Shinde going, going... Ajit Pawar readies to be Maha successor
Maharashtra chief minister Eknath Shinde appears to be on his way out, making way for NCP’s Ajit Pawar as his successor in alliance with the BJP. With the Damocles’ sword of the Supreme Court’s defection verdict hanging over Shinde’s head, the change of guard is just a matter of time. Ajit is in a hurry to realise his dream of becoming CM. He has the support of 35-40 NCP lawmakers, so the anti-defection law will not kick in.

However, senior leaders in his camp want him to get party founder Sharad Pawar’s consent so as to avoid the the 2019 fiasco of forming a government with the BJP, which fell within 80 hours as the senior Pawar was not on board. “Sharad Pawar is reluctant to go with the BJP.

He asked Ajit to take his own call, saying he (Sharad) was not willing to stigmatise his political career that is at its fag end by aligning with the saffron party. Ajit’s supporters are aware that going against the party patriarch could mean political suicide because of Sharad Pawar’s ability to sway the public mood,” said a senior NCP leader who requested anonymity. So, the wary NCP MLAs have pressed Ajit to somehow get Sharad Pawar’s blessings.
Why Shinde Govt. would fall?

What basis can SC change its ruling? Governor has to call for proving majority

Word on the street was Atique Ahmed was talking and it was not going to be good for:
a) UP political parties
b)Punjab arms suppliers
c)sleeper cells in UP/Bihar/Delhi
d)cross border supporters
e)All of the above

What I do not understand is why the police has to leak what is being reveled in the interrogations!!
If it was not leaked by the police sources, why dont they say that what is being said is not from their sources??

Cause who hired and recruited the Police , Yogi can't fire all of them and have new force, he has to work with what he has and slowly develop a better force.

Sometimes people here are either naive or mischievous, in thier personal lives I request them to
1. If they are in a job to quit and start a business or atleast stop all existing processes and start new processes which can bring 50% more profit for you company from tomorrow
2. If they re in a business try and fire existing staff and hire completely new staff amd train them

This is what your expectations are for others.

That is obvious, UP police force has been considered incompetent and was deliberately kept so for soo many years.

Yogi has no magic wand to make suddenly competent, he obviously cannot publicly air his frustration as that would affect Police and public morale.

There seems to be more than what meets the eye in the Atiq Ahmed killing case: Here is what police are indicating

https://www.opindia.com/2023/04/more-th ... se-police/

Speaking to OpIndia, 3 highly placed police officials expressed similar sentiments. They said, “Atiq Ahmed was being interrogated and revealing many things. Only days ago, he had revealed his connection to ISI and Pakistan. It is a known fact in Allahabad that Atiq Ahmed had deep links with several politicians. The mafia in Uttar Pradesh basically starts with Atiq and ends with Atiq and after the encounter of his son, he was revealing everything because he was scared of his own fate. Why would the state want to finish its biggest asset in this case given that our instruction was to ensure we get him to talk so we can finish the mafia raj in Uttar Pradesh from its roots”.

It is pertinent to note that the Uttar Pradesh Police had made several revelations about the connection of Atiq Ahmed and his mafia syndicate. It was revealed that they had connections with the underworld and that Dawood Ibrahim’s network was used to deliver weapons to Atiq Ahmed.

According to reports, Atiq Ahmed came in contact with the D-Company through former Mau MLA and mafia Mukhtar Ansari who was, last year, convicted and sentenced to 10 years in jail in the 1996 gangster case. Atiq Ahmed reportedly admitted during questioning that gangster Mukhtar Ansari had assisted him in getting in touch with the D gang.

Atiq and his brother Ashraf got along well with Abu Salem, a don for D Gang. After the Umesh Pal murder case, Asad, who was running from one city to another, was asked to come to Pune and then to Nashik by Abu Salem’s aides. A former MP is also alleged to have assisted in keeping Asad and the shooter Ghulam hidden in Pune, in addition to Abu Salem.

