IIRC FATF is Paris based, whats our Ambassador here doing?!
Re: Lawfare
FATF, doesn't have any jurisdiction to tell it's members how to manage it's money laundering laws.
This is a kite flying expedition.

Re: Lawfare
The Financial Action Task Force (FATF) is the global money laundering and terrorist financing watchdog (as per Google chacha). So ''watch dogs" are just that; dogs with no great policing power. They can come up with standards and guide lines and that it. Law making powers remain with the Govt of India, who works based on the Constituition of India. FATF seems to be not very different from the foreign NGOs, when it comes to agendas.
Positive side: This action from FATF means GoI (Modi & Co.) were right on their decisions and the intended results are happening on the ground. NGOs with foreign connections are feeling the heat.

For a moment there I missed out the 'f' in the topic.
Interesting topic. But couldn't this go under some other extant thread? Psy-Ops for e.g., or Indian Economy, or, political dhaga?
Too many threads being spawned recently.
