixteen years, by 1987, Pakistan population had surpassed that of Bangladesh. Today, while Pakistan’s population is 210 million, Bangladesh’s population is just short of 167 million. Not only has Bangladesh successfully controlled the population growth rate, over the last ten years its economy consistently grew at a rate of no less than 6 percent annually.

Bangladesh also has us beat in other areas. Its per capita income is higher than Pakistan as is its GDP growth rate. While our forex reserves struggle at $17 billion, Bangladesh’s have crossed $33 million. Furthermore, while 60 million people live below the poverty line in this country, there are only 22 million of such unfortunates in Bangladesh. This is a territory whose people were looked at with disdain by both the political and military leadership of Pakistan, before and after it became a separate country.

Though we have refused to reflect on this as a country, the reality is that people and state of Bangladesh have been doing well ever since they separated from us. By virtue of this fact Pakistan’s own policy choices in the areas of political system, economy, security and international diplomacy stand as plain fiascos. Our morbid sense of national ‘insecurity’, self-assumed status as a fortress of Islam, disgust for people’s right to rule themselves have lead us to the socio-economic and political disaster we find ourselves in today.

Despite this sorry state of affairs, we are still adding 3.8 million to our population every year. This development is no meagre challenge. We are already an impoverished country, burdened by lack of investments, no public health or education and our people feel increasingly politically disenfranchised. Yet our policies and narrative remain security driven as they always have.

Over the last seventy years of our existence, we have seen numerous experiments conducted on our state and governance system. We lost East Pakistan because of these experiments, and today we are more divided than ever before. All that can save us is a strong democratic system, but for that too we will need to come up with a new social contract with the goal of promoting citizens’ welfare and development.

Today, the shortcomings of our security-centric state policies are clearly visible. We must prioritise internal stability and peace over international agendas. South Korea, Taiwan, China and Singapore are some countries who have done so despite having territorial and ideological disputes with neighbouring countries. Regardless of whatever situation these countries found themselves in, they preferred to invest in education, health and their people. Pakistan will have to do the same.

PIA Pilots Found Flying Planes With Bogus Degrees! Passenger Lives At Stake

PIA flying at the right attitude  , with wrong pilots
ISLAMABAD – As many as 24 pilots and 67 crew-members of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) hold fake degrees, the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) informed the Supreme Court on Thursday. "Purchased" from Exact University
A CAA representative informed the top court that seven out of the 24 PIA pilots have obtained stay orders from the court while the verification process of 1,972 employees and their degrees has been completed. It seems that not a day goes by, and a new scandal is dug up by the Paki media re the disgraced airline
Other than these seven pilots of the national flag-carrier, the remaining 17 quit their jobs, the CAA official added. Hope the remaining 17, do not take up "pilot jobs" in the Gulf at the expense of their Arab brethren !
The report submitted by Sajid Ilyas Bhatti on behalf of the CAA in the SC further states that none of the pilots in the private airlines is holding fake degree. So some pilot jobs in PIA are most likely filled on the basis of sifarish, putting passenger lives at risk
“That out of 451 PIA pilots at present, the degree/certificates of 319 have been verified and found to be genuine by PIA. The degree verification of 124 pilots is under process. There are seven pilots with bogus degrees who are working because of stay orders passed by courts in their favour (sic)…”
Putting lives of passengers at risk. !!! Maybe, these pilots are sons, brothers, cousins, cousins in-laws, son in law , uncles, uncles in law , father in law, adopted son , adopted son in law of powerful generals, powerful politicians, powerful Supreme Court judges, powerful landlords, powerful industrialists etc etc
“The private airlines, Shaheen Air, Air Blue and Serene Air, requested time to verify degrees of their pilots and cabin crew as they stated they had never done this exercise before. The CAA’s committee directed them through letters that this exercise needs to be completed in one month positively,” the report read.
During the course of proceeding, the Supreme Court summoned the chief executive officers of all the national airlines including Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, who holds shares in Air Blue, at the apex court’s Karachi Registry next week.

