The Americans and Saudi are at it again., as oil prices go up and the cartel makes no decision to increase production.,

Iran is the convenient scapegoat, Saudi keeps on buying billions worth of weapons as a quid pro quo.

Higher prices of oil and increased sales of weapons help the US

The US is solely interested in preserving its hegemony and seeks to control the military capabilities of other countries as well as the rise of peer competitors.

CAATSA is not an oxymoron but just a tool towards this end.

If someone thinks India is not a target think again !., it's better to be sanctioned than keep on spending on other countries defence industrial complex. The S400 deal is coming to the limelight and will be a beacon as to how things move forward from here.

The US wants to prevent improvement in Russian military tech and what else to wean away from its most important customers ?!

India is a prime target. It is one of the biggest consumers of oil and armaments. American bonhomie is just based on Indias usefulness as a market. Nothing else.

America is laughing all the way to the bank, either way, it wins. and everyone else loses.

Newbie here but wanted to ask a simple question

Bharat is currently importing 18Billion USD worth of military hardware from US so why should it be bothered about the ES 4 hundred which is crucial to Indian Airspace security. Do they have any system that is comparable to the ES 4 hundred. I am not sure how their pa**ot systems perform in comparison with the ES 4 hundred

The US on Friday announced its decision to end preferential tariffs to $5.6 billion of Indian exports from June 5 after determining that it has not assured the US that it will provide "equitable and reasonable access to its markets."

“I have determined that India has not assured the US that it will provide equitable and reasonable access to its markets. Accordingly, it is appropriate to terminate India's designation as a beneficiary developing country effective June 5, 2019," US President Donal Trump said in a proclamation on Friday.
