Tanaji saar,
There are some books referring to this matter (sanjay baru's accidental PM, for instance) but look for books that mention Operation Meghdoot
A short-range air defense (SHORAD) vehicle that can be loaded with up to 96 small interceptors at a time has been spotted amid ongoing preparations for a huge Chinese military parade in the country’s capital, Beijing, next week. Referred to as the FK-3000, the self-contained system was developed with a particular eye toward offering mobile point defense against waves of incoming drones.
The FK-3000 was developed by the state-run China Aerospace Science and Industry Corporation (CASIC) and first emerged publicly at the Zhuhai Air Show in 2022. The extent to which the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) may have now fielded it, and whether it has been assigned a new designation in the process, is unknown.

Possible, yes. Probable, perhaps. Saleable, unlikely - unless you have a bakra like bakistan.

"Even if the US government gains fiscally and creates more job opportunities for some Americans—assuming those goals are partly achieved—the damage to American businesses would far outweigh any benefits," Lü said.
The real loss will be for US tech companies—both giants and startups—which rely heavily on foreign talent, especially in their early stages when they can't afford higher-cost domestic hires, the expert said.

The 19th Century was particularly cataclysmic for China due both to internal and external circumstances. Great rebellions, like the ‘Taiping’, and even greater assaults by western ‘barbarian’ powers made it very difficult for the Qing dynasty, in total contrast to the military successes of the previous century. But, the greatest debacle was yet to happen in 1894-1895 when the Japanese military defeated China comprehensively both in land and on the sea. As a result, China ceded large parts of Manchuria and Shandong, conceded Taiwan, and lost control of Korea – all to Japan. It was the final sea battle at Wei Hai Wei that decisively sealed the fate of Qing China and set off a chain of events that continues to echo even today. Here we analyze the event, the consequences, and see what lessons are to be learnt.

There are many in this forum that have issues with Chinese ownership of critical assets overseas, in that they beleive that China then controls them. I personally, remain unhappy with Chinese ownership but firmly beleive that any stategic asset is liable to seizure by the host country, if it feels threatened, ie,
Dutch government takes control of Chinese-owned chipmaker Nexperia
Move escalates frictions between western countries and Beijing over access to high-end technology
"The Dutch government has taken control of Chinese-owned semiconductor maker Nexperia, warning of risks to Europe’s economic security after alleging “serious governance shortcomings” at the company.
"In a statement on Sunday the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs said it acted because of “a threat to the continuity and safeguarding on Dutch and European soil of crucial technological knowledge and capabilities”.
Wingtech said that on September 30 the Dutch government had issued an order requiring Nexperia and its global subsidiaries, branches, and offices not to make any adjustments to their assets, intellectual property, business operations or personnel for one year.
The following day, three top Nexperia executives with Dutch and German nationalities submitted an emergency request to the Amsterdam court of appeal to intervene at the chipmaker. The court immediately suspended the powers of Chinese chief executive Zhang Xuezheng.
The court also suspended Zhang from his positions as executive director of Nexperia and non-executive director of its holding company, Wingtech said.
A week later, on October 7, the court ordered the appointment of an independent, non-Chinese director, who would hold decisive voting power and represent Nexperia.
The court also ordered that all shares in Nexperia — except one — should be placed under custodial management by a designated individual, not yet named, for management purposes, Wingtech said. The company added that it retained the economic rights to all of its shares."

On Wednesday, China submitted a request for consultations with India at the WTO regarding its subsidy measures for EVs and batteries, the MOFCOM spokesperson said.
India's relevant measures are suspected of violating multiple obligations, including national treatment, and constitute import substitution subsidies, which are explicitly prohibited by the WTO, the ministry spokesperson said.
....
Qian Feng, director of the research department at the National Strategy Institute at Tsinghua University, told the Global Times on Wednesday that EVs and batteries are seen as vital components of India's manufacturing strategy as well as a prioritized means for the Indian government to address climate change and extreme weather.
The South Asian country has been stepping up imports of EVs and batteries in recent years for its development, although the overall volume is limited, according to Qian. "However, the main emphasis is placed on developing its own EV industry.

