This guy and his ilk needs to be kept away from influencing the executive branch in any way, they make too much sense and would undo all the good work done by the whinging schizo; the afg situation has all the makings of a big time fuk up by the gotus; even more so than with bush admin, we may even scalp pakistan permanently, just need to cash in with precision.
That said, although it was almost certainly unpremeditated, Trump’s comments could conceivably have a small silver lining. The threat of his personal intercession in the Indo-Pakistani relationship could, in itself, motivate India’s top diplomats to find their way back to a bilateral dialogue with Pakistan. Even if such a move proves purely tactical on India’s part, with little prospect for yielding any breakthrough agreements, it could be a marginal improvement over the diplomatic silence that now prevails. At the very least, a resumed dialogue would give Prime Minister Modi something to suspend the next time he needs to publicly display his frustration with Pakistan—a diplomatic “safety valve,” of sorts. It would also strengthen New Delhi’s argument that India is not the main obstacle to peace in South Asia.
Trump’s second misstep came in his commentary on Afghanistan, in which he stated that the main U.S. alternative to a negotiated settlement with the Taliban would be to drop GBU-43/B Massive Ordnance Air Blast bombs (as U.S. forces used in April 2017 against an ISIS tunnel complex in Nangarhar) and wipe Afghanistan “off the face of the earth.” But because those plans would kill “10 million people,” Trump said that he would prefer a negotiated settlement in which “Pakistan is going to help us out to extricate ourselves.”
Many other American leaders have argued that the war in Afghanistan can only be ended through negotiations, but none has spoken so recklessly about the U.S. use of force or so callously about killing Afghans. It was no surprise that the Afghan government immediately called for a “clarification” of Trump’s comments, and U.S. Special Representative for Afghanistan Reconciliation Zalmay Khalilzad received an earful from Afghan President Ashraf Ghani in their subsequent meeting.
I see now why western politicians are considered so suave.
But rather than try to find that balance, Trump skipped subtlety altogether. He repeatedly showered Khan with praise, noting for instance that “[w]e’ve made a lot of progress over the last couple of weeks, and Pakistan has helped us with that progress.” He then added, “a lot of great things are happening. A lot of things are happening for the United States, and I think a lot of great things are going to be happening for Pakistan too, under your leadership. I really feel that.” The president went on to stress the “tremendous upside” potential of increased U.S.-Pakistan trade, observing that “I see great trade with Pakistan. And I’m not—I’m not talking about a little bit more. I’m talking about—we could go 10 and even 20 times what we’re doing right now.”

In one line UT has more control from centre as compared to a state which has police and education issue to itself (which is quite important in short term)

This is going OT for this thread so I will stop here, but I think Ladakh and Jammu have earned the right (and can be trusted with) to their own statehood, not so with the valley which should be under direct control of the GOI. North Kashmir could be either, there are good arguments both for and against.

A small Gaza strip type slice in the middle hosting KP's and few Garrisons would do the trick.
We need to learn something from Brits. Create entities and automatically denizen would love their entity more than the other.
Gaza strip is pain in the butt. Creating Jammu and Ladakh states will not solve problem as we have next Congress like govt they will undo all the good work. That's why we need to break it in a way that regrouping is next to impossible. If people want to keeping their identity then we would have 400 princely states in India. There is nothing free of cost, to gain something we have to lose something.

A plane just crashed in Islamabad's Bahria Town Phase 7. 10 casualties reported so far. Crash site is south-east of pindi, far from the core of the city.
Update: ARY News reporting plane belonged to Army Aviation. Xinhua suggesting a "training jet"
Update 2: ISPR: "12 dead including 5 crew members of Pakistan army aviation training plane crashed in a residential area near Rawalpindi" - via Geo News
Prime Minister Imran Khan on Monday said there was no precedent in Islamic history for forcefully converting others , and those who do so "know neither the history of Islam, nor their religion, the Quran or Sunnah."

What do the people of Jammu and Ladakh want? Do they want to be free of the valley, likely, but do they want statehood, UT status, amalgamation together, or with Himachal?

Yes but generally a crash like this type of aircraft pilots etc are first published, why hush hush and distant photos and Armed personal guarding the crash.
Almost all articles have the words " No immediate word on cause or type of aircraft involved"- plus that wing looks pretty big to something normally flown by Pakistani Army aviation.

US made Beechcraft King Air 350 twin turboprop crashed in #Rawalpindi. This aircraft is operated by Pakistan Army Aviation as an electronic surveillance asset. Its not just a human tragedy but also a noteworthy loss of a valuable aircraft. #RIP to all the victims.
Looks the Pakistani military aircraft which crash was an electronic surveillance asset and only 1 of the 2 which Pakis had. Landing at 2:40AM must have been returning from mission on the LOC . There was an exchange of fire along the LOC in Rajouri sector which was initiated by the Pakis where 1 Indian soldier was martyred and some Pakis died . Who knows 1 engine might have been shot out by a Paki stinger mistaken for an Indian aircraft and then made a emergency dash to land at Rawalpindi.
That would explain the delay in announcing type of aircraft etc.