Example Of Pakistan's "Aggressive Diplomacy "

Pakistan invites Afghanistan to join CPEC
May 10, 2018
ISLAMABAD - National Security Adviser Nasser Khan Janjua says peaceful Afghanistan is imperative for peace in the region.
The Advisor invited Afghanistan to join Pakistan in projects like China-Pakistan Economic Corridor and China's One Belt One Road initiative. Paki foreign policy is made on "as you go basis"
Answering a question regarding Pakistan's relations with India, the Advisor said India has defeated bilateralism by showing reluctance for dialogue. (wtf does he mean by that !)

Massa Appears To Have Finally Decided To Impose Restrictions On Paki Diplomats Diplomutts In D.C, New York, Houston, Chicago And L.A.

A new low emerges in Pakistan US diplomatic ties
ISLAMABAD – A new low comes to Pakistan US ties as the Trump administration has confirmed that Pakistani diplomats could not roam around freely in the United States without seeking permission from relevant authorities.According to media reports, the restrictions would be applicable from tomorrow (Friday), moreover, the US State Department has informed the Pakistani embassy in Washington about the development. No more weekend jaunts for the Begum and the family to New York, Washington, Disneyworld, Disneyland and other touristy places for which USA is "famous" . No more shopping at factory outlets for "deals" in electronic items to "take home" when relatives come over to Massaland . And no more "out of town" weekend trips to attend marriage ceremonies, picnics , reunions etc etc