Additionally, Atiq reportedly admitted during interrogation that Dawood’s aide Abu Salem’s henchmen provided shelter and money to his son Asad Ahmed and gunman Mohammad Ghulam, who was killed in a police encounter at Jhansi.

Unlike in a business, Yogiji does not have the power to sack even a police constable in UP, for mere incompetence.

The state security forces and administrative structure that YA was forced to inherit was already pre packed with people from specific castes that was done by prior CMs when they saw the opportunity to game the system.

that biased infrastructure continues to operate unchallenged todate. This infrastructure is instrumental in styming, amplifying, negating, boosting, diverting, multiplying or subverting all of YA's social, political and cultural initiatives

there is no doubt that this killing was a programmed hit and significant parts of the law and order machinery are deeply complicit.

biased bulk recruitment in the past from specific caste based catchment pools was the way to ensure that the strategic dominance of power is spread across the political bandwidth and percolates seamlessly across geographies from urban to rural ecosystems, ensuring financial, social, administrative, political, media and judicial muscle is deployed effectively ensuring tactical efficacy in governance to favor or placate chosen sections of the society.

This makes for the easy entry of ISI modules and pak based jihadi outfits that have their own agenda to run in communally sensitive states like UP, bihar, TN, Guj and bengal

From where would three gavar louts from the footpaths have got their hands on Zigana pistols which are polymer-frame pistols manufactured in Turkey. They are banned in India, and cost about Rs six to seven lakh

How Atiq's key vote in 2008 helped save UPA govt
Kishor Dwivedi, April 16, 2023

Six criminal-politicians, including Atiq Ahmad who was shot dead Saturday, were furloughed from different jails in just 48 hours with little fanfare in 2008, with a book on 'Baahubalis' claiming their votes were crucial to save the embattled United Progressive Alliance government and India's civil nuclear deal with the United States.
The Opposition had brought a no-confidence motion against the Manmohan Singh dispensation and at stake was his UPA government and the nuclear deal.
Among these six legislators, who collectively had over 100 criminal cases against their names, was the then Samajwadi Party's Lok Sabha MP Atiq Ahmad, who represented Allahabad's (now Prayagraj) Phulpur constituency.
The book -- Baahubalis of Indian Politics: From Bullet to Ballot -- authored by Rajesh Singh and published by Rupa Publications mentions how the gangster-politician had the distinction of being one of the musclemen who saved the UPA government from a collapse.
The Left parties had withdrawn their outside support to the regime in mid-2008 over the government's decision to proceed with a civil nuclear deal.
'The UPA had 228 members in the Lok Sabha and was short of 44 seats for a simple majority to overcome the crisis of confidence. Prime Minister Singh, however, expressed confidence that he would survive. It soon became evident as to where that confidence came from,' Singh writes.
He notes that the Samajwadi Party extended support, as did Ajit Singh's Rashtriya Lok Dal and Deve Gowda's Janata Dal-Secular to the UPA while there were others, including the 'Baahubali netas', who did their bit.
'Forty-eight hours before the vote and with little fanfare, the government furloughed six of the nation's most prominent suspected lawbreakers -- collectively facing over 100 cases of kidnapping, murder, extortion, arson and more -- so that they could fulfil their constitutional duties as lawmakers,' the book states.
'One among them was Ateeq Ahmed (sic), a Samajwadi Party lawmaker from Uttar Pradesh, with a conspicuous handlebar moustache and a penchant for safari suits. He dutifully cast his precious vote, no doubt in favour of the beleaguered UPA. The don had, by then, established himself in both politics and crime,' according to the book.He was a five-time MLA from Uttar Pradesh, having forayed into electoral politics successfully in 1989.He became a member of the Lok Sabha in 2004 elected on a Samajwadi Party ticket, though, less than five years later, the party would expel him on grounds of his criminal record.

Thanks g.sarkar!

From Wiki: "In the 543 member Lok Sabha, the UPA needed 272 votes for the government to enjoy a simple majority. The UPA won the confidence vote with 275 votes to the opposition's 256, (10 members abstained from the vote) to record a 19-vote victory"

So, the 6 votes from the prisoners made a difference between winning & losing the no-confidence motion!

