Munger district where it happened and these recent arrests of hawala folks.
And what is the motive of the school principal and her kirana store husband to poison school children?
Maybe a new way of terror was being dry-run by Ind Muj operatives thru the school meal system?

This is complete hogwash, these people are simply business people from Jharia/Dhanbad area who will have absolutely nothing to to do with IM/ISI. Business people from this area are generally BJP supporters and nationalists.Anindya wrote:So, the NIA is now back to using the well tried out Aseemanand and Sadhvi Pragya approach to blaming Hindus for the Patna blasts now...
Patna blasts: one more arrested from Dhanbad
Following a tip off from the National Investigation Agency (NIA), the Bihar police have arrested a person, Raju Sao, from Jharkhand's Dhanbad district in connection with the Patna serial blasts, police said on Monday.
Raju Sao was arrested from Jharia in Dhanbad when a Bihar police team conducted raids late on Sunday in search of his brothers Jitendra Sao, Pappu Sao and Bittu Sao, who were not found, a police official said.![]()
"Police have brought Raju Sao to the state's Lakhisarai district for interrogation," a police official said.
Three days ago, the NIA detained six people and seized dozens of bank passbooks, ATM cards and other documents in Lakhisarai, about 150 km from here, during raids at several places in connection with the Oct 27 Patna blasts.
"Four of the six people including Gopal Kumar Goyal, Vikas Kumar, Pawan Kumar and Ganesh Kumar were sent to jail on the charge of providing financial help to terror suspects after they were produced in court," Lakhisarai Superintendent of Police Rajeev Mishra said.
Mishra said police are investigating a possible Pakistan ISI link with the four. But he denied that they had any link with the Indian Mujahideen.![]()

Police teams from Lakhisarai and Munger districts were sent to Dhanbad on the basis of information given by arrested suspect Gopal Kumar Goyal.
There are anti national elements in NIA, who have been trying to do this equal-equal for some time. Such elements need to be identified and exposed.

Re: Internal Security Watch
If they are from Jharia/Dhanbad - they potentially could be knowingly or unknowingly be part of a long standing region wide mafia network, which effectively control everything connected to money and hence to admin and politics. You cannot do any business there without compromising or conceding to them. One of the primary factors in the initial growth of the extreme left was in that area and against the long standing grievances of the lowest of the low. Its the same dynamics that drove the talents of Mumbai underworld, often from "low" economic origins, while the majority of the same "class" bore the consequences and never really benefited as a "class" from the mafias benevolence.
The current mafia actually is a bit cornered in that zone. The "Hindu" portion of the mafia is cornered, and squeezed out by the "Islamic" portion. So what is being seen in the above reports is consistent with what I know of the current scent in that air.

Re: Internal Security Watch
^No not directly related to the ISI or be aware of the connection. there are two possibilities - these are peripheral foot-soldiers of a previously largely Hindu dominated mafia, now being taken over at the upper levels by the islamists. The upper echelons would have the ISI connections. That need not trickle down to awareness at the lower levels.
Second possibility, they are part of the older network seen as connected to those who are to be replaced from within the "Hindu" in the network. Therefore state and intel and others collaborate to pin them and target them. I would also think that the investigators are keeping a tactical retreat option open to fix the blame on "saffron" plotting.

Re: Internal Security Watch
ISI connection is through IM and all the people arrested with live bombs, dead bombs, and bomb going boom are/were IM operative. Dozen more live bombs were found at their place at Ranchi. That is already known. Too late to to color it safron, this is as green as it gets. It is not very likely that a person with the last name of Sao ( Bihari Baniyas) is going to be part of IM network. I would say that would be impossible. That is why by throwing these names NIA is just muddying the water. Their first priority should be to catch the absconding IM operative, Tehsin Akhtar who is the mastermind of Patna blasts and then they can go after the rest of them.
Re: Internal Security Watch
UPA's unique contribution is that it has now become hard to figure out exactly how far the rot goes. is it just the INC big guys like Chidambaram, Sibal, etc who keep harping on "saffron" terror? judging by the activities of the intel agencies, they seem to be going along with the INC signals over the past several years. so exactly upto which level are the agencies compromised? is there any hope of repentance for any rung within he agencies?
this whole "saffron" terror bogie has boomeranged a lot. among the common civilians, this will lead to further erosion of trust in the security agencies. in the long-term, that's not good for the country. the security agencies are not that different from the armed forces, in the sense that the country and people need to trust and identify with them. without that trust, country will suffer.