In Pakistan, the Press Remains in Chains While Pashtun Activists March On
Mohamed Taqi
The Pashtun Tahaffuz Movement (PTM) – which came to the fore after the extrajudicial killing of a young Pashtun man at the hands of police officer Rao Anwar in Karachi earlier this year – continues to march on in Pakistan. It recently held an impressive rally in Peshawar – the Pashtun heartland – without the support of the traditional Pashtun nationalist outfit, the Awami National Party (ANP), which considers itself the political heir to ‘Frontier Gandhi’ – the late Abdul Ghaffar Khan.
The rally brought together a large number of the families of missing Pashtun men and boys, who they claim were forcibly disappeared by the Pakistan Army during and after its operations in the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) – where the country’s constitutional provisions do not apply – and in the so-called “settled” areas like the Swat Valley, which is part of the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province.
The PTM’s key leader, Manzoor Pashteen, continues to capture the imagination of the Pashtuns with his unassuming demeanour, straightforward explanation of the movement’s main objectives, clear roadmap and resolve to persevere where others have faltered. His plain talk reiterates the movement’s key demands, including the release of those abducted by the army who are innocent and producing before the courts the ones who may have any charges against them.
The Peshawar rally, however, was not the last one. The PTM announced one in Lahore, which has rattled the Pakistani security establishment – a euphemism for the country’s army. The army has been leery of the PTM from the outset but the announcement to hold the rally in Lahore – where no key Pashtun leader has held one since the ANP’s late Wali Khan in the mid-1980s – threw it into a real tizzy.
The army chief, General Qamar Javed Bajwa, took it upon himself to castigate the PTM as “engineered protests” and said that it would not be allowed to undo the so-called gains of military operations. In order to put his words into action, his minions began doing what the army has done for decades – threaten and abduct political workers, censor the press, stifle the electronic media and smear dissenters as foreign agents. ( Uptil now the PTM Movement has always said [ like Mujib Ur Rahman ] that it wants a solution to its problems within the concept of Pakistan . If the Pashtun leader is "dubbed a foreign agent" as was Mujib !, this may change . )
Several leaders of the PTM and the leftist Awami Workers Party (AWP), who were involved in planning the Lahore protest, were taken into custody by the Punjab police. Protests erupted over social media after a video surfaced of them being taken into custody, which appeared more like an illegal detention than a formal arrest. The authorities eventually caved in to the backlash and released the leaders.
To the army’s ultimate chagrin, the PTM eventually held an unprecedented rally in Lahore, which was attended not just by the Pashtuns but also by the Punjabi civil and human rights activists and leftist political cadres. The PTM leaders announced that they would hold further rallies in Swat, which was once firmly under the heels of the Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), followed by one in Karachi. Karachi has the largest number of Pashtuns living outside the KP province and FATA . There is a lot of tension between the Pashtuns and the mojahirs as well !
What became clear before and after the Lahore rally was that the army is unwilling to give any space to news reports or opinion pieces favourable to the PTM and intends to continue ensuring a near-complete electronic media blackout of the movement and therefore of the FATA, which it continues to use as a sanctuary for its agenda against Afghanistan.
Columnist after columnist announced on Twitter that their weekly column was not published because of the topic – the PTM. Former Senator Afrasiab Khattak and Gul Bukhari, regular writers for The Nation, and Mosharraf Zaidi, Talat Hussain and Imtiaz Alam, who write for The News International, had their columns pulled. There is bound to be a backlash. Those days are gone, when Paki Army used to fool the awaam with "glorious front page news of Paki victory in 1971 war"
In one instance, The News International took down a column by a Pashtun activist Khan Zaman Kakar from its website after it had been appeared in the print edition. I have had the first-hand experience of my own weekly column getting shut down by the Daily Times under duress from the army three years ago for similar reasons: criticising the army’s jihadist policy as well as its sham operations in the FATA and its highhandedness against the people there.
Pakistan’s largest private television news channel, Geo, has also faced the wrath of the army, which not only banned the channel in cantonment areas but also the delivery of the group’s newspapers Jang and The News there. Some sort of accommodation has now been reached between the Paki Establishment and the owners of Jang Group of Newspapers !
The chronicler of curbs on the media in Pakistan, Zamir Niazi, wrote in his book The Press In Chains that the first political thought to be censored in Pakistan was actually that of the country’s founder Mohammed Ali Jinnah. It was Jinnah’s August 11, 1947 address to the constituent assembly, a speech described as the greatest of his life by his biographer Hector Bolitho, that ended up on the censor’s chopping block. This was the landmark speech in which Jinnah laid down his vision for a by and large secular Pakistan as he perceived it. Niazi cites Hamid Jalal that “this speech of the Quaid-e-Azam became the target of what may be called the first of the press advices issued by Pakistan’s permanent establishment … however it was still a shadowy establishment”. Most of the then media toed the establishment’s line and suppressed the speech, except the daily Dawn that carried it. Dawn was founded by DJinnah !