The container ship Istanbul Bridge arrived late on Monday (UK time) at Felixstowe, the UK's largest container port, via the Arctic shipping route, marking the inaugural voyage of the world's first China-Europe Arctic container express route and demonstrating the commercial viability of the northeast passage, state broadcaster CCTV reported.
....
The China-Europe Arctic Express route links a number of major Chinese and European ports, including Ningbo, Shanghai, Qingdao, and Dalian on the Chinese side, and Felixstowe in the UK, Rotterdam in the Netherlands, Hamburg in Germany, and Gdańsk in Poland on the other.
Slashing the shipping period to just 20 days, the route is the fastest container route between major Chinese and European ports, according to CCTV. It was the fastest delivery in the history of container shipping, and the third delivery route between China and Europe.
This compares with traditional routes bypassing the Cape of Good Hope taking about 50 days, and those going through the Suez Canal taking about 40 days and the roughly 25 days needed by the China-Europe Railway Express.
Since the voyage was conducted in an opportune window of time, no icebreaker service was used. As the distance is much shorter, the route also reduces carbon emissions significantly, according to operators.
The opening of this route also demonstrated China's commitment to cooperation and development in Arctic affairs, the CCTV report noted.
In 2018, China released a white paper titled "China's Arctic Policy," saying that China hopes to work with all parties to build a "Polar Silk Road" through developing the Arctic shipping routes.
The significance is that to compete, India needs IMEC ASAP, IMO.

China's state security authorities uncover case of major cyberattack from US NSA employing state-level cyber-espionage weapons targeting ‘Beijing Time’: MSS
China's state security authorities have uncovered a major case of cyberattack from the US, obtaining ironclad evidence that the US National Security Agency had infiltrated China's National Time Service Center under the Chinese Academy of Sciences. The operation has thwarted the US side's attempts to steal state secrets and conduct cyber sabotage, effectively safeguarding the security of "Beijing Time," China's Ministry of State Security (MSS) said in a statement on Sunday.
Located in Xi'an, Northwest China's Shaanxi Province, the National Time Service Center generates, maintains, and broadcasts "Beijing Time." It provides high-precision time services for sectors such as national communications, finance, electric power, transportation, surveying and mapping, and national defense, while also supplying key data for calculating the Coordinated Universal Time (UTC).
The center independently developed a world-leading autonomous time measurement system and built a key national science and technology facility - the High-Accurate Ground-based Time Service System. Damage from a cyberattack could jeopardize the secure and stable operation of "Beijing Time," potentially leading to severe consequences such as network communication failures, financial system disruptions, power outages, transportation paralysis, and aerospace launch. It could even throw global timekeeping into chaos, resulting in incalculable harm and losses.
A meticulous investigation by China's state security authorities found that the US National Security Agency had long planned progressive, systematic cyberattacks against China's National Time Service Center.

US company General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI) has been contracted by the US Navy to develop conceptual designs for a collaborative combat aircraft (CCA) to support the US carrier air wing of tomorrow, Naval News reported on Sunday. A Chinese military affairs expert told the Global Times on Sunday that manned-unmanned teaming is a growing trend, noting that with China recently debuting loyal wingman drones and air superiority drones, China and the US are leaders in this field, which could significantly change the shape of warfare.
CCA is a term used by the US Air Force to describe what was often called loyal wingman drones, and now the US Navy is also ramping up developing CCAs.
CCAs are highly capable, semi-autonomous jet fighters that complement and enhance traditional, human-piloted combat aircraft. Produced in high quantities at comparatively low cost, they let commanders shift risk away from human flight crews, enhance the sensing and other capabilities of legacy aircraft formations, increase lethality of the air wing, and maximize operational flexibility across the board, according to the Naval News report.
The US is not the only country that has been developing CCAs.
During China's V-Day military parade in Beijing on September 3, the PLA unveiled two previously unseen uncrewed combat aerial vehicles (UCAVs) and two CCAs, "highlighting China's continuing investment in uncrewed systems, US media outlet Aviation Week reported at the time.
According to official descriptions provided at the military parade, these aircraft are loyal wingman drones and air superiority drones.

