Thousands of people have fled one of Pakistan’s troubled northwestern tribal districts in recent days, fearing a military offensive against militants, locals and officials said.
Now the Paki army will go in after a month. Flatten a few houses, claim victory against "militants", get baksheeh from Unkil, set up refugee camps for the displaced people, run them with the help of yahoos, who will use the people there for recruiting.
Taking back the Pakistani space Between Mush and The Tush
( Ass ta far Gulla, Paki still stuck on partition!)
Most of the historical research since the transfer of power papers that came out three decades ago seems to suggest that partition happened not so much out of the intransigence of one man i.e. Jinnah as it did because the Congress party under Gandhi and Nehru had made up its mind to get rid of the Muslim majority provinces on the basis of the logic of cut the head to get rid of the headache. Instead of agreeing to the elegant three-tier federation that was devised to keep India united, the Congress party bosses, including Nehru and Gandhi, decided that a smaller more manageable Muslim population was in India’s best interest. Hence, they let go of the Muslim majority provinces, which were willing to come in the federation provided that they had a certain degree of provincial autonomy with residuary powers resting with the provinces (as opposed to the centre where Gandhi and Nehru wanted them). Was it so horrible an idea? The residuary of legislation in United States of America and Australia lie with the constituent units i.e. states, provinces, territories etc.
The reason why partition of India happened was because Nehru and Gandhi combined did not have the foresight, wisdom or statesmanship that Pierre Trudeau displayed in coming to an understanding with Rene Levesque on the Quebec question in Canada. Trudeau did not consider Quebec a headache. He was politically balanced enough to realise the legitimacy of Quebecois demands and to work to meet these demands to the mutual satisfaction of both parties concerned. Canada today is a mighty federation because it accommodated the Quebec demands, and it must be pointed out that the demands of the Quebecois are much more conspicuously separatist in nature than what the Muslim majority provinces were asking in the 1940s in India.
LAHORE – Joint Economic Zones (JEZs) at the Pak-India borders will promote trade and flow of economic activity between the two states. The zones would also be a gurantee of peace in the region and emerge as a binding factor between the two nations, said Pak-India Business Council (PIBC) chairman Noor Muhammad Kasuri talking to APP here on Sunday. He said there was a possibilty of investment of about 40-50 billion $ by the Indo-Pak people living Europe and other countries.“The PIBC is fully appreciative of the Agri support fund launched by US-AID for poverty alleviation”, he said and urged the United States to play a role for setting up JEZs and also provide $1 billion support for setting up infrastructure for these zones. The PIBC would send a formal proposal to US representatives for the region soon, he said.Kasuri said these zones would play a key role in poverty alleviation and socio-economic uplift of people in both the countries. The PIBC cahirman said almost trade and industry representative bodies appreciated JEZs between India and Pakistan.

This shitistani is saying, in effect "If only my father had slept with the maid rather than my mother, things would have been so good"
So the Paki PM showed up in court today. The court ordered him to appoint someone and task him with writing letter to the swiss authorities. Also instructed him to rein in his ministers from making statements against the court. Asked him to come back on September 14 and report progress.

Anujan ji, am I right in assuming that a face-saving plan is being worked out between Rental Raja and the son-et-lumiere CJP ? Rental Raja says that he will work towards resolving this impasse (he is not saying he will write the latter) and the CJP says he need not write it and somebody else can do so.
The good bunnies beheaded a party group yesterday in Af. When will the bad bunnies copy this in shitistan? Cant wait to see abduls dancing to bollywood tunes being hallaled
Aakar Patel delivers another punch to the face of RAPES. On blasphemy laws, he starts off with saying both India and Pakistan have similar blasphemy laws and then goes on to say this:
It is often said that property disputes or personal enmity are the reasons for many of these cases, because people can be charged on the basis of hearsay. If this were the case, the law would be misused in India also, which it is not. My view is that it is strong religious sentiment that is the reason why so many Pakistanis are accused of being blasphemers.
President Pervez Musharraf said he would look into softening the law, but couldn’t. Sherry Rehman tried to introduce a change to the law and failed. Why?
I would say that it is not possible for the state to bring change over an unwilling population. {So basically, Pakistan is a society of intolerant bigots}
Punjab’s Muslims have defied the state on religion before. Emperor Bahadur Shah I (Aurangzeb’s son) was unable to get the Lahore Jama Masjid to recite the khutba because the word ‘wasi’ was added by him to the name of the fourth caliph. The khutba proclaimed him as head of state and was therefore important as a sign of his sovereignty. The emperor had an angry showdown with four sullen clerics in his tent, demanding they comply. In Bahadur Shah’s view, the additional word was not against any specific Sunni practice. The clerics did not back down and, supported by the Afghans in Punjab, threatened civil war. A crowd of 100,000 civilians gathered to fight the state. In all the rest of India, the khutba continued to be read in the prescribed form except in Lahore. The emperor had to back down and finally the khutba was read on October 2, 1711, without the word ‘wasi’. {Basically saying here that it is in your blood and it won't change}
There is no chance that the state will be able to undo the two changes to Pakistan’s blasphemy law.
I think this Aakar Patel could be a RAW agent here on a mission to give some reality check to RAPES Initially he started off with negative articles on India in Indian newspapers and Pakis fell for it thinking they have found another Javed Naqvi but he is turning out to be Md Ali

