We did much better than India: Pakistan hockey coach
Pakistan hockey coach Khawaja Junaid on Friday rubbed salt into the already beleaguered Indian team's wounds by saying that his players have performed "much better" than their arch rivals in the Olympic Games.

And the Brigadier shall ponder, "What if there was no Football?"“If India has invited Pakistan cricket team for a series at the end of this year and has also invited the national T20 champions Sialkot Stallions for the Champions League then they should also include Pakistan football team in the Nehru Cup,” Nasir told ‘The News’ here in a brief chat.

He said Hindu families were not safe in Pakistan and kidnapping of young Hindu girls and brides at gunpoint by fundamentalists had become a routine affair. “There is no law and order in Sindh and the government is watching the activities of fundamentalists as a mute spectator.”
Kumar said the recent abduction of the teenager in Jacobabad had sparked fear among the minority community, which was now planning an exodus.
He said it was possible that the majority of the delegation members would never like to go back to Pakistan in the prevailing circumstances. He said Hindu girls were being forced to convert to Islam after being abducted.
Madrassa math (& logic) in use here. India won 4 medals, pajiistan won 0. How is that four times more? It should be "Infinte".SBajwa wrote:so by that logic even Afghanistan must be two times bigger than Pakistan as they got 1 bronze medal in Taekwondo.Paki thinking is: "Even though India is 6 times bigger than Pakistan, it only got 4 more medals than us".

Someone should tell this to Gandhi and Nehru -- had they allowed full transfer of population (any sane man would have recommended it), millions of these people would have been spared this suffering. The Pakis did manage to complete the transfer of population after 60 years, but the hard way.Dipanker wrote:Paki-stan is well on its way to become 100% Islamic nation. ISLAMABAD, Aug 10: Army top brass met on Friday amid reports of Pakistan and the United States moving towards enhanced counter-terrorism cooperation following improvement in their relations. The meeting of corps commanders started late in the evening and was expected to continue late into the night. As is the usual practice there was complete silence about the agenda of the conference. The standard statement from military’s public affairs wing, ISPR, said: “The monthly conference would discuss routine professional matters.”However, events preceding the Friday session suggested that the agenda had something extraordinary. It was unusual for Army Chief Gen Ashfaq Parvez Kayani and the Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee to have met President Asif Ali Zardari ahead of the commanders’ conference.
ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari on Friday, by taking serious notice of reports of sense of insecurity among Hindu families in Sindh, directed the concerned authorities to allay the community’s grievances and to submit a report in that regard.Spokesperson to the president Senator Farhatullah Babar said the president also constituted a three member parliamentary committee to visit different parts of the province to express solidarity with Hindus on his and government’s behalf and to reassure them about their security and well being. The committee comprises of Senator Hari Ram, MNA Lal Chand and Federal Minister Moula Bakhsh Chandio.Earlier, some of Hindu pilgrims were stopped after the interior ministry took notice of reports by some media outlets that there was a case of possible migration of various Hindu families from the country fearing persecution and danger to their life and property. the pilgrims were later allowed to cross the border.
Chief Minister Sindh Qaim Ali Shah at least had the decency to respond to the reports by setting up a three-member committee led by Sindh Minister for Minority Affairs Mukesh Kumar Chawla to report back on the issue within a week.. However, the minister has already compromised the credibility of the committee even before it has started its work by stating that the reports of migration are exaggerated and Hindu girls are eloping with Muslim boys of their own free will. The SSP Jacobabad has delivered the priceless comment that security is being provided to the Hindu community. In other words all is well in the best of all possible worlds and the SSP can therefore go back to sleep. But the cake is taken by Interior Minister Rehman Malik. With his usual penchant for a strange and twisted take on most things, the interior minister sees conspiracies under every bed and behind every bush. This migration issue too, according to Rehman Malik’s wisdom, is a conspiracy involving the Indian High Commission for issuing visas for India to 250 Hindu citizens of Pakistan, ostensibly for religious pilgrimage.
Interviews in the press with some of the departing Hindu families in Lahore, en route to Wagah, reveal a mixed picture. Some interviewees were quite candid that their lives had been turned into a living hell because of insecurity, and although they were travelling to India for a religious pilgrimage, might decide to stay on there if they found it convivial. Others were at pains to deny any intent to migrate. Those in the latter category may not have been speaking from the heart, or at least been cautious so as not to make matters for those staying behind even worse. Reports indicate that the 60 families who have torn themselves away from their and their forefathers’ homeland may only be the tip of the iceberg, or a possible tidal wave to follow.
Ironically, while tearful relatives were bidding goodbye to the families leaving from the Lahore Railway Station, Pakistan’s ambassador to the US was reassuring an American audience that Pakistan protects the rights of religious minorities. On the very same day, President Asif Ali Zardari was speaking at a commemoration of National Minorities Day, declared on every August 11 in recognition of the message in the Quaid’s speech to the constituent assembly in 1947. The president stated that misuse of the blasphemy law would not be allowed. Both Ambassador Rehman and President Zardari’s statements are well intentioned and reflect the best of principles, but with due respect, they are divorced from our ground realities. Four decades of promotion of religious extremism in the name of jihad are now bearing their over-ripe malign fruit. Pakistani society today is riven with intolerance, religious prejudice and violence against religious minorities