China watchers, any comments on this?
Since 2022, China's land sale revenue has plummeted, dropping from 7.8 trillion yuan in 2019 to a projected 2.26 trillion yuan in 2025, a 71% decline. This collapse, driven by a faltering real estate market and mortgage defaults, has crippled local government finances. Unable to rely on central government subsidies, authorities are shifting to population-based revenue, combining poll taxes via mandatory social security contributions with personal income taxes. Enforced through the hukou system, this "breathing tax" ensures stable revenue but reduces household income, stifling consumption and potentially suppressing population growth. Historically, China moved away from poll taxes through reforms like the Tang Dynasty’s Two-Tax System and Qing Dynasty’s abolition of population-based levies, which spurred population booms. The return of poll taxes signals an economic regression, threatening long-term stability.
China has rapidly taken steps to negate whatsoever disadvantages it has in terms of geography when faced against India. This is just one of the last steps in their puzzle. No doubt it has buried car stores as well.
We are in a for a really tough situation should the balloon go up.

It is funny how despite political turmoil they have upgraded their bases in 5 years while with so called stability we make the most of that time to discuss some more. Plus they need space to park their ever growing aircraft collection! It’s a different story if their pilots are trained well but won’t matter as they have BVR numbers and a secure drone army
I think the new admin might want to target us once they are stable to announce their arrival - Eleven had been aggressive in the eastern sea when he was new

US to cancel 10% so-called ‘fentanyl tariffs,’ suspend 24% reciprocal tariffs against China for a year: MOFCOM
China's Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM) on Thursday unveiled the outcomes achieved by Chinese and US delegations during their recent economic and trade talks in Kuala Lumpur. A spokesperson of the ministry noted that the China-US economic and trade talks in Kuala Lumpur have yielded positive results, demonstrating that by upholding the spirit of equality, respect and mutual benefit, and through dialogue and cooperation, the two sides can find solutions to problems.
According to the MOFCOM, the US side will cancel the 10-percent so-called "fentanyl tariffs" and suspend, for an additional year, the 24-percent reciprocal tariffs levied on Chinese goods, including goods from the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and the Macao Special Administrative Region.
China will make corresponding adjustments to its countermeasures against the aforementioned US tariffs, the spokesperson said, noting that both sides have agreed to continue extending certain tariff exclusion measures.
The US will suspend for one year the implementation of a new rule announced on September 29 that expands its "entity-list" export restrictions to any entity that is at least 50 percent owned by one or more entities on the list. China will suspend the implementation of relevant export control measures announced on October 9 for one year and will study and refine specific plans, the spokesperson said.
The US side will suspend the implementation of measures under its Section 301 investigation targeting China's maritime, logistics and shipbuilding industries for one year. In response, China will correspondingly suspend the implementation of its countermeasures against the US side for one year once the US suspension takes effect, according to the spokesperson.
In addition, the two sides also reached consensus on issues including anti-drug cooperation on fentanyl, expanding agricultural product trade, and the handling of individual cases involving relevant enterprises, according to the spokesperson.
Both sides further confirmed the outcomes of the Madrid economic and trade talks. The US side made positive commitments in areas such as investment, and China will properly resolve issues related to TikTok with the US side.
Noting that the outcomes are hard won, the spokesperson said China looks forward to working with the US side to jointly ensure the implementation of the outcomes, and inject more certainty and stability into bilateral economic and trade cooperation as well as the world's economy.

Western media outlets often frame India's manufacturing drive through a narrow lens of competition with China, overlooking how India's pursuit of industrial self-sufficiency actually opens significant opportunities for China‑India cooperation.
On Wednesday, CNBC reported that "India is dependent on China for electronic components. Now it's trying to change that." The story revealed that in a move aimed at cutting India's import dependency for electronic components, the Indian government this week approved its first seven projects worth $626 million under its $2.7 billion electronic component manufacturing programs.
This zero-sum narrative, which portrays India's efforts to boost manufacturing development as a confrontation with Chinese manufacturing, fundamentally ignores the deep interdependence built into global supply chains. Industrial advancement has always been driven more by collaboration and specialization than by isolation.
Closer China-India supply chain cooperation actually benefits India's push for self-reliant manufacturing. Their complementarities represent an integral dimension of the ongoing transformation within the global manufacturing landscape.