His earlier articles in various paki newspapers were not too India-friendly.
Nandu wrote:Sorry, but what does the word "wasi" mean and what was the significance of adding it to the khutba?
"Wasi" in this context meant "heir" to the PBUH.
The Khutba Riot at Lahor.
Early in his reign Bahadur Shah had directed an alteration in
the public prayer for the sovereign put up every Friday in every
mosque throughout the land. The word wasi or heir was to be
added to the titles of Ali, Commander of the Faithful, in the
recital of Muhammad's successors. This alteration raised the
never ending controversy between the Sunni and the Shias as
to the rightful succession to the prophet, and Indian Muham-
madans being almost all Sunnis, this formal attribution of heir-
ship to Ali was naturally offensive to their religious feelings. Riots had been caused at Ahmadabad and elsewhere by the
attempt to recite the new form of prayer.. At Lahor, owing to
the objections of the doctors of the law, no khutba had been
recited for some time.
On reaching Lahor, Bahadur Shah summoned the learned
men of that city of whom Haji Yar Muhammad, Muhammad
Murad and three or four other well-known men attended. They
were directed to sit down before the Emperor in the tasbih-
khana or praying room. Abdul Qadir nephew of Qazi Mir and
two or three other doctors attached to the camp argued the point.
Even Bahadur Shah in person quoted books of authority and
traditions to prove the use of the word wasi. Haji Yar
Muhammad, in meeting the Emperor's arguments, forgot all the
usual modes of respect and spoke violently.......
In investigating these arguments, several days were passed. A number of
men in the city, backed up by many Afghan commanders, in
all some 100,000 men, promised to support Haji Yar Muhammad.
In secret Azim-ush-shan, too, was opposed to the innovation.
EMPEROR GIVES UP SHIA KHUTBA
At first Bahadur Shah held firmly to his purpose, the khatib,
or reciter of the prayer, at Lahor was arrested and sent to be
imprisoned at Agra, while Islam Khan received orders to march
into the city on the next Friday at the head of all the artillery
and to see that the khutba in the form appointed was duly read.
But finally on the 2nd October, 1711, the khutba in the old form
was recited at the Jama Masjid of Lahor in the presence of a
large armed force and many of the nobles, who had been sent
to preserve order. The form accepted was the same as in
Alamgir's reign. In it were many honorific titles attached to the
name of AH, but the actual word in dispute, wasi, did not appear.
The fact that the Emperor had given way was hardly known and
several thousand men of every class had assembled round the
mosque ready for an outbreak, and it was only when they
heard the old khutba that they dispersed.
Bahadur Shah had strayed from the orthodox
faith of the Sunnat. He therefore sent for the learned men of the Panjab
and reciting various traditions favourable to Ali said 'Are these correct? or
inventions' ? The learned men replied 'They are correct ; .....
After that the Emperor recited several traditions from which the
Lord of the Faithful (Ali) was shown as heir (Wasi) and he asked 'Are
these traditions, too, correct or not?' They said 'It is correct.' The
Emperor replied 'Therefore it is necessary to call the Lord of the Faithful
Ali (the grace of God be upon him) the Chosen Heir (Wasi-i-musta0a) in
the public prayer (khutba).' From this they believed the rumours to be
true that they had already heard, namely that Bahadur Shah had become
a Shia, and they thought, if we agree to this, he will in future be able to
say 'you must recite such and such words.' It would be better not to
consent now. Therefore they replied 'There is no doubt that Ali was
the Chosen Heir, but in the form of khutba fixed in the past by men of
learning and perfect in the faith (mujtahid) — and thought best by them — and
ordered to be recited, if the word wasi is left out therein that is no denial
of Ali's heirship. .....
RAWALPINDI, Aug 26: A planned musical concert in connection with Eid festival in the scenic Muree hills was cancelled on Sunday, after local religious clerics issued decree against the activity. The fatwa forced organisers to do away with their plan.
...
“Some angry religious cleric approached us after we had successfully advertised about the concert. Despite our requests that the musical concert was solely aimed at giving free entertainment to people in connection with Eid, the clerics demanded complete and immediate ban on the show,” Managing Director PHA Capt Mushtaq Ahmed told Dawn on Sunday.
“We had invited several well-known pop and classical singers to participate in the concert but we had to cancel the plan owing to the harsh criticism of local religious clerics,” Mr Ahmed, the chief organiser of the festival maintained.
However, he said that the festival proved to be a healthy activity as it also contained other recreational events including food streets, magic shows, cultural exhibitions, entertainment villages for children and women and many other things.
According to organisers, over 15,000 families were expected to reach the vast lawn of Bhurban Cricket Stadium, the venue, for watching the live concert but the religious clerics used loud speakers to condemn the music show thus forcing the managers to wind up the event.

