We always had a News and Discussion thread on Pakistan.

Early on I named it Islamic Republic of Terroristan(IROT) inspired the i-everything in early 2000s. Then it was changed to current name to clearly make the associations: The self identity of Pakistan, Islamic Republic and the defacto identity of Terrorism which has become their universal export. India is known for its IT (information technology) and Pakistan is known for IT( International Terrorism).

I also called the TSPA(Terrorist State of Pakistan Army) as the RATs(Rogue Army of Terrorists) after Kargil perfidy and the torture killing of Lt. Saurabh Kalia and his troops.

BTW the motto of TSPA is jihad-e-fistula aka paindabutt

from The News (news article posted in full). Someone is making a concerted effort to keep Polio alive in TSP.
Unicef polio officers mull quitting
Mushtaq Yusufzai - Wednesday, August 29, 2012

PESHAWAR: The highly-paid communication officers recently hired by the Unicef to counter refusal cases in polio vaccination campaigns in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are considering not to run the drive due to threats that emerged after the killing of an official in Karachi.

The decision by communication officers to stop the campaign in KP came after media reports that the Unicef officials in Karachi had declined to perform duties in wake of security threats, where an official of the World Health Organisation (WHO) was killed and another injured.

The Unicef recently hired communication officers to counter refusals by reluctant parents in KP and other segments of society opposed to the vaccination drive due to a host of reasons.

Senior officials of the Unicef told The News they had received reports from different parts of the province that Social Mobilizers and Union Council Communication Officers were finding it difficult to convince the reluctant families in the wake of the association of polio campaign with the role of Dr Shakeel Afridi.

Pleading anonymity, the officials said Dr Shakeel did not use the polio campaign to help CIA track down Osama bin Laden in his Bilal Town in Abbottabad, but even then people were suspecting their activities.

“We are recording a sharp increase in the number of families that refused to get children vaccinated after Taliban imposed a ban on polio drive in North Waziristan due to Dr Shakeel’s alleged involvement in carrying out fake polio campaign in Abbottabad,” said a District Health Communication Support Officer who wished to remain anonymous.

According to officials, parental fatigue and too much pressure by Unicef on the officials to counter refusals was resulting in the parents thinking negatively about the campaign.

“What can we do if Dr Shakeel propaganda is not losing momentum and all the efforts of the communication officers are directed towards cricketer Shahid Afridi,” said one of the communication officers.

He was of the opinion that spending US$ 700,000 by Unicef on highlighting Shahid Afridi has had no impact and that after the mass media campaign, the question of Dr Shakeel Afridi was put much more times to the Social Mobilizers and other communication officials.

“Initially only educated families were asking us about Dr Shakeel, but now the poor and uneducated people ask us first about him when we go for campaign,” remarked one of the communication officers.

About the decision of Unicef officials in Karachi to boycott polio drive in case they were forced to go in the field, they said the officials of KP stood by the decision of the Karachi officials and a similar decision would be taken if security to the staff in KP was not ensured.

Regarding the increasing number of refusals by parents in the province, the officials said that staffer was effectively countering old refusals but the issue was with the fresh wave of such cases.

“Sometimes we convince families but when polio campaign begins they again refuse drops to kids due to misconception in their minds. It takes three to four campaigns before any family can be fully convinced,” an official said.

He felt too much focus and money being pumped into polio rounds in the name of mass media campaigns and stars like cricketer Shahid Afridi was negatively impacting the initiative as the core issue of Dr Shakeel Afridi still remained unaddressed.

“The similarity of the names of Dr Shakeel Afridi and Shahid Afridi is also an issue because it may be reminding parents about Shakeel Afridi,” said an official.

from The News (opinion piece posted in full). A liberal in TSP having difficulty in speaking his country's name even as he speak of it's ill's. TSP is morphing into Lord Voldemort in the minds of its citizens. BTW this paki being a paki decides to malign Denmark all the while hinting it is TSP.
Let us haste to hear it

The writer is an Islamabad-based poet and author.

Each state and society has its issues. But the intensity and variety of issues we have seem incomparable to any other. It is not something but everything that is rotten in the state of Denmark, to twist a quote from Shakespeare.

Twisted we are. In the twenty-first century, which other society or legal system in the world will allow a minor girl, born into any faith, to be put behind bars on charges of apostasy or blasphemy? In a religious riot, why would we burn buffaloes alive unless we think they have the same faith as their herders? Where else, even in the Muslim world, are the superior courts more concerned about the content of advertisements shown on the television around Iftar time in the holy month of Ramazan rather than people belonging to a Muslim sect being hounded out of a passenger bus and killed in the same holy month? Mind you, that was not the first or an isolated incident of its kind.

