Pasha should be awarded for exposing the Cheap Chinese batteries used in the drones.
Inspector Sadiq Pasha lodges FIR on his own against defence company and harasses its employees after drone lands in Muslim-majority area: Here is what Karnataka HC ruled in its interim order
https://www.opindia.com/2026/02/karnata ... a-details/

Drone landed in residential area due to low visibility
On 29th January 2026, the New Space Research and Technologies Private Limited was conducting routine research and development testing within the leased premises, when a lightweight research drone suffered a battery malfunction. Due to this, the drone glided beyond the leased premises and landed in Bengaluru’s Doddaballapura ‘Muslim area‘ . The centrally regulated company could not initially trace the drone due to a poor Global Positioning System (GPS) signal. The company officials did not undertake an immediate search activity since it was dark.

Later, the police arrived there after receiving information via the 112-emergency helpline, and took the drone into possession.

Inspector Sadiq Pasha registered a suo motu FIR, made drone company officials sit for six hours, refused to give FIR copy
After confiscating the drone, Inspector Sadiq Pasha registered a suo motu FIR against “unknown” persons under Sections 125 (an act endangering life or personal safety of others) and 329(3) (criminal trespass) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.. The police served a notice to the drone company officials on 30th January. The officials from the New Space Research and Technologies Private Limited arrived at the police station and explained to the police the circumstances leading to the drone landing in a residential area.

They also informed the police that New Space Research and Technologies Private Limited is a licensed drone research and training agency operating under the control of the Director General of Civil Aviation, adding that testing is a legally allowed activity under the Drones Rules, 2021 and other relevant laws.

However, Inspector Sadiq Pasha violated a basic procedural requirement and refused to hand the copy of the FIR to the officials of the petitioner drone company. The police contended that since the drone landed on private land, it was perceived to be endangering life and physical safety.

Inspector Sadiq Pasha, who reportedly holds a law degree, argued that only the informant was entitled to receive the FIR copy.

However, the FIR copy was given only after the company’s counsel said that they would file a complaint with the Lokayukta.

During the court hearing, the counsel appearing for Newspace Research and Technologies said that the drone in question weighed 6kg and was powered by a Chinese battery.

The counsel informed the court that the drone company supplies equipment to the Indian Army, adding that the drone in question was also showcased during the recent Republic Day parade.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c2lrn8q2q24o

India has introduced new rules that make it mandatory for social media companies to remove unlawful material within three hours of being notified, in a sharp tightening of the existing 36-hour deadline.

The amended guidelines will take effect from 20 February and apply to major platforms including Meta, YouTube and X. They will also apply to AI-generated content.

The government did not provide a reason for reducing the takedown window.

But critics worry the move is part of a broader tightening of oversight of online content and could lead to censorship in the world's largest democracy with more than a billion internet users

In recent years, Indian authorities have used existing Information Technology rules to order social media platforms to remove content deemed illegal under laws dealing with national security and public order. Experts say they give authorities wide-ranging power over social media content.

According to transparency reports, more than 28,000 URLs or web links were blocked, external in 2024 following government requests.

The BBC has contacted the ministry of electronics and information technology for comment on the latest changes. Meta declined to respond to the amendments. The BBC has also approached X and Google, which owns YouTube, for a response.

The amendments also introduce new rules for AI-generated content.

For the first time, the law defines AI-generated material, including audio and video that has been created or altered to look real, such as deepfakes. Ordinary editing, accessibility features and genuine educational or design work are excluded.

The rules mandate that platforms that allow users to create or share such material must clearly label it. Where possible, they must also add permanent markers to help trace where it came from.

Companies will not be allowed to remove these labels once they are added. They must also use automated tools to detect and prevent illegal AI content, including deceptive or non-consensual material, false documents, child sexual abuse material, explosives-related content and impersonation.

While the world watches Dhaka’s regime shift, a serious consolidation has emerged along India’s eastern frontier.

In Bangladesh’s 2026 elections, 68 seats across border districts have gone to Jamaat-e-Islami, forming a continuous arc from Satkhira to Rangpur, directly opposite West Bengal’s sensitive border belt.