Girl’s uncle, Sanjay Singh, told Geo News, from the way her voice wavered on the telephone, it appeared as if she was saying all this under pressure.“She sounded scared on the phone, it’s not what it seems, there were people around her dictating her, we could hear their giving her instructions”, said Sanjay.Meanwhile, vowing to recover her before long, SSP Jacobabad said that police were hot on trail of her alleged abductors.Sindh has a sizeable population of Hindus, who are the largest minority community in Pakistan.
Unfortunately, that also translates into India got infinite times more medals than Pakistan in the Olympics this year since Pakis got a grand total of 0.Victor wrote:Paki thinking is: "Even though India is 6 times bigger than Pakistan, it only got 4 more medals than us".
Ya Allah. Why have YOU been always cruel to Pakistan, the only country created on the basis of Islam ?Physically feeble players
If you closely observe the players of other teams, it was very much evident that Pakistani players seemed physically more feeble and malnourished as if the team has not been fed with quality food for so long.
No one except the captain seemed physically fit for the match. The physical strength seemed to be lacking in the team. Players of other teams were concentrating on the game whereas our players were busy making sure that each time they run with the ball they can at least reach the circle of the goalpost because of their shortness in breathing due to inadequate physical fitness.
Forget about scoring goals for the moment. Of course, the physical strength gives psychological strength in any game. The Pakistan Hockey Federation, as well as the government, has to make sure that our players are physically fit and are at least of equal strength to players of other teams.
Or the PHF can hire a good body-building coach and a nutritionist for our team so that at least our team can perform better in the upcoming championships.
Gang-Ra*ed in two police station. This nation is truly inhabited by pigs.Sonia, who was taken to Darul-ul-Aman in Abbottabad on August 5 after being arrested by the Mansehra Police while wandering alone, recorded her statement before a judge. According to the police, Sonia, 16, belonged to Haripur and was living with her aunt in Karachi. She told the judge that she had fallen in love with one Mohammad Adil and left her aunt’s home to marry him.
She said they came to Mansehra and were staying at a hotel there, but Adil left her after three days and the police arrested her. She alleged the cops took her to the City Police Station where they raped her.
The victim girl said she was later shifted to the Kaghan Police Station where she was also gang-raped by the cops. “I don’t know the names of the police officials who raped me at both the police stations but I can recognise them if they are produced in front of me,” Sonia told the judge.

Pak Taliban threaten to attack Myanmar over Rohingya Muslims
PTI | Jul 26, 2012, 07.47PM IST
ISLAMABAD: The Pakistani Taliban today threatened that they would attack Myanmar to avenge the targeting of Rohingya Muslims if Islamabad does not cut off ties with the government of that country and shut its embassy here. The banned Tehrik-e-Taliban (TTP) sought to portray itself as a defender of Muslims in Myanmar and said in a statement that "we will take revenge of your blood".
Taliban spokesman Ehsanullah Ehsan demanded that the Pakistani government cut off relations with Myanmar and close down its embassy in Islamabad. "Otherwise we will not only attack Burmese interests anywhere but will also attack the Pakistani ( friends) of Burma," Ehsan said in a statement.
There was no word from the Myanmar embassy and its officials could not be reached for comment.
This was probably the first time that the TTP has commented on an issue that is not related to Pakistan and Afghanistan.
Experts questioned its capability to carry out strikes in Myanmar.
However, the TTP was linked to a botched car bomb attack in Times Square in New York by Pakistani-American terrorist Faisal Shahzad in 2010.

In a massive blow, the leading donor for the Bhasha Dam, the Manila-based Asian Development Bank (ADB) has informally reversed its commitment to finance the project
This has left Pakistan in the lurch
“It was evident from the tone of Mr Klaus that there was a change in the ADB’s stance and that for now the bank was not ready to support the construction of the dam,”
both the ADB’s president and the director general for central and west Asia appeared to be unsympathetic towards financing the project
Diamer-Bhasha Dam has become an issue of life and death for 180 million people of Pakistan
And a further loss to their HS&D:massive $12 billion for the dam
Earlier, the World Bank (WB) had also brazenly refused to fund the project saying the site of the proposed project is in the disputed territory of Gilgit-Baltistan
The bank later linked its willingness to fund the project in case Pakistan gets a no objection certificate from India
The ADB has let Pakistan down and wasted crucial four years of the country in implementation of the project.
Muuaahahahahaha!! Damn those injuns!Chairman of the executing agency of Diamer-Basha Dam Project, Wapda, ....requested the government to approach the time-tested friend China for financing the project