Clearly the PAF does not follow the dhimmi kafir habits of the IAF of avoiding hitting populated areas at the cost of the life of the pilot.

At least five people have been killed after a loud explosion outside the City police station in Quetta, DawnNewsTV reported quoting police and hospital officials. According to the spokesman for Quetta's Civil Hospital, Waseem Baig, around 34 people have also been injured in the blast, the nature of which was not immediately clear.
The dead and injured have been shifted to Civil Hospital where an emergency was imposed to treat the injured. Balochistan Inspector General of Police Mohsin Hassan Butt told DawnNewsTV that police were apparently the target of the blast and policemen are among those injured. The blast shattered the glass windows of nearby shopping malls and shops. The sound of the explosion was heard far and wide, causing panic among the people. The City police station is located near Bacha Khan Chowk area of Quetta. It is one of the busiest neighbourhoods of the city. Security officials have cordoned off the site of the blast.
Even as Kulbhushan Jadhav remains in Pakistan's custody, Pak media on Wednesday claimed that the authorities have arrested another 'Indian spy. The 'spy' was arrested from Rakhi Gar, ANI reported.
He has been identified as Raju Lakshman, the report stated. Raju has been shifted to an undisclosed place for further investigation.
Expect this news to pick up steam in coming few days
NEW DELHI: India has asked Pakistan to provide "unimpeded" consular access to Kulbhushan Jadhav in an environment free from the "fear of intimidation" and reprisal, in sync with the International Court of Justice's ruling in his case, official sources said on Friday.
India sent a communication to Pakistan on Thursday, virtually turning down Islamabad's conditional offer of providing consular access to Jadhav on Friday afternoon.

So Pakis operating a fake twitter account in the name of Geelani, make up a statement on twitter, and as if on cue, their FM starts diplomatic propaganda using it.
https://www.thestatesman.com/world/us-d ... 85462.html US delegation to arrive in Pakistan next week
Alice Wells and US President Donald Trump’s administration’s point-person for South and Central Asia was going to be a part of the delegation in Washington, diplomatic sources told Dawn news.
New Delhi, August 4, 2019
A US delegation will reach Islamabad on Monday for talks with Pakistani officials, as the Afghan peace process intensifies and could lead to a presidential visit to the region, if it succeeds, according to reports on Sunday. Alice Wells and US President Donald Trump’s administration’s point-person for South and Central Asia was going to be a part of the delegation in Washington, diplomatic sources told Dawn news.
The sources further said that this would be a follow-up of the US-Pakistan consultations that began in Washington when Prime Minister Imran Khan visited and met Trump at the White House on July 22. They also said if the ongoing Doha talks led to an agreement between the US and Taliban, President Trump might visit Afghanistan in September to finalise the deal.
And if Trump visits Afghanistan, Pakistan would try to bring him to Islamabad as well to further strengthen the impression that relations between Islamabad and Washington are improving rapidly, sources added.

https://www.news18.com/news/india/masoo ... 54197.html Masood Azhar Dead? Speculation Mounts Days After Pakistan Confirms JeM Chief's Presence
Masood Azhar was being treated for liver cancer at an army hospital in Islamabad and died on Saturday, unconfirmed reports claim. There is, however, no confirmation yet from Pakistan.
New Delhi: Jaish-e-Mohammad chief Maulana Masood Azhar has died in Islamabad, unconfirmed media reports said on Sunday, two days after Pakistan publicly admitted to his presence amid heightened tensions with India.
Azhar was admitted to an army hospital in Islamabad and died on Saturday, the reports claim. Speculation also intensified on Twitter with #MasoodAzharDEAD trending at the top on Sunday evening. Pakistan, however, are yet to officially confirm or announce Azhar’s death.
In an interview to CNN on March 1, Pakistan foreign minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi had confirmed that Azhar was in his country and that he was really unwell. "He is in Pakistan, according to my information. He is unwell to the extent that he can't leave his house, because he's really unwell," Qureshi had said, adding that the Pakistan government would act against him only if New Delhi presented "solid" and "inalienable" evidence that can stand in a court of law. Refuting the rumours in the country, Pakistan's Geo Urdu News quoted unnamed sources close to Azhar's family as saying that the JeM chief was "alive", without elaborating on his health condition.

It was mentioned in a section of the press that Masood Azhar was hallal'ed in the IAF strike and he has not been seen since then.

A lot of despair, frustration and hair pulling by paki 'anal'ysts and hosts in porki talk shows regarding lack of support to Pakistan after India undid the Article 370, 35-A and split the state. They have cried conspiracy against Ummah as no country or international body has so far criticized much less condemned India.
They have been reduced to saying we should attack India as we have the jazbaa and Hindu maut se dartaa hai.
Shahid Masood has started pointing to Quran and Hadith saying it is forecasted that India will be defeated by Pakistan over the Kashmir issue.
What else can you expect from a bunch of losers and morons

No it is not. ICJ found Pakistan in violation of Vienna convention. Yes pakis can hang Jadhav. But will never be able to take anything to ICJ ever in the future if they demonstrate contempt for the court.