What sort of system do we live in, where a prisoner, who is arrested on criminal charges, can vote in the Parliament on a no-confidence motion! The depths to which we sank from 2004-2014 is hard to fathom. Its a surprise we even survived as a nation. Thanks to the millions of morons who voted out Vajpayee in 2004 & who re-elected Mouse Singh in 2009 despite 26/11

This incident also indicates how much quid-pro-quo Atiq would have demanded & gotten, in exchange for his crucial vote. So, when he started singing, the C-system would have wet their pants

i do not know whether this is the correct thread for this post, still tangentially related

first off:
now in the backdrop, the us has been on record stating several times that rights of the crotch-first, connoisseurs of erotic play is at the heart of their policy for the world, we have

1. https://www.axios.com/2022/06/17/blinke ... btq-rights
Secretary of State Antony Blinken said in an interview with Politico Thursday that he raises LGBTQ+ rights in meetings with Saudi officials "invariably, in every conversation," but stood by President Biden's planned July visit to Saudi Arabia.

Why it matters: The kingdom has criminalized same-sex sexual activity, which can carry the death penalty, and sets a range of severe restrictions on LGBTQ+ rights.

What he's saying: In discussions of LGBTQ+ rights with Saudi Arabia's Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan Al-Saud, "we have real engagement," Blinken told Politico.

But America's foreign policy does not only encompass human rights, he added. "Everything has to be reflected in what we do."
"We were determined from day one to recalibrate the relationship: not rupture, recalibrate."

2. the president of uganda and indeed its entire parliament beseeching the world to save them form the us enforced tyranny of the recognition of such rights

the parliament passing a bill criminalising such self-identification

the us response has been strict, also helps that uganda is now sitting on a newly identified goldmine that would essentially double the worlds gold availability, it is that large, naturally uganda is thinking of roping in china to do the mining, because chances are good that their people might find themselves in need of freedom and democracy

3. the latest news from japan
https://www.asahi.com/ajw/articles/14882899
U.S. Ambassador to Japan Rahm Emanuel said there is no difference between same-sex marriage and heterosexual marriage, and that Japan should properly acknowledge any relationship between two people in love.

There is only “marriage,” Emanuel said in a speech on April 10 at a meeting held by Naigai Josei Chosa Kai (Research Institute of Japan) in Tokyo.

When asked about stances of the government and the ruling Liberal Democratic Party toward sexual minorities, Emanuel only said the Japanese Constitution clearly addresses discrimination, and that Japan is a nation that opposes discrimination.

In response to a question from the media, Emanuel said that speaking and taking action for LGBTQ people is a clear policy of U.S. President Joe Biden.

He said defending this policy is part of the path he should take as an ambassador.
4. so in this context we arrive at the main point of the post, the statement from the goi
https://www.ndtv.com/india-news/urban-e ... _topscroll
Calling marriage an "exclusively heterogenous institution", the Centre today again opposed granting legal sanction to same-sex marriage, and said the question of considering it equal to the existing concept of marriage "seriously affects the interests of every citizen". A court order recognising same-sex marriages would mean a virtual judicial rewriting of an entire branch of law, the government argued, adding that the Court must refrain from passing such "omnibus orders".
It's not discrimination to grant recognition to the "heterogenous institution of marriage alone" to the exclusion of same-sex marriage, the government argued, saying that this is because conventional and universally accepted socio-legal relationships like marriages across all religions, are "deeply rooted in the Indian social context and indeed is considered a sacrament in all branches of Hindu law. Even in Islam, though it is a contract, it is a sacred contract and a valid marriage is only between a biological male and a biological woman".

Calling the petitions "mere urban elitist views for the purpose of social acceptance," the Centre in its submission to the top court said that the Parliament will have to take into account "broader views and voices of all rural, semi-rural and urban populations, views of religious denominations keeping in mind personal laws as well, and customs governing the field of marriage together with its inevitable cascading effects on several other statutes.