Why do we want to stop people belonging to a minority faith from leaving our country, when the message given to us through our clerics, teachers and school curriculum from day one is that they are quintessentially wicked and narrow minded and we sought independence from them more than from our colonial masters? Where else in the world do the political leaders who thrive on torturing or eliminating their opponents, including people who speak a different language, have the audacity to condemn other kinds of killings, like the ones that happen in the name of religion?

In which other nation, would you find a political party whose leader condemns the murder of a man one day and his spokesperson makes a speech in solidarity with the murderer the next day, and the devotees who believe in the promise of this new political choice fail to find any contradiction?

Some citizens of the state of Denmark are not simply intolerant. We are becoming obsessed with eliminating difference – the difference of any kind. It may well be a difference in opinion, political views, ideology, faith, jurisprudence, language, tribe, caste or creed. We want everyone to look like us, feel like us, think like us and act like us.

The other obsession that is seeking new heights among the male population in the state of Denmark is the obsession with controlling a woman’s body and mind. These could be women of our own faith or of other faiths. Particularly the young and attractive ones among the minority faiths must be controlled, betrothed and married, if not raped. As far as the womenfolk from our own faith are concerned, we are capable of burying them alive if they want to marry someone they like. We would throw acid on their faces if they do not obey our commands, cut their noses, parade them naked and blow up their schools. Our pious men do not find the prowess to impose our values on infidel men and women outside the state of Denmark so we settle for imposing these on our own women.

Let us now see how we relate to the outside world today. Speak of the Americans first before we move on to our neighbours. For over a decade, our country is an ally with the Americans and some thirty-eight countries in the war against Al-Qaeda and Taliban. However, when the leader of Al-Qaeda, Osama bin Laden, was found and killed in a hideout located in a prominent town in the state of Denmark, the whole world was shocked and wanted to know how could this have possibly happened. Were we complicit or incompetent? But that didn’t worry us as much. Rather we found ourselves bogged down with the questions like how the Americans got to know of the hideout and how their choppers flew into our territory without being detected by our radar system. Besides, the more pious among us in the citizenry of the state of Denmark continue to ask a simple question. Why weren’t the intruding American choppers struck down by the elite aircraft that we have bought from the same Americans?

Then they started saying that this never happened. Osama was not there. In the same way as one of my uncles tell me about the pious of his times. They never believed that Neil Armstrong landed on the moon. How could an infidel do that? It is only our Ruet-e-Hilal Committee that has the prerogative of deciding anything about the moon.

After Americans, it is the Afghan neighbours of the state of Denmark who impact on our policy choices increasingly. They do not trust us and blame us for fuelling insurgency in their country. We don’t trust them either and apportion similar blames, so that’s fine.

With the good old Indians, the trust deficit, the lack of confidence and an uncertainty about the future stays in the air. While trade and commerce are being promoted, parliamentarians visit each other’s country, track two dialogues and literary events are organised, a morbid animosity towards each other is also allowed to flourish. We must not forget that it was just a few years ago that terrorist attacks in Mumbai took place. Both confusion and embarrassment were compounded by the presence of our foreign minister in India at that time.

We also see an Indian hand in any trouble that we find in our backyard. It may well be true. But for how long cam this tit for tat continue? Indians have given us names and dossiers of those individuals and institutions living in the state of Denmark who had struck in the past and wish to strike more terror in India.

The Iranian neighbours were unhappy for both territorial and religious reasons. They think one of their subversive outfits was provided safe havens and support from our land. We couldn’t stop Iranian engineers and emissaries from being killed and their premises from being attacked. The plight of Shia Muslims in Pakistan also perturbs Iran. We are trying to mend fences with them but it is not the best of relationships. We tend to side with the Saudis who harbour a permanent feud with Iran.

The People’s Republic of China is perhaps the only friendly neighbour that we have. But we allowed a situation where they were pushed to think that even if we did not let it foster, we are certainly not doing enough to curb unrest among the Muslim population of Xinjiang. Rightly or wrongly, China saw links to the militancy in its province to territories that fall within our control. Could we afford losing China as a friend? Has anyone heard China condemn the American drones striking our tribal areas?