Re: Internal Security Watch
The saffron terror bogie is to hide obvious even when India is among top nations affected by terrorism and meaning of terrorism itself, while shielding terrorists to be not affected by its real cause.
Terrorism is apparently just another crime but it is not, it is a transnational attack on Indians and no one seems to be answerable for a generic crime only but we haven't seen terror attacks from natives of Peru for example or Romas from Europe.

Re: Internal Security Watch
You made me a Modi admirer: Nambinarayanan
Q: But Sreekumar said he never met you, let alone torture you.
A: If he never met me, how did he say that he had initiated proceedings against my corruption while he was CISF chief in ISRO? In fact the story about corruption charges is a lie. If I was corrupt and there were vigilance inquiry against me, how could I be one of the very few in ISRO to receive a record 8 promotions in 25 years ? How was I entrusted with highly sensitive and important positions ? He has not tortured me. But as the number two of the IB team, isn't he answerable to the torture, his subordinates perpetrated on me ? He also said that IB had no right to interrogate and hence never did it. Then why he admitted that he interrogated Sasikumaran and the Maldivian women?
Q: Why do you call the case was inspired by CIA?
A: There is enough evidence. Right from the beginning USA was out to thwart ISRO's attempts to get the highly sophisticated Cryogenic engine to be used for advanced GSLV satellites. First they refused to give us and then when the Soviets came forward, they thwarted it. I and Sasikumaran were directly involved in getting the stage from the USSR. It was almost when we clinched the deal with the Soviets and that too at rock bottom prices, the case broke out targeting me and Sasi. In fact the Russians had transferred instruments and equipments of cryogenic technology from Moscow to Delhi in covert Ural Airlines flights. I was in that flight. It was exactly at that time we were arrested for spying against India ! Many international journalists like Brian Harvey have investigated and wrote a book on this. The Kerala Police and IB chiefs were willing tools in CIA's hands. Don't forget that it was just after this case broke out that the then IB's Additional Director Rattan Sehgal was given compulsory retirement after he got charged with spying for USA. No doubt the CIA succeeded through this case to thwart India's indigenous development of Cryogenic engine. For even after two decades we have not been able to do this.
Q: How did your meeting with Modi happen?
A: I had only known from the media that he was coming to attend Mata Amritanandamayi's 60th birth day celebrations. But on September 26 morning I got a phone call from someone who said he was Modi's secretary. He asked me if I could meet Modi at Mascot hotel where he lived, by 9 pm. I said yes and went to the hotel at 9. After elaborate security check, I was ushered into Modi's room. He politely asked me about the ISRO case and its connections with CIA. Our meeting lasted barely 10 minutes. He did not even once ask me about Sreekumar though I hoped he would.

Re: Internal Security Watch
It is healthy for the nation that we do not give in to regime demands that we implicitly trust all its institutions and functionaries and whatever they say or do. The demand for implicit trust without questioning, without holding the possibility in the back of our minds that they can be penetrated by hostile forces, or that they can lie, or that they can simply be there protecting their narrower personal power or other related interests - is always from governments, and regimes in power or the functionaries of the institutions.
Whenever trust is given implicitly to organs of power - that trust is likely to be abused. A healthy dose of skepticism, with a conditional approach to trust - keeping the possibility of betrayal as a small but distinct possibility - is in the long run better for society.
There is a demand that we must equate the nation with its formal regime in state power, so that distrust of the regime is demanded to be equivalent to betrayal of the nation. If this argument was valid, then all freedom movements and independence struggles to oust the Brits from formal state power - was a crime.
The very legitimacy claims on which INC and the Republic stands on - automatically implies that regimes in formal state power need not always be aligned to the "nation". That regimes can act on hidden agendas and narrower ideological, financial or identity motivations - which need not always be spelt out or acknowledged formally, but which has to be read off from concrete steps and positions that the regime and associated state takes on issues. Just as the Brits did without always acknowledging their racism, their preference for certain religions over others, their predatory and exploitative economic strategies in favour of a preferred subgroup of Brits and affiliated Indian collaborators, and their use of state coercive power to eliminate and remove opposition which were not amenable to compromise.

