I hope injured recover quickly. On a side note Sushil Kumar Shinde walks out of one crisis only to walk into another.

The injured is the terrorist who was placing the bomb.

It's five blasts now and a 6th bomb defused.

In this video the report says that a man was carrying a plastic bag and there was an explosion and there were minor injuries. No idea if the man was carrying a bomb in the bag

It will be good if he is the one with the bomb and more importantly if ATS gets a hold of him.

There are lot of events happening.
India has summoned the Iranians for the Israeli attack
Sort of rapprochement with TSP (TSP FDI allowed Power supply etc)
Anna and Baba (the Laurel and Hardy against mother in law)

So we have to wait for the details to trickle in...

The statement made by the Pune police commissioner is not very clear but it sounds like a man carrying a bomb in a plastic bag was injured.

Shinde was supposed to attend a function at the Theatre after assumption of charge . That got cancelled. Now this blast at the same location

However it would be wrong to blame Shinde. Chiddu was in charge till the peultimate day.

Pune blasts: Five low intensity explosions hit city, 6th bomb defused
PUNE: Five low intensity explosions occurred this evening in the busy Junglee Maharaj Road area here injuring one person, police said. A sixth bomb was defused by the bomb disposal squad.

Asked if it was a terror attack, Maharashtra DGP Sanjeev Dayal told PTI, "It is not appropriate to comment at this moment. Police teams have reached the spots and are looking into the matter."

Great to hear that one of the devices was defused. But I fail to understand what qualifies as "low intensity", and why this is not a "terror attack".

http://ibnlive.in.com/news/three-minor- ... 3-237.html
Pune police commissioner Gulabrao Pol has, however, ruled out a terror attack saying, "It is not terror, it is some mischief. It is low intensity blast and took place at three spot."
Most interestingly,
According to the Home Secretary, a man allegedly carrying one of the bombs was injured in the explosions and has been taken into custody and is being interrogated, Singh said. He has been admitted to a local hospital.

The Pune police commissioner said the explosives carried by the injured man were kept in a cake box with sticky material, two detonators and a pencil cell.

It appears that the injured person, who is also the alleged bomb courier is a man named Dayanand Patil.

One person, a man named Dayanand Patil, has been injured. He is being treated at the Sassoon Hospital for minor injuries, the Pune Police has said. Home Secretary RK Singh said the injured man is being treated as a suspect for now; he was carrying a plastic bag. He is being questioned.

150 People sitting at the Anna Andolan at Bal Gandharva Chowk did not even notice the blast until the BDDS reached the spot, after which commotion was created.

The five low-intensity blasts at Pune on Wednesday evening are an act of terror, the Intelligence Bureau has claimed. The discovery of a sophisticated circuit at one of the blast sites has led the IB officials to believe that it is the handiwork of a professional terrorist group.
I was about to remark a few days ago that one year has passed since the last terror attack. Way back in 2003-4 Islamic terrorist groups based n Pakistan promised to conduct at least one attack a year in India to keep the terror pot boiling. I am certain that this is a continuation of that.

I haven't seen any massive power outages here in Bangalore, but more than this immature Pune blasts, I wonder if TSP took out the power grid that knocked off power to more than 600 million in the north? What about that horrific tragedy where a few a days ago scores died when fire scorched 2 or 3 coaches of Tamil Nadu express? Newspapers reports indicate that police didn't rule out sabotage. With Aman Ki Aaasha in full swing, whole of India is TSP's playing field, assured that India won't even accuse them (TSP) for fear of vitiating the peace process. So TSP sends the messages to whom it needs to within India, and yet reaps the rewards of Aman ki Tamasha.

Thats right.. the congress "sickular" party is not responsbile for this...they have only been in power only 90% of the time since 1947 out of which a single Eva Peron family has been in power only 89% of that time only... so it must have been the "Hindutva" crowed that is responsible for the miserable state of the infrastructure of the country

Perhaps they are calling it "low-intensity" because the material was a low explosive? Might explain the less # of casualties. FYI: low explosive is when the material burns with a speed less than speed of sound (e.g.) black powder, whereas high explosive is stuff like TNT, nitroglycerine, RDX etc., which burns faster than speed of sound.

When five blasts occured serially within an hour, does it require extraordinary intelligence to call it a 'coordinated act' and that too 12 hours later ?

And its just a mischief. Setting off 5 bombs in a city is a mischief.. so cute.

As punishment, we should pull their cheeks if we manage to catch any of mischief mongers.

Actually Indian goverment agrees with you, its just that it took them 12 hours to arrive at the conclusion.
“Since the blasts have taken place within an area of 500 metres and within a span of 45 minutes, it appears to be a coordinated act.
Here is the complete report - Pune blasts a planned, coordinated act: Centre | PTI
“Whether it was a terrorist act or not will be determined only after proper investigations are carried out by Maharashtra ATS, city crime branch and central agencies,” Mr. Patil told reporters

Asked whether there could be a “saffron terror” angle to the incident, he said, “All angles are being probed and it will not be proper to comment at this stage.” (Who comes up with questions like this?)

Before anyone blames SS, remember the HM himself claimed that he became HM due to his caste and generosity from Gandhi Family an d not by any act of super-duper performance. So dont expect anything different from Buta Singh/Chavahan/Chiddu/Patil days.
