israel will not get directly involved with the sunni kabila, just provide weapons and technical support, that even NATO is doing . israel might have more humint in the region thats the value add.

turkey will be controlled and managed by russia using carrot and stick approach. unlike israel or saudis, they have the PKK right under their chair and a border with their ancient friends the Armenians
Russia seems to have zero influence on Turkey`s policy. It has already lost respect for its `stick` when it failed to react to Erdogan shooting down the Sukhoi 24 plane. Putin has vacillated on Turkey and has no clue what he is doing.

I disagree with all the above points. Will wait and see 3 more months instead of circular arguments now.
Division17 is highly fortified mil base like ramouseh in aleppo. As its unlikely to have civilians and have a lot of rats...the sdf will look to engage and fix before calling in b52s to uproot the place

Russian insistence that Kurds accept Assad rule was short sighted. That drove the Kurds into US arms.
The Kurds accepting US friendship instead of Russian is even more short sighted. US will use the Kurds against ISIS and Assad but will never help them against NATO ally Turkey.
Russians lost a pawn against Turkey/NATO. Kurds lost Russian friendship.

syrian govt has a multiple ongoing offensives eastward
- sweida region adjacent to jordan border
- south palmyra
- maskaneh plain
- arak east of palmyra [ kind of dormant but this where the main push will come ]
and 5th one has started from the town of salamiyeh on the road to aleppo to clear a region of east homs north of palmyra . this area was the site of a deadly massacre of civilians last month. the syrians can at best put a dozen NDF men and 2 technicals to protect each village ... taking advantage the ISIS crept in and massacred people incl women and children on the streets.
also there was a vbied backed small raid in west aleppo zahraa suburb that KIA 5 troops. this was not followed by any offensive or preceded by any buildup. seems to be a final year practical exam for passout trainees of the daura-e-khaas terror courses being conducted in Idlib under the gurukuls of Alhamma tactical and kavkaz both led by ex-russian army Shishani elements.

Ypg has crossed river near raqqa at one more point and captured the baath dam
RPGs were fired at a tanker in bab el mandab yday. hard to say who did it or why, everyone is packing a RPG in yemen and a AK47 with banana clip inside the dishdasha for backup

as you can see ISIS is only type of tumour. the host (ie earth) is beset with various malignant and mutating viruses that have spread all over now. perhaps only south america and antarctica as a continent remain uninvolved in this - so far. ISIS will be done for in 1 year but something else will emerge in that region...already there signs they are setting up a new shop in Anbar....claims of a attack on PMU convoy on baghdad-samarra road with dozens killed. that type of major attack needs logistics.
as ISIS reduces, AQ rises in power, they are cleverer and more widespread , flying under radar, not holding territory to present fixed targets, formless devils who spread through social media and present no attack surface ... a kind of tandem HEAT warhead...ISIS shocks things and opens a hole for AQ to worm in and do the long term damage

SAA about to start broad push east of the vital khanasser road to aleppo - semi desert lands
23 min isis video showing their men fighting in east homs - the same area where the broad push above will start. they overwhelm some isolated syrian positions in the video ... highly undermanned against raiding units. more like spotters forced to fight.

DAMASCUS, SYRIA (3:00 A.M.) – The Popular Mobilization Units (PMU) are taking a heavy toll on the Islamic State after bringing their desert warfare expertise, commanded by Haider Al-Ameri, to deadly effect in western Nineveh.
Targeting an ISIS-held area south of Al-Ba’aj, the PMU were able to wrestle control over the village of Al-Khibra on Thursday morning. Later on, the Iraqi contingents also took control of the nearby Al-Sakaar housing complex.
Meanwhile, the PMU leadership announced it would start operations to secure the entire border with Syria; if succesful, this major military endeavour would cut the regional caliphate in half and significantly hamper its logistics and maneuverability.
In addition, PMU chief Abu Mahdi Al-Muhandes announced that their forces would handover the entire border region to Syrian and Iraqi border guards once retaken.
With the PMU offensive heading southwards en route to the ISIS stronghold of Al-Qaim, the PMU meanwhile denied it had crossed into Syria and said it was building trenches and barriers along the border to withhold ISIS counter-attacks