A five-judge Constitution bench of the Supreme Court comprising Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud, and Justices SK Kaul, Ravindra Bhat, Hima Kohli, and PS Narasimha, is set to hear a clutch of petitions seeking legal recognition for same-sex marriages on Tuesday.
seeing that the new us amby is on the way, would it be fair to say that he would inevitably step in this debate?

Massa is bypassing Indian parliament with help of puppet NGOs and getting laws enacted directly by the courts, showing middle finger to Modi. Who gave judges the authority to create any law that they want on such momentous issues, after hearing a couple of NGOs funded by Whites? Suddenly, the strategy behind creation of the unaccountable collegium to appoint judges begins to make sense.

matters are further complicated in India by the juvenile justice (JJ) Act where some restrictions are enforced on males adopting female children.

This is a woke effort to directly target the family system that is prevalent in many cultures, especially India where the family system is the acknowledged cornerstone of the well established civilizational ethos and socio cultural support system that has withstood the test of time for centuries past.

Sounds like BS. Most of these "admissions"/"revelations" were already common knowledge. And if all this was such precious information, no police official would talk freely about it even after the shooting. The guys who are mentioned - Ansari, Salem, Dawood - are already in prison, on the run, or dead.

This is such a great observation. MAD knows it too. We only care for money, opportunities and going abroad other than going to Tirupati and donating money.

The eco system is full of people who spread the hatred against Hindus day in and day out.

One of my friends listen to Prof. K Nageshwar in youtube. He is a left intellectual who berates BJP/RSS/Modi day in and day out spewing pessimism and criticism against India and RW. For the first time, I heard him talking about how India is now developing and optimistic future. No credit for Modi but at least some positive change.

Now youtube has so many neutral and RW channels. I also saw a change in my friends. Hope it continues.

I am beginning to think that the opposition has totally lost its mind. The more these clowns issue statements about this murder. The more they are pushing swing voters to the BJP at least in UP.

Even in the rest of the country, only the wokest of woke will be swayed to vote against the BJP. But the BJP was anyway not getting those votes.

Lets cancel all women's quotas in Legislatures, Colleges and other jobs. This fella is totally Soreass candidate
saar,

If god given gender can be wokely ruled as legally fluid, (or not absolute) then why not fluid caste, and fluid religion, thus junking the entire caste based reservation system and preference to "minorities"

Also, must the entire existing lexicon of abuse also change, making things very confusing onlee

choice terminology and satisfying articulation when unloading on miscreants who have offended oneself, especially in the wondrously expressive, amazingly constructed phraseology, and striking syntax, leading to soul fulfilling gratification when using languages like punjabi, tamil, and telugu et al

and perhaps, the only thing that is absolute is Absolute Vodka

Times of India, whose owner is an intellectually lightweight mercenary charlatan, is running a vigorous campaign in support of same-sex marriage. So foreign-funded NGOs plus compromised media plus obliging judges enamored of Harvard ... the Whites have everything sorted to get laws made in India bypassing Modi government. They are trying to cause social destabilization in India. Just check the laws made by judges in last 10 years -- all are an assault on Hindu social structure, religious traditions, and institution of marriage.

CJI MoonBeam slept in biology class and majored in psychology.
Biology says male species have x-y chromosomes and females have x-x chromosomes.
He is confusing sex with gender.
TGerrible to be in a position with such confusion and worse arguing and showing his ignorance.
Some one posted a picture of a transgender Moonbeam. Now he can use those special bathrooms he created in SC.

Meanwhile, back at the ranch.......

what's so important about atiq-ashraf deaths that the SC has to take notice and the petition was filed by "advocate Vishal Tiwari".

wonder who the puppet master is

or has another toolkit come into play with a SC monitored inquiry into the shooting

SC accepts plea seeking probe into Atiq-Ashraf deaths

The SG should project in court the American documentary "What is a Woman" by Matt Walsh.

i think GOI must put an end to this woke nonsense .. i think legalizing homosexuality and same sex marriage is fine... but thats where lines must be drawn and we must not let the country get bogged down into gender fluid nonsense...