Niazi has also recorded an incident where parts of Jinnah’s sister and confidant Fatima Jinnah’s speech were muted by Radio Pakistan. Fatima was to address the nation at her brother’s death anniversary on September 11, 1951, when Radio Pakistan’s director Z.A. Bukhari asked her to delete two sentences that were critical of the then government. Fatima refused and was allowed to go on air only to find later that her talk “had faded out at two points, which later were found to coincide with the sentences to which Bokhari had objected”. People protested the censor and Fatima refused to deliver the commemorative address till years later. To the chagrin of the Pakjabi Establishment of that time- when the capital was still in Karachi - the Mohajirs always supported DJinnah's sister against the Pakjabi Establishment !
In Pakistan, the army formally anointed itself as the arbiter of the so-called national interest with Field Marshal Ayub Khan’s coup d’etat and relegated the civil bureaucracy to play the second fiddle to it in the permanent establishment. To complete its chokehold on the national interest narrative, the Ayub Khan regime brazenly muzzled the press and forcibly took over the independent Progressive Papers Limited of Mian Iftikharuddin, which included the dailies Pakistan Times, Imroze and the periodical Lail-o-Nahar. In a hard-hitting piece, which remains a must-read even today, the Pakistan Times‘ editor Mazhar Ali Khan later wrote in Feroz Ahmed’s Pakistan Forum:
It will not be easy for our future historians to determine which single action of the self-appointed President and his Government of courtiers did the greatest harm to the national interest, for they will have a wide field to survey. Many will probably conclude that the Dictatorship’s gravest crime was its deliberate destruction of press freedom, because so many other evils flowed from this act of denying to the people of Pakistan one of their fundamental rights. It is, therefore, pertinent to recall the Ayub regime’s first step towards this fascist aim, namely, its attack on the Progressive Papers, an institution created under the patronage of the Quaid-e-Azam.”
In Pakistan, it seems, the more things change the more they remain the same. From the television outlets muting the former prime minister Nawaz Sharif’s recent speech to the army chief directly giving press advice to a group of journalists and the army hounding the dissenting voices in the print and electronic media, the military is unwilling to let go of its control over the narrative. There are thousands of social media accounts that parrot the army’s line while the army itself has abducted social media activists and tortured bloggers.
In their landmark article titled ‘21st-century censorship’, the authors Philip Bennett and Moises Naim had produced a matrix of the censorship types and methods deployed by the present-day regimes, that ranges from direct violence against journalists to sly use of internet proxy warriors that troll legitimate political dissenters and rights campaigners. For each of the listed tools to control or mould opinion and stifle dissent, there’s an available example in the Pakistan Army’s war against the freedom of expression.
From torturing and killing journalists like Saleem Shahzad to forcing electronic and print media into self-censorship, the Pakistan Army has consistently deployed a panoply of coercive measures, in addition to the carrots it dangles in front of media persons. As Bennett and Naim have pointed out, many states and state agencies “went from spectators in the digital revolution to sophisticated early adopters of advanced technologies that allowed them to monitor content, activists and journalists, and direct the flow of information.”
Pakistan Army’s media wing, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), is one such entity that fits the bill. The near-complete blackout of the PTM’s massive rally in Swat on April 29 in the electronic and print media again shows that the ISPR is getting away with serving as the de facto censor and media control authority in Pakistan.
What the army under General Bajwa is doing to dissenters is a reminder of Ayub Khan’s regime. The army’s treatment of the PTM and its peaceful demand for constitutional rights and legal redressal of grievances should send alarm bells ringing. George Bernard Shaw had said that the first condition of progress is the removal of censorship. And to me, the first sign of regression is its return. Pakistan has effectively regressed to martial law. What we had known since the ostensible return of democracy in Pakistan in 2008 was that the army has the complete control over the foreign and national security policies and most domestic affairs as well. It seems that the Pakistani Establishment has not learnt any lessons from the 1971 war which led to the breakup of the "original Pakistan"
An apparent decade of democracy has actually been ten years of undeclared martial law with a democratic fig leaf. What the PTM and its leader Manzoor Pashteen have done is to force that martial law to bare its ugly, iron teeth. Pakistani politicians and rights activists can join Pashteen’s entourage or wait for their turn when the army comes for them.