ISLAMABAD: Islamabad’s duty magistrate on Sunday gave orders for assessment of age of the young girl accused of blasphemy. The girl would be taken to the medical board of Polyclinic on Monday (today), and the district management has finalised a security plan to avoid any unpleasant situation, Dawn has learnt reliably.According to sources, Justice Inamullah gave written instructions to the administration of Adiala Jail to give the girl to police custody, who will transport her to Polyclinic. It is pertinent to mention that on August 25, Saturday, the administration of Adiala Jail had refused to accept orders of Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Farasat Ali Khan to hand over the girl to the medical board. She will be shifted to Polyclinic on Monday (today) for the medical board. The district administration has been doing arrangements of strict security to avoid any unwanted situation. After medical board, she will be shifted to Adiala Jail,” he said.Medicolegal Officer (MLO) of Polyclinic, Dr Tanveer, who is member of the medical team, said that written instructions had been received by the district management and all preparations had been done.“There will be a five-member team, which will comprise of a radiologist, orthopaedic specialist, medical specialist and at least one lady doctor,” he said.“For assessment of age x-rays of different bones and teeth will be done, besides her age will also be examined through physical check-up and her mental condition will also be examined,” he said.
Why is the age so important in this case? If anything a psychiatric evaluation should have been done first to see if she can comprehend what she has done (if she really did what she has been accused of)
saip wrote:Why is the age so important in this case? If anything a psychiatric evaluation should have been done first to see if she can comprehend what she has done (if she really did what she has been accused of)
What? She should be simply be released and the imam who accused her locked up. Not test shmest required.

The key to understand the Paki thinking is the physical check up of girl to comply with Sunna to seal her fate .Poaqs are playing sinsiter game to murder this child. So far no kaffir have escaped once caught in this game. Every time i read this kind of news ,i feel like breaking the bones of our own PSers who keep justifying this filth and want Indians to accomodate the Pakipashus with Shakal insaan ki aqal Haivan ki karttoot Shaitan ki .
Baakistan needs more taliban. Like the ones that beheaded 17 people for mixed gender partying with haram music. So far only the military is getting hit. No elites have been hit as a group, right? Could it be that they are paying their regular dues to keep out of trouble?

That would be the sanest thing to do. But do you believe Pakistanis are sane?
The Christian girl accused of blasphemy case is becoming interesting.
Apparently an association of mullahs held a rally in her support (yes her support) and it was organized by a fellow who is a big shot in DPC (duffer-e-Pakistan, the motely group which consists of such luminaries like Hamid Gul and "Professor" Hafiz Saeed Saheb).
The news cycle seems to concentrate around "Blasphemy law is 400% necessary, but in this case let us be lenient towards the girl". The most stunning statement was made by Imran who claims that Blasphemy law is for the protection of people accused of blasphemy, because otherwise emotional crowd might lynch the alleged blasphemers. This is canonical example of Lahori Logic
Nandu, the trouble in Pakistan (and probably elsewhere in other Islamic nations too) is that once a person is accused of blasphemy, that person's fate is sealed. That person will meet one of the three fates: killed in jail, killed by a mob within the court or upon release or killed by judicial pronouncement (which Pakistan studiously avoids due to international repercussions). The only way any Pakistani accused of blasphemy can survive, is by getting a Canadian visa. In this case, the poor girl will have to go through the rigmarole of the process of law until it reaches the SC where alone she can expect relief. Lower courts will certainly award her death sentence.