The Siliguri Corridor remains India’s strategic lifeline to the Northeast. Any ideological consolidation along this stretch demands heightened vigilance and robust border infrastructure.

Yet on the Indian side, the TMC Government has repeatedly failed to fully cooperate on land acquisition for BSF border fencing.

Even the Hon’ble Calcutta High Court had directed the State Government to facilitate and hand over land required for border fencing underscoring that national security cannot be held hostage to administrative delay.

At a time of shifting geopolitical realities, West Bengal needs:

-Full cooperation with BSF
-Time-bound completion of border fencing
-Zero tolerance for infiltration
-Governance driven by security, not vote-bank politics

Only a BJP Government in West Bengal Only a Double-Engine Sarkar can secure Bengal’s borders. Warning bells have been rung. Any other eventuality in 2026, coupled with the rise of radical elements across the border, will accelerate illegal immigration and the concept of a "Greater Bangladesh."

West Bengal’s security is India’s security.

The Hindustan Times reports, using unnamed sources:

Delhi on high alert over LeT's terror plan to 'avenge' Pak mosque blast, temple near Red Fort on hitlist

Sources reportedly indicated that the outfit is allegedly seeking to avenge a February 6 blast at a mosque in Islamabad, Pakistan.

https://www.hindustantimes.com/india-ne ... 54914.html
A terror alert has reportedly been sounded for Delhi over threat of attack plans by Pakistan-based terrorist outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) targeting religious places, particularly a temple near Red Fort, to “avenge” a recent blast in Islamabad.

At least two senior Delhi Police officers, who asked not to be identified, told HT that the first set of inputs regarding terror attacks by LeT in Delhi, especially at religious places, were received before the Republic Day celebrations. Accordingly, high alert was sounded across the city and security arrangements in and around religious establishments were increased. The first meeting of special cell officers happened around the time the terror attack alerts were received, planning the security apparatus and other anti-terror measures to tackle possible attacks.

The officers said that similar terror attack threat inputs were received after the February 6 suicide bombing attack in a Shia mosque in Pakistan’s Islamabad that claimed at least 31 people and left dozens injured.

Meanwhile, specific intelligence inputs, reported by ANI and PTI news agencies on Saturday, suggested that the group may be plotting an improvised explosive device (IED) attack and that a temple in the Chandni Chowk area could be a potential target.

India Today reports

2 IEDs found in Punjab and Kashmir after Lashkar Delhi terror plot warning
The development comes on the heels of security agencies warning of a possible terror plot by Pakistan-based Lashkar targeting religious and tourist spots in Delhi.

https://www.indiatoday.in/india/story/p ... 2026-02-21
Two IEDs were found in Punjab and Kashmir as security agencies sounded a high alert, warning of a possible terror attack by Pakistan-based outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) in Delhi. While authorities have not linked the IED recovery to the terror plot warning, the timing of the incidents has raised concern.

In Punjab, an IED was found in a suspicious bag near the Rayya police post in Amritsar on Friday. Police said the bomb disposal squad was rushed to the spot and the IED was diffused.

....
The same day, another IED was found at Safapora in Kashmir's Ganderbal district. The bomb detection squad (BDS) of the army and J&K police detected the IED and defused it within hours.

It is the third IED detected during the last week in North Kashmir. On Thursday, an IED was found on Tangmarag Road and one in Baramulla.
I verified that per the LeT theology, the rewards for martyrdom during Ramadan are multiplied over the usual rewards. So I think Indian security needs to be on the watch out for suicide bombers/attackers.

₹70,000 Crore Biryani Billing Scam: How Income Tax Dept Exposed Shocking Nationwide Racket
Income Tax raids that began at a few restaurants in Hyderabad have snowballed into a massive nationwide tax evasion probe, with officials estimating concealed sales of up to ₹70,000 crore since FY20. Investigators analysed nearly 60 terabytes of data spanning six financial years, flagging ₹13,317 crore in suspected post-billing deletions out of ₹2.43 lakh crore in total billing. The probe, which examined 1.77 lakh restaurant IDs using AI tools, uncovered methods such as selective cash invoice deletions and bulk record wipes across multiple states.
