Just saw The Kashmir Files in South London. Theatre was almost house full. Lots of ppl heard saying WTF under their breath during screening. Even someone like me who's relatively more aware about the history (thanks actually to the last 15 yrs of BRF exposure) could not help but feel ashamed how the then governments could let something like this happen.

The film, which was released in theatres on March 11, earned Rs. 3.55 crores on its opening day.

We few friends will watch it on weekday here in SF bay area. Shows in Santa Clara are running house full on the weekends. May be because of limited number of screens.

Overall I heard that the film is doing exceptionally well though there are reports of sabotage in few theaters in India. Vivek Agnihotri is doing a flash conference on Monday.

The movie Kashmir files is openly being sabotaged.

With only 30-40 seats booked, theatres are purposely being shown as fully booked.

During the movie itself, the sound is being wilfully muted on numerous occasions

I have a feeling that purposely mutilated and virus ridden copies are going to be released on line to ensure that even downloading is sabotaged.

It is in Mysore Karnataka. I thought it was only my imagination and they were sitting there to avoid crowd. Even my friend who is a south Indian film producer too told me that they were shocked and sat there not because of crowd or covid. He told it is his profession to gauge peoples feeling. It might be true because If it was due to COVID they would have been wearing masks most of them were not wearing or even talking to each other. just staring at the blank screen like a dead man.

There is a Seen in the move where Ms. Menon tells "Government might be theirs, but system is in our hands", this is so true. my wife posted on her FB stating where were the people who carry secularism on there sleeves and people who shame governments calling in-tolerance in 1990s... one of the area manager who is an union guy, wrote to her post not to watch such move, instead concentrate on work. But by morning he had deleted the post and my wife was sad that she could not take a screen shot and give a heard hitting reply to him.

He counted the numbers in Kurdish language and you will shocked to see the similarities to Sanskrit/Hindi.

The duo were ace plagiarists. Their most famous script - Sholay, was a100% lift of Sergio Leone's "Once Upon a Time In The West". In those days Western movies were not readily available to the public but these guys in Bhaiwood had access. When I first saw the Leone movie in UK in 1985 I was blown away, had no idea how some of the scenes had been copied frame by frame. Add desi masala to the story, put in your superstar actors and you have a smash hit.

Agree that Gypsies were not slaves but migrants. However, in 325 AD the Nicean council established the basis of Christianity and there were very little Christians before that in the world. In fact, before 325AD there is no known record of a person called "Jesus Christ". The Nicean council discussed a theoretical Jesus vs a physical Jesus. Jesus Christ was fashioned on another person called Apollonius of Tyana who was an Indic in Greece.

All Roman Emperors were followers of "Pagan" Hindu concepts prior to conversion to Christianity (Constantine the great onwards). The Pompei ruins have numerous idols of Indic Gods/Goddess. Islam seems to have been a reaction to Christian fundamentalism and violent intolerance inflicted on the people of Western Asia, and it mirrored Christianity to the extent of even stealing most of the text and doing the equivalent of negating everything in the christian book with the intent of fighting a war with christianity, and with the fall of constantinople around 1100AD (not CE, which presumes universal christianity) Islam went on to find other targets, as we all know.

I seem to recall incorrectly then, from the history of the Roma as written by one of their eminent historians who is a Professor in the US somewhere, this was many years ago. My bad. I have the book somewhere....

This is an often-repeated narrative by Christian historians, in which everything was black or white. Until the day that the Roman Empire itself became officially Christian, anything less than that was described as 'persecution' or 'intolerance' of Christians.

True, and I also object to people calling Hindus as pagans. There were many ancient religiouns that were grouped together as pagans. With the UKR conflict I recently learnt that there were some slavic pagan gods. The Azov battalion uses some of that imagery