ISI threatening ministers over black money: Subramanian Swamy
BHUBANESWAR: The Inter Services Intelligence (ISI) is blackmailing some Indian ministers and threatening them of leaking information about their black money stashed away in foreign banks if the Union government takes any strong decision on Pakistan, said senior BJP leader Subramanian Swamy here on Sunday.
"All the black money is routed through Dubai hawala groups. Since no such transaction happens without the knowledge of ISI and gangster Dawood Ibrahim, Pakistan has full knowledge about our ministers' black money, though we don't have the information. This explains India's compulsion for not taking any strong action against Pakistan," Swamy said, delivering the 13th Harischandra Baxipatra memorial lecture here.
The former Union minister said people at the highest level are compromising on country's interest to earn quick bucks. Corruption must be cleansed from the top, he added.

Terror outfits converge on prime target Modi - where we saw...
Apparently, the agriculture minister of Bihar has got the message - remember the dude who said this immediately after the Indian soldiers were beheaded... (from Link )Intelligence Bureau note has alerted the Central government about specific threats to the life of BJP's Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi, from terrorist elements such as Dawood Ibrahim and Yaqoob Khan, aka Rasool "Party", one of the absconding accused in the murder of former Gujarat Home Minister Haren Pandya. The alert, a copy of which is available with The Sunday Guardian, notes the several ways by which these two, as well as terrorist outfits such as Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM), Hizbul Mujahideen (Huji) and Students Islamic Movement of India (SIMI) are planning to eliminate Modi.
The IB note talks about a recent meeting held between Dawood Ibrahim and officers of Pakistan's Inter Services Intelligence, in which the gangster-turned-terrorist was "tasked to restart activities in India and also target Shri Narendra Modi". This is the first time that Dawood, accused of orchestrating the 1993 Mumbai blasts, has been engaged to neutralise such a high-value target inside India.
well, now the same guy says this narendra modi is the biggest terrorist in India says Nitish's agriculture minister"I don't believe Pakistan was involved in the attack on our soldiers. It is likely the work of elements trying to create a rift between our countries. The people should stop their protests. Now, is not the time to heighten tensions further," Bihar Agriculture Minisetr Narendra Singh said on Saturday. Singh's remark has come as a further embarrassment for the Bihar government.
"Pakistan is our younger brother and a neighbour," he commented when asked about the firing incident in which jawans of 21st Bihar Regiment were killed when they were patrolling along LoC on Tuesday. Four of the five armymen killed were from Bihar.

If true, the ISI threat to expose corrupt Indian poltiicans is laugahble.
Folks who swallowed over Rs 100,000 crores in the telecom scam and are back in office would laugh at a threat to expose some piddly hawla account with a 'do kaudi' gangster who exists because they allow him.

If the ISI indeed wants to leak, it can send an anonymous dossier to Pioneer or NitiCentral. Once the story is out, all media will want a piece of the action - otherwise they will be left out of the scoop.

Muslim Friday Prayers Block Major Streets in New Delhi
Yesterday · · Taken in New Delhi, India
I went to say my Friday prayers, but did not expect to see thousands of Muslims simply take over a major thoroughfare of Delhi, without a care for traffic that soon became a mile-long traffic jam of cursing and honking drivers. Guess what they were saying as they sat trapped in their cars, while my Muslim community sought a closeness to Allah right on the city's asphalt?

