Northern Iraq’s Zap and Hakurk areas: Ankara knows well that when the adversary is the PKK, public support for cross-border operations never drops below 70%. Ankara was able to persuade the public that Operation Euphrates Shield was a successful ongoing effort for nine months and avoided angry public reactions to Turkish casualties. Erdogan and his government know that the cross-border operations dilute criticism against them. In other words, launching an operation far from the interests of the United States and Russia that directly targets the PKK may yield plenty of benefits.
That is why it won’t come as a surprise if Turkey launches a medium-scale cross-border operation of, say, 10,000 troops with the support of Barzani's peshmerga against the PKK at Avasin-Basyan, Zap or Hakurk areas close to the Iraq-Turkey border.

Why would Assad regime jeopardize their wins so far by launching a gas attack?
Most likely they found the source of previous gas used by rebels and struck the warehouse.
There are twitter reports of US troop carriers en route to the area.

There is actually one Republican senator who went on CNN and "stunned" the airhead there by asking precisely that common-sense question. The "rebels" are unravelling all over Syria - WTF would Assad want to use nerve gas against civilians at this juncture of the war? But no one is listening.
Last chance for the Deep State/ western/Saudi combine to keep their Moderate Terrorists alive. The Assad/Putin combine is rolling into Idlib. It's a pretty determined plot this time to attack Syria. The gas was most probably placed there to achiever precisely this result.
ISIS did that to the US air raids over Mosul. Sarin is much more effective.

Bigger goal is to prevent Puteen and China combination.

Terrorists' best hope of stopping air raids is this, hey? That would explain the chorus at the UN. Otherwise the Moderate Rebels have only days to live. See the quality of western media access immediately after the raids - these ******** are cynical enough to plan something like this.
Question is whether China vetoes UNSC plots by US-Poodle, and then if there is Unilateral Action, will that unite Hu and Putin to coordinate some interesting actions? Like South China Sea + Moldavia/Ukraine.

Wheather Assad stays or goes wont change the situation in Syria , The Irans , Iraq and Shia wont let Syria go of their hands and in the end its more of a Shia versus Sunni fight where Assad is just a figure head
They probably have a Plan B for Assad long time back and if Assad gets bumped out they will replace him with some one.
Even the previous Senate hearing the US Armed forces chief has acknowledged that.

The last statemement from China on this attack was each incident needs to be seperately investigated and all the attack culprit past or present need to be brought to justice.
That does not say much but likely China will veto any resolution that comes
China supports comprehensive, fair probe into use of chemicals as weapons in Syria: envoy
http://en.people.cn/n3/2017/0406/c90000-9199317.html
UNITED NATIONS, April 5 (Xinhua) -- China supports the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) and related UN entities in carrying out comprehensive, objective and fair investigations into uses of chemicals as weapons in Syria, said a Chinese envoy here on Wednesday.
Liu Jieyi, China's permanent representative to the UN, made the remarks at a Security Council emergency meeting on alleged chemical weapon attack in Syria.
It is reported that at least 70 people were killed, 200 others were wounded Tuesday in a gas attack in a rebel-held area in Syria's northwestern province of Idlib.
Liu said that China is "profoundly shocked" by the suspected use of chemicals as weapons which has resulted in enormous civilian casualties.
He said there have been several cases of use of chemicals as weapons in Syria, and therefore China supports OPCW in conducting the probes into all cases so as to reach conclusions based on substantive evidence that can "stand the test of time and facts."
"China firmly opposes the use of chemicals as weapons by any country, any organization or any person under any circumstances," said Liu. "We strongly condemn any attacks against civilians."
"It is essential to hold to account all the related perpetrators and responsible parties in cases of chemical weapons," he added.
Liu also reiterated that political settlement is the only way out of the Syrian question.
"It is the hope of China that all the parties will create conditions for the political settlement rather than creating trouble or difficulties," he said.
The 15-nation council is working on a draft resolution which asks for an inquiry into the alleged attack.
However, due to disagreements among Security Council members, more time is needed for negotiations on the text before it is put to a vote.

I guess for the same reason why Stunning is better than Hallal both kills.
If US attacks Assad and may be some of the stray missile hit Russian facility and cause casualty , It would be good for Putin in election year, May be a small Thank You from DT to Putin that he helped him win election in November

The intent. Thats what.
In legal terms it is called mens rea.
"the intention or knowledge of wrongdoing that constitutes part of a crime, as opposed to the action or conduct of the accused."

What happens if Putin draws the line and says US planes will be attacked with missiles? H&D demands a huge HARM strike against the S-400 defenses plus F-22 strikes to wipe out the RuAF plus ALCM strikes on the Russian ships in the Med/Black Sea. All of which I think USAF/USN can accomplish, but with what consequences? I would think Ukraine and Moldavia will become like Syria in short order.
And the ISIS will still happily inflate their VBIEDs against any US ground forces seen in the area. BUT... hey! Being put in a cage on the roof of buildings by the ISIS, or being drowned in said cages, or watching one's family raped and tortured to death with genital mutlations etc, or being driven in chains through the desert as sex slaves, is sooooooooo much better "intent" and soooo much kinder on the Syrians than a bomb that destroys a nerve gas storage dump before the area is freed from the US-paid, US-trained, US-lied Moderate Islamists.

Erdogan has a problem with Kurds flying their flags in Iraq too.
Turkey's Erdogan calls on Iraqi Kurds to lower Kurdish flag in Kirkuk
Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan on Tuesday called on Iraqi Kurds to lower the Kurdish flag in the northern Iraqi city of Kirkuk, warning that failure to do so would damage their relations with Turkey.
Kirkuk, one of Iraq's disputed territories, has Kurdish, Arab, and Turkmen populations. Kurdish peshmerga forces took control of it in 2014 when Islamic State overran around a third of Iraq and the army's northern divisions disintegrated.

Donald Trump ‘considering military action’ in Syria following suspected chemical attack by Assad.
There were no translators between Tillerson and Erdogan. Is it possible that this new chemical weapons drama is being staged by US-Turkey combine to convince public opinion in western cities against Assad and allow Trump to militarily intervene in Syria?!
Amazing.

US Sen. Lindsey Graham on Fox news was suggesting attacking Syrian Air force and Bill O'Reilly was nodding. Lou Dobbs from Fox Business news disagreed as that would bring Russia into hostilities and upset the Trump agenda.
O'Reilly then said why not give advance notice to Russia to get out of the way!!!