Muslim theocracies are loathe to disconnect from the great profit`s ideals. So, Iran cannot/will not normalise its relations with Israel. Israel will defend itself and is a formidable enemy to make. It also has the support of Amreeka. So, there will be no land road from Teheran to Hezbollah.
The Sunni GCC is much smarter. The current king`s predecessors marched on Karbala with 2000 sunni fanatics and killed thousands of Shias in 1802. He destroyed the Karbala mosque and among the things looted were donations that Nadir Shah had made to the mosque, which of course were looted by him in Delhi. The first enemy of GCC is Al-Rafida. The Shias. The hatred is one sided. Iran can do nothing about it.
The stupidity of the Iranians is to have too may enemies. Iran needs to end its own one-sided hatred of the Jews. The Shia crescent will never come to fruition unless Iran makes up with Israel.
Iran needs to make assessment of the type Erdogan did before appointing Yildirim PM. Too many enemies, too few friends. Need to change.

Reports of russians flying more supplies and planes into hymenim again. Two major pushes east are imminent ...east hama to tabqa and palmyra to sukhnah

"We’re defending there [in Syria] not so much President Assad as Syrian statehood," the Russian president said at a panel discussion at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.
"We don’t want a situation to emerge on the territory of Syria comparable with Libya or Somalia or with Afghanistan where there is the need for presence for many years while the situation is not changing for the better," Putin stressed.
Russia wants the preservation of the Syrian statehood to use this as the basis for moving towards the political settlement of the Syrian problem, the Russian leader said.
In response to a question about whether Assad could be considered as an evil man, Putin suggested that this question should be addressed to other leaders who had communicated with the Syrian president.
"He [Assad] visited Europe more frequently than Russia after he was elected," the Russian leader said, explaining his suggestion.
"Did Assad make mistakes? Yes, possibly, and quite a few of them," Putin said. "But the people who oppose him, are they angels or what? I mean, those who kill people, execute children and cut heads off?"
He warned against "labelling" and called for concrete work to pool countries’ efforts in addressing the problem of terrorism.
Putin pointed out that the charges Assad had used chemical weapons were groundless. Moreover, nobody cared to support Russia’s proposal to inspect the places where ostensible chemical weapons were taken on board aircraft or the suspected places of attack "They refused. Nobody wants to," he stated. "There has been much talk, but no action at all."
Putin also said the very instance of elimination of chemical weapons had been confirmed by Damascus.
"Speaking about people, who had been allegedly killed or wounded as a result of the use of (chemical) weapons - this information is false," Putin said speaking at the 2017 Saint Petersburg Economic Forum (SPIEF-2017). "As of today, we are absolutely sure that it simply was an act of provocation."
"(Syrian President Bashar) Assad never used this weapon," the Russian president said. "It had been done by those, who eventually sought accusing him of this act."
According to Putin, Russian intelligence had data that a similar scenario was planned to be used again ‘by them’ in other regions of Syria, including near Damascus.
"We have made this information public," the Russian president said. "Thanks God, those who planned this action, pulled their wits together in time."
Putin reiterated that the chemical weapons were used in Syria by those, who later intended to shift the blame on President Bashar Assad.

100 civilians killed by ISIS snipers in the old city mosul trying to escape yesterday.
iraqis tried to use abrams tank to shield them and get them out, but 100 were mowed down.
ISIS ran from maskaneh once surrounded from 3 sides and given a ultimatum to run or die

the SDF has encircled a 50k pop town Mansoura on opp shore of Raqqa and captured part of it. fierce battle is on at various points in the ring around raqqa as free floating ISIS from the desert try to stage counter attacks.