Hashish Smoking In The Corridors Of The Paki Parliament Is Making MNA's And Senators "Dizzy"

Senate body bans hashish smoking inside Parliament Lodges
ISLAMABAD: Hashish smokers should be stopped from lighting up within Parliament Lodges’ premises and be asked to smoke “somewhere outside”, Senate Deputy Chairman Saleem Mandviwalla held on Thursday when a colleague of his complained of ‘feeling dizzy’ after inhaling second-hand smoke in the lodges. The "atmosphere " inside the "chambers" should also make "members dizzy" , not from the smoke though
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) Senator Samina Saeed complained that “drivers smoke hashish inside the Parliament Lodges and are sometimes joined by policemen for a drag” during a session of the Senate House Committee — which overlooks the overall upkeep of the parliament. So, there is "unwanted smoking" going on in the "august chambers" as well
“My head starts spinning because of the hashish smoke when I pass through that area,” Senator Samina said, adding that once when she passed by the lodges, she started “feeling dizzy” by the time she reached her room. There are various antidotes available on the market to cure that problem . The best antidote is to read "The Book" . And that itself , according to Karl Marx , is another sort of an opium .
The committee, chaired by the deputy speaker, subsequently recommended an end to hashish smoking in the lodges. “Those smoking hashish should be stopped, they can go outside somewhere and smoke it,” Senator Mandviwalla said. But, in the lawless Paki environment who has the "guts" to enforce the ban
Illegal occupation of rooms in the Parliament Lodges and the prevalence of rats also came under discussion in the committee.Officials told the committee that PTI MNA Murad Saeed and his driver are illegally residing in the lodges which are intended for the use of senators, after which the committee ordered Saeed to vacate his room. So, the Paki Parliament is fast becoming a meeting place for unwanted visitors ( rats !) as well as a "rooming house" for homeless drivers and servants
The committee’s chair also admonished the Capital Development Authority (CDA) over its failure to resolve the issue of rat infestation and to keep the toilets in the parliament clean. There is a solution for the "toilet problem" as well . Portable toilets are now available for sale in the market . Satisfaction guaranteed or your money back
“It appears that the police shall have to be called in to catch rats,” a member remarked. ( tongue in cheek remark or a serious suggestion, not sure about that  )
Nearly 3.6 per cent of Pakistan’s population uses cannabis, according to a United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime report in 2013, making it the most commonly-used drug in the country.
3.6 % multiplied by 200 Million ( conservative !) equals almost 7 Million people on an illegal drug . Add to that the polluted Eastern Air coming in from India , and you have a major major health problem "brewing" in Pakiland.