PESHAWAR: An operation to clear Taliban militants from a volatile area of Pakistan’s northwest on Monday left 36 dead including three soldiers and two members of a government supported peace committee, officials said.Armed forces had launched the operation to clear the village of Batwar, which lies in the Bajaur tribal district, of Taliban militants who had crossed over from the neighbouring Kunar province of Afghanistan.“During the clash, 31 militants were killed while three security personnel embraced shahadat (martyrdom),” a senior official of the paramilitary Frontier Corps told AFP.“Two members of the peace committee also embraced shahadat (martyrdom) while five security personnel got injured,” he said. Most of the area has now been cleared of militants, but the operation still continues to flush out the remaining fighters, another official said.It was not possible to confirm the death toll independently because the far-flung district is inaccessible to media and aid workers.
Bajaur is one of seven districts in Pakistan’s semi-autonomous tribal belt, where Taliban and al Qaeda-linked militants have carved out strongholds used to plot attacks on Pakistan.Pakistan has lost more than 3,000 soldiers in the fight against homegrown insurgents but has resisted US pressure to do more to eliminate havens used by those fighting the Americans in Afghanistan.

A very similar argument was made by our Marxist 'historian' Romila Thapar (ex-Lahore?) in justifying jizya levied by Islamic rulers in India.

For once, I may even agree with the Talibani-jihadi Imran Khan. Howsoever despicable such a justification for Blasphemy Law may appear to decent human beings, the truth is that rabid religiosity has been taken to such a level that unless the accused is taken into custody, there is little chance of the accused surviving mob fury. The case of the Hindu factory employee in Karachi who was brutally murdered or the killing in the court itself of the judge who released a so-called blasphemer etc comes to mind. There are even cases of the furious mob overwhelming the police station to lay their hands on the blasphemer. Very high-profile Taseer & Bhatti were murdered while Sherry Rehman had to be dispatched as Ambassador to the US. I also recall the then Education Minister, Ms. Zobaida Jalal being attacked for removing the Koranic verse on jihad from the biology textbook of Class X. A powerful Musharraf had to drop her from the cabinet.
All we have to do is find wherever Blasphemy has been committed by state of Pakistan or its terrorist army or its RAPES and release that info in public domain.
Afterall paoks have right to know who is defiling their fort of Islam and deal with it according to sharia and Kuran.
Anujan wrote:The most stunning statement was made by Imran who claims that Blasphemy law is for the protection of people accused of blasphemy,
Isn't that true..death, is the ultimate protection against any further harm. That is why the ultra peaceful religion's ultra pure adherents impose that penalty for blasphemy.
A former attorney general (AG) is playing an active role to bring an end to a standoff between the judiciary and executive over writing a letter to Swiss authorities for reopening cases against President Asif Zardari. Sources told Daily Times that a group within the Pakistan People’s Party is considering back-channel diplomacy to settle various issues, including the NRO implementation case. They said a Karachi-based former AG is busy drafting a proposed letter, which could be acceptable to both judiciary and executive. Sources also said that the government’s legal team was also supporting this proposal to find a way out of the court’s December 16, 2009 judgement. They claimed that the back-channel diplomacy would bear fruit before the next hearing.

Phsical assessment of age by a pure ghazi is likely to expedite the issuance of Canadian visa..
The council {Council of Islamic Ideology} has recommended death penalty for anybody misusing the blasphemy law. . . It has also recommended only the judges of the Federal Shariat Court (FSC) hold proceedings in blasphemy cases (The FSC consists of five permanent judges and three renowned Islamic scholars). . . adding that the accused should be given the right to defend himself or herself through a legal adviser.{Does it mean that in the current version of the Blasphemy Law, the accused cannot defend himself/herself ?} However, the council strongly opposed any amendment in the blasphemy law, particularly in Section 295-C, a far as the penalties are concerned. The proposals also authenticate the capital punishment in the light of the holy Quran and Sunnah for blasphemy.