It is time for serious introspection in our state of Denmark. We don’t want this to end in a tragedy. We don’t want Hamlet, Claudius, Gertrude and Laertes dead with only Horatio living to tell our tale. We have burnt ourselves down with a fire kindled by a false sense of past glory, bigotry and ignorance. We have to rise from the ashes like a phoenix reborn – the individual embraces the enlightened world of science and art, the society becomes humane and pluralistic, and, the state reinvents its policy paradigm.

from The News (article posted in full). This is a direct fallot of the Rimsha blasphemy case. 600 Families i.e. atleast 2000 people from Rimsha's town were forced to leave their homes and leave their property. They are trying to resettle in a shanty town in a different place except the Muslims in the other sector do not want them either and will not let them settle near them. This is a human tragedy that no one within Aman ki Asha group will touch because it will show the true face of TSP to everyone. I am surprised the bleeding heart liberals in the west are not highlighting this injustice. Rimsha case got coverage all across the media but the true tragedy for 2000 people is being ignored by all and sundry.

National CDA allows ‘Katchi Abadi’ in capital amid protests from residents
By Muhammad Anis - Wednesday, August 29, 2012

Islamabad: Another slum is in the making as the Capital Development Authority (CDA), amid strong protest from the residents of Sector G-9/4, has, in principle, decided to allow around 600 Christian families to settle in the heart of the capital.

According to details, Christian families, who claim that they have been displaced from village Mehra Badi (Sector G-11) where a minor girl, Rimsha, allegedly committed blasphemous act and they face life threats there, wanted to settle down in Sector G-9/4 in the space between a children’s park and a ‘nullah’.

Sources in the Capital Development Authority told ‘The News’ that the CDA officials, after seeking permission from civic body’s top management, told the Christian families that they would be allowed to stay in Sector G-9/4 temporarily for three months if they furnish an affidavit that they would vacate the area after passage of the stipulated time.

The atmosphere became volatile when the residents of Sector G-9/4, who also staged a protest demonstration on Tuesday, said they would not allow the CDA to raise another ‘katchi abadi’ saying that they would not vacate the area whatever guarantee is given by them. “The ‘katchi abadi’ will not only do away with the calm and peace of the locality, but will also create law and order situation,” said Muhammad Ayub, a resident of Sector G-9/4.

He said if the CDA wants to provide shelter to the Christian families then they should be moved out of the city where they could feel secure.

Dr. Robinson Asghar, who is coordinator of the adviser to the prime minister, Dr. Paul Bhatti, along with other minority leaders, visited the families who are staying in the children’s park adjacent to the Federal Government Model High School, G-9/4, and assured them of solution to their problems.

Dr. Robinson, while talking to ‘The News,’ admitted that there are around 150 families who left village Mehra Badi, but so far 600 families have surfaced who wanted to settle down in Sector G-9/4.

He said the CDA officials have sought undertaking from the elders of the families that they would vacate the place after three months. “The CDA has sought two days to take the final decision,” he said.

He said that with cooperation of religious leaders from Muslim and Christian communities, they have been trying to defuse tension.

The CDA chairman, member planning and the director-general planning were not available on their mobile phones to comment on the matter.

Hindu group behind 26/11: Indian journalist
By Murtaza Ali Shah - Wednesday, August 29, 2012

LONDON: A renowned Indian journalist and Dalit rights campaigner has claimed a Hindu extremist organisation played a role in the Mumbai bombings of 2008 which killed 164 people and wounded more than 300.

The Indian govt have always maintained that Pakistan-based Islamic militants affiliated with LeT carried out the coordinated shooting and bombing attacks in India’s largest city but VT Rajshekar, famous Indian leader of the Dalits and a journalist of long standing, made the shocking revelation at a seminar in London that a secret extremist Brahminical organisation called Abhinav Bharat had a role in the bombings that shook India and brought the two nuclear powers to the brink of an all-out war. He quoted from the book, ‘Who killed Karakare?’ by a senior police officer Musharif, which he released in Bombay.

Rajshekar, whose son Salil Shetty is the Secretary General of Amnesty International, told participants of London Institute of South Asia (LISA) that Indian Army Colonel Srikanth Purohit, who was allegedly involved in the Samjhota Express train bombings, is also a member of the same secret Brahminical organisation which has deep anti-Muslim agenda. He added this Brahminical organisation is well looked after in a jail in Nasik, Maharashtra. Rajshekar said Abhinav Bharat is also behind the killing of Mumbai police officer Hemant Karakare.

Rajshekar, who is the editor of Dalit Voice, claimed that those involved in attacks are currently in a jail in a town called Nazik in Maharashtra. “They are all Brahmins and upper castes and well looked after by the state,” said the Dalit Voice editor, in reference to the superiority of Brahmin caste in Indian life. He claimed the major part of the Mumbai terror attacks were carried out by Abhinav Bharat and the same organisation was involved in a series of attacks against Muslims. He said the serving lieutenant colonel who heads the secret extremist organisation has visited Israel twice and allegedly the Jewish state has given the organisation money and arms to attack Muslims.