Re: Internal Security Watch
One can imagine a lot between his lines.Terrorists may attempt to disrupt Lok Sabha, assembly polls: PM Manmohan Singh
NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Saturday warned that terrorist groups may try to disrupt the forthcoming Lok Sabha and assembly polls and asked security forces to remain alert.
Voicing concern over a "substantial increase" in the number of communal incidents in some states, he said they must be tackled with utmost firmness, without prejudice, fear or favour.
"There is a likelihood of attempts (by terror groups) to disrupt the forthcoming Lok Sabha and assembly elections. The security forces need to be careful," the Prime Minister said while addressing a conference of country's top police brass here.
Referring to the recent communal clashes in Muzaffarnagar and adjoining districts in Uttar Pradesh which claimed many lives and displaced thousands, Singh said law and order agencies must ensure that trivial or local issues are not exploited by vested interests to inflame communal passions.
"During the current year some states have witnessed a substantial increase in the number of communal incidents. We cannot afford such a state of affairs.... Once disturbances occur they must be tackled with utmost firmness, without prejudice, fear or favour," he told the conference of Directors General Police and Inspectors General of Police.
The Prime Minister said state DGPs have the responsibility to ensure that their police force acts in the required manner in preventing communal actions.
Expressing concern over misuse of social media for fanning tension in the society, Singh said the country has witnessed misuse of social media and SMSs during the recent disturbances in Muzaffarnagar and also last year.
"There is a need to find creative solutions which do not curb the freedom of expression and the ease of communication that social media provides," he said.
The Prime Minister said resurgence of terrorist groups, particularly Lashkar-e-Taiba and increased infiltration attempts call for heightened vigil and coordination.
Congratulating the Intelligence Bureau (IB), which organised the conference, Singh said it was the intelligence gathered by the IB that led to the arrest of some suspects of several terror attacks.
Referring to the Maoist problem, the Prime Minister said it was important that the security forces do not let up on their efforts to root out the menace of naxalism and continue to build on the successes.
"Our intelligence, police, para-military forces have done commendable work during polls in the naxal affected areas of Chhatisgarh," he said.
Singh also said there was a need to improve the quality of governance and the pace of development in the naxal affected areas.
Earlier, Singh released the first ever commemorative postage stamp on the Intelligence Bureau logo - 'Awake, Day and Night'.

Have to choose lesser of the two evilsBring FB, Twitter under ambit of Indian law: IB chief
NEW DELHI: Intelligence Bureau chief Syed Asif Ibrahim on Saturday conceded that Indian security agencies were handicapped by technical and procedural constraints in regulating malicious content on the internet, and favoured foreign content providers to be brought within the ambit of Indian laws.
Speaking about the deliberations during the three-day DGP conference here, which comprised a dedicated session on social media and law enforcement, Ibrahim said: "It was noticed that while security agencies in India are handicapped with technical and procedural constraints (in filtering malicious posts on social media), foreign law enforcement agencies have unfettered access to social media, considerably enhancing their law enfocement capabilities".
Acknowledging that the legal framework in this regard was still evolving in India, the IB chief said the DGP conference had recommended governing of foreign content by Indian laws, "supplemented with creation of our own cyber sub-space".{is he talking about search , twitter, mail, Facebook analogs like the Chinese have ? }
Most of the social media sites like Facebook and Twitter have their servers based in the the US. Indian law enforcement agencies often complain about lack of cooperation on part of these websites in blocking malicious posts. The argument cited by them is that they are bound only by laws of the country where their host servers are located. It usually takes a due order from an Indian court to get these foreign internet giants to pull down objectionable content visible in India.
Ibrahim, in his address on the concluding day of the DGP meet, said the recent revelations regarding extensive surveillance infrastructure in cyberspace had generated public interest and debate about various issues related to cyberspace. "The conference deliberated on the vulnerabilities in cyberspace and steps being taken to secure our systems. The need to surmount challenges by constant upgradation in technology and human resources through in-house efforts was stressed upon," he told the police chiefs.
Ibrahim said the meet had emphasised upon the use indigenously developed hardware, data encryption technology and communication platforms available in both public and private domains.
Bringing up the targetted attacks in security forces and ceasefire violations in Jammu and Kashmir this year, the IB chief said Lashker-e-Taiba and Hizbul Mujahideen were hitting forces to draw a disproportionate response that would fuel public agitations. However, lack of public support ensured that such efforts and similar agitations by separatist elements found.little traction on the ground, he noted.
On the terror front, Ibrahim said Indian Mujahideen continued efforts to launch terror attacks at the behest of its mentors based in Pakistan. "The group suffered following the arrest of its important leaders, and efforts continue to further degrade its operational capabilities," he said.
Talking of the counter-Naxal strategies, Ibrahim said the intention was to expand political and developmental space by dismantling the Maoist strongholds in south Chhattisgarh. "Developmental hubs with government offices around police stations will be set up. These hubs will serve as effective catalysts for improving communications and accessibility in interior areas," he said.
To tackle insurgency in the north-east, the top sleuth stressed upon the need to break the vicious cycle of extortion, leading to acquiring of weapons, violation of ceasefire ground rules and militants taking refuge in the neighbouring countries.
Commending the supreme sacrifices by the police forces, Ibrahim said 579 police personnel had laid down their lives this year in the line of duty. At the same time, he praised the restraint shown by the forces in J&K in handling protests following the hanging of Parliament attack convict Mohammad Afzal, recalling that it resulted in just three deaths as against 113 fatal casualties recorded during the public agitation over the Amarnath land row issue in 2010