No more weekend for the Begum and the family to New York, Washington, Disneyworld, Disneyland and other touristy places for which USA is "famous" . No more shopping at factory outlets for "deals" electronic items to "take home" when relatives come over to Massaland . And no more "out of town" weekend trips to attend marriage ceremonies, picnics , reunions etc etc
That's too bad for us... now that the diplomats won't get to travel at will, they may actually stay back and do the work they are supposed to do. They may even save their country a lot of money in the process...

Ganja Threatens NAB Chief With Consequences But His Claims Of Innocency Appear Hollow IMO

Nawaz gives NAB chief 24 hours to come clean
ISLAMABAD: Former prime minister Nawaz Sharif on Thursday sought an apology from the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) and demanded the resignation of Chairman Justice (r) Javed Iqbal if the anti-graft body fails to prove money laundering allegations against him within 24 hours.
He was referring to NAB’s probe against him, involving alleged money laundering of $4.9 billion to India. For once, one has to admit that the vengeful NAB Chief has "gone too far " in accusing Ganja Sharif of laundering $ 4.9 Billion ( with a B !) to "archenemy India ". Even the "esteemed" World Bank ( a "favorite" client of Pakistan :D ) has come out with a strong statement against the charge thus boosting Ganja's ( wrong !) claim that he is unfairly accused of corruption
Addressing a press conference at the Punjab House in Islamabad, the former premier gave a 24-hour deadline to the NAB to provide evidence and said that “the NAB has lost its credibility; its vindictive approach is weakening democracy.” Beggars cannot be choosers ! No apology will be given, now that he has fallen from power ! Pakistan is not amongst countries ( like India , USA, UK ) where Ex Presidents, Ex PMs are treated with respect and dignity
When the deposed PM entered the venue, he was accompanied by jiyalas yelling ‘Mian Sahab, We love you’ at the top of their voices. However, they were stopped right outside the main hall. A minor commotion broke out when they tried to enter the hall; however, Nawaz Sharif had to ask an assistant to go out and calm the supporters. The Paki public is in love with this ( corrupt to the core !) " guy "
In a no holds barred manner, the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supreme leader, flanked by Mushahid Hussain Syed on his right and Pervaiz Rashid on his left, read a pre-written statement where he pointed out the irresponsible and biased attitude of the NAB towards the Sharif family. But, then when Ganja was "Badshah" of Pakiland, he treated his political opponents ( like Zardari ) in a similar "irresponsible and biased " manner . !
He wondered why the NAB chairman felt the urgency to issue a press statement late night on “a nameless press column”, adding that the World Bank had also refuted these claims two years ago. But then this is Paki politics ! Cannot start complaining now that he is "chucked out from power" from not obeying Deep State's orders !!!
“Conspiracies are being hatched to forge new cases against me and charge me in them. This is shameless pre-poll rigging,” the three-time prime minister asserted.Further lashing out at the NAB, he said that the watchdog’s allegations against him were “shameful”.“You shall remember that I was not named in the Panama Papers but whatever happened is in front of you,” he said. His claims and pretensions of innocency , are all BS, at least IMO
He claimed that the joint investigation team made by the Supreme Court could not prove corruption of [even] a “single penny” against him. “But it had been decided to oust me and so an Iqama, a visa, was used to disqualify me.” Besides being a shrewd dehati politico , this "guy" is a good actor as well
“Does NAB not know that the World Bank had issued a clarification? Does it not know that reputed newspapers like the Wall Street Journal, Dawn, Business Recorder had reported on the issue?” Selective facts quoted to claim his innocence . Wall Street Journal, Dawn, Business Recorder and many others have written many articles about the legendary corruption of the Sharif family !!!
He claimed, “People from my party [PML-N] are being told they should leave and join PTI [Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf] or contest elections as independent candidates and if they do not, then NAB will open cases against them.”“There is a nexus,” he claimed once again referring to ‘aliens’.Claiming that he is being targeted, Nawaz said, “90 per cent of NAB’s current cases revolve around us.” This is the fate of all Paki politicos once they are not in power. Was not a "murder case" brought against Z.A. Bhutto . Was Mush not accused of corruption and murder of BB after he left office. Nothing new here !!!
“If there was any credible evidence against me then a judgment would have been made in 10 days and the case would not have been going on for nine months,” he upheld. Nawaz added, “They want to keep running cases against me till they fabricate and manufacture something to send me down.” Drip by drip torture is much better than the Friday chopping of the neck practiced under Sharia in Jeddah and Ryadh by the Saudis
Criticising other politicians against whom corruption proceedings have been ongoing for years and they are yet to appear in court, Sharif said he has made almost 70 appearances before the court in the trial against him. This is the price you pay when you dare to disobey Deep State's warning not to befriend Modi-ji and India
He further said he will not go to anyone seeking an apology or commutation of sentence. “I will not plead for mercy if sentenced,” he asserted. Responding to a question regarding ‘aliens’, the ousted premier said, “They are not visible.” The "famous" Echendee of Nawaz Sharif is going to land him in Adiali pretty soon
“Aliens have been present for the last 70 years and will now confront those present on the ground,” he added. The former premier said, “People on ground will defeat aliens.”‘Will tell the whole truth but not in one go,’ he said while replying to a query pertaining to why he is not coming all out against establishment and tell the nation the whole truth. Keep the suspense . A good strategy IMO !!!
Speaking about the alliance between Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), Sharif said, “The nexus goes back to Tahirul Qadri’s All Parties Conference,” in an allusion to the Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) chief based in Canada.
“Ask Imran if he voted in favour of the arrow [PPP’s electoral symbol] or not,” he said.Interestingly, during the question and answers session, former prime minister whisked aside the question about recent statements by Chaudhry Nisar and his possible defection to PTI and didn’t comment on it.
Nisar is the "wild card and a loose cannon " in the whole "PML Equation". He -with his fauji connections - can be a "kingmaker" and whisper a few good words for Shahbaaz as possible PM of Pakiland, and then he can upgrade himself for CMship for Pakjab . So he has to be "handled with care"
“Laws leading to the formation of NAB were authored by Musharraf, that is why we see NAB is acting beyond its powers,” Nawaz said, adding that the remarks passed by Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi on the NAB chief are “commendable”.
At least Ganja can draw comfort that another equally corrupt politico is "standing behind him" !
Referring to the recent defection of PML-N lawmaker from Gujranwala, Rana Nazir, the former prime minister said that the lawmaker’s son did not vote for his party presidency. “Now I’ve learnt that Nazir is switching to PTI.”
As they say, when it rains, it pours . Many PML N MNA's are seeing the writing on the wall and are (wholesale) migrating to greener pastures under the umbrella of PTI , where "they will serve the awaam" , as they had served them under Ganja's party
“Defecting leaders of south Punjab aren’t even known by the public,” the former premier said while referring to the PML-N lawmakers that joined rival PTI.Lawmakers, including former state minister of foreign affairs Khusro Bakhtiar, joined PTI and announced their decision in a press conference.
Ganja Sharif is powerless as well as friendless now a days - the price you pay for disobeying Deep State !!!