Controversy over minister 'leaking' information on Ajmal Kasab
Mr Parab said he has based his demand for Mr Patil's dismissal on a four-page article written by the Home Minister in a Marathi Diwali magazine published by a media house.
The four-page article titled 'Operation X' divulges details about Kasab's violent behaviour inside the barracks, how the state went about his cremation inside the Yerwada Jail in Pune and who performed the last rites on the terrorist.
Mr Parab asked the Governor to take strict cognisance of the details shared by Mr Patil in the magazine as it has "compromised on the national security".
The legislator also pointed out that the minister has failed to live by the oath of secrecy taken at the time of appointment as minister in the state cabinet. Mr Parab said the four-page article by the home minister leaked details about how the prisoners at Yerwada jail dug up three huge pits at different locations for Kasab's burial.
"Patil, who is craving for publicity at all times, also gave away information about who performed the last rites on the terrorist," he said.
In his article, Mr Patil said the last rites were performed by a maulvi son of one of the prison staff. This information is sufficient to identify the person concerned as the Yerwada prison could have only a handful of Muslim staff and it is very easy to identify the maulvi whose father is a prison staff, Mr Parab said.

Gurgaon where there was literally almost a NIL Muslim population 15 years ago has now NH8, MG Road, and Gurgaon-Faridabad road blocked Firday's. There's even empty land right across in many areas, but they prefer it on the roads. This is a pressure tactic. Demand for mosques and then overwhelm the local population. Then they play == with some Dharmic procession which occurs say once a year in festivity..but these congregations and stopping of traffic occur every Friday without fail. The Dharmic processions are economically useful like Jagannath and Ganesh Puja rituals. And these don't occur every day or week. We need clarity to deal with the tenets of Islamism and bunk them for what they are. People must begin to see through and not justify such behaviour.

Of late, high valued real estate areas, both residential and commercial, are seeing a mass investment of "secular" money winging it's way home from the gelf. These jokers are paying really hefty premiums to infiltrate into earlier no go areas. Premiums offered in Bangalore are in the region of 25-30 % and rising. Cometh the "secular" money and very soon followeth the "religious structures".
Re: Internal Security Watch
This taking over of streets by the peaceful community seems to be a global phenomenon - seems to happen in Paris, Moscow also. Maybe there are other cities in non muslim countries where this happens too.
Re: Internal Security Watch
Haridwar is around 30 plus %. All Dharmic sthals of significance in the north are surrounded/ occupied by IM populations over 50%. Some very critical areas are 70%. I have written about it by each district in my blog. BT kind of solutions would have worked in <5 maybe 10% kind of scenarios. >30% it's very very difficult. Any call to curb such becomes '..Khatre mein' and riot scenarios.Yes, UP & Bihar are goners. But Raj, Haryana, MP and even Delhi-NCR is still in the light green zone (<15%).
Btw, this is one more instance of the peaceful community making their presence felt on important trade & religious routes. Try driving to Haridwar/Kotdwar and you will know what I'm talking about.
Good work. I try and tell people when they make a statement, try and think one step or 2 forward. Imagine a Psec retort..which in this case is we too have fests that block roads..and see if they are some shows of strength done on a weekly basis, or an ancient tradition that generates economic activity and confirms to original traditions that this country holds sacred.I shared the album on my FB page and bang, came a comment from a Bihari leftist doing an equal equal. I asked him to name any Indic festival that takes place 5 times a day, he never came back.

Aren't our own ministry of hydrocarbons etc sitting on files to clear investments in oil fields, say ones offered to India by Myanmar. There is hardly any investment in oil drilling tech or continuous investments to find new oil assets. Or for that matter import lobby that the oil minister earlier talked about. So middle class is busy paying taxes directly as well as indirectly and can't seem to compete much there. At the same time less explorations by India means lesser competition and therefore more cost of petroleum products.chetak wrote:harbans wrote:Gurgaon where there was literally almost a NIL Muslim population 15 years ago has now NH8, MG Road, and Gurgaon-Faridabad road blocked Firday's.

Do you mean that the French gov't has stopped it in Paris because the last time I checked, it was going on:panduranghari wrote:Its banned in Paris. Its common in Londonistan.
This was first uploaded in 2010 I think, has the government stopped it since then?