He said the Indian Intelligence (IB) was fully aware of this. He said media knew f about this but didn’t highlight it because they are all “blood brothers”. Dalits form 20 percent of Indian population but don’t have any human rights.

from The News (article posted in full). PPP vs Judiciary match keeps getting interesting.

Govt set to pit media squad against judiciary, opposition
By Dilshad Azeem - Wednesday, August 29, 2012
APP managing director neither confirms nor denies

ISLAMABAD: The PPP-led government is all set to put in place a selected media squad in the state-run Associated Press of Pakistan (APP) to counter the independent judiciary and use it against the opposition in the general election.

“Some 70-100 media persons are to be inducted in the Special Grade, Grade 1 and Grade 2, mostly on regular basis rather than contract or temporary basis after a special cell has been established,” officials told The News.

They maintained that interviews and offers were underway to bring persons from various newspapers, electronic media and news agencies despite the fact that an ordinary inductee takes a decade to get a moveover in his grade.

“The new inductees will be taken directly in the Special Grade, Grade 1 or Grade 2, and not less than this. However, the newcomers in other sections will be in lower scales,” they said.

The officials said the criterion for the new recruitments would not be the educational qualification but the relevant person being pro-PPP, anti-judiciary and anti-PML-N.

When contacted for a comment, APP Managing Director (MD) Tehseen Rao neither endorsed nor rejected the massive recruitment, including in other sections such as computer, ABC, etc, in financially crippled state-owned organisation.

The APP managing director advised this correspondent to visit his office for having his organisation’s version but he was not available at his first-floor office even after one hour.

Rao, who himself set the timing for his version, appeared to be rude and discourteous as neither he informed in advance that he had some kind of preoccupation nor expressed regret after he returned from somewhere.

“The organisation overburdened with employees, is facing a serious financial crunch as medical bills are pending for serving employees whereas salary is being released later than the previously set dates,” officials said.

A number of senior employees of the print and electronic media organisations, other than the Jang Group, were witnessed around the MD’s office as the sources revealed that the major strength would be enhanced in the capital.

The government, the sources said, plans to use some key news anchors, top-notch journalists of different newspapers and media groups and the official media, to launch an offensive against the judiciary.

A parallel campaign has already been launched on the social media fronts, with pro-government activists, politicians and opinion makers criticising the judiciary and making personal attacks on Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry, his family and his fellow judges on Twitter and Facebook.

Special messengers have delivered letters to the “select” candidates for interviews so as to help launch the campaign soon. “The senior journalists have been called without issuance of letters and will be inducted in Special Grade and Grade 1,” the officials said.

The officials said that the new inductees would have hefty salaries, despite the fact that the recruitment was without financial sanction and in violation of all rules and regulations.

The induction of 70-100 people from print and electronic media all over the country in the cash-starved organisation is being made despite a ban on recruitments with the APP already facing a number of court cases such as ‘illegal’ appointments, pilferage of Provident Fund, income tax and violation of rules and regulations.

TIRP
An audible release of air derived from pockets of air caught between two individuals during intercourse. The sound is most commonly derived from the stomach or chest area and during a very heated and sweaty session. The sound is similar to a flatulence.
This sounds may also be derived from the sucking noise of two bodies separating during intercourse.

Hajam Sethi Ki Pethi
My main concern is not patriotism or nationalism. It’s that Pakistan should not fall victim to imperialist policies by Pakistan’s military or by the Pentagon in the region. I’d like to see a prosperous, safe, secure, secular Pakistan. I’d like to see a rollback of radical political Islam. I think if you don’t give the Pakistani military a certain degree of security, it is capable of adventures in the area ruinous for Pakistan and for the region. I’d like Pakistan to build peace with India. I’d like the Americans to withdraw from Afghanistan. I don’t mind if the Taliban rule Afghanistan. But I would mind very much if they began to export their ideology to Pakistan. I’d certainly like to see the Pakistani military taking its rightful place beneath the civilians, not above the civilians. And I’d like to see the civilians in Pakistan flourish and prosper. The good news here is that civilians now across the board want to redress civil-military relations. They’re not happy with the Pakistan Army’s military adventures in India and Afghanistan. The civilians want to build peace in the region. They want to aid and they want to trade, and they want to build an enlightened country. And I want to be part of that process.

The idea that Taliban can take over Afghanistan, but not have an ideological effect on Pakistan is ridiculous. There is a hidden, anti-India, motive, why Sethi "doesn't mind" if Afghanistan is handed over to them.

With all its current troubles, Pakistan has not been attracting much foreign investment recently. In fact, China seems to be the only country that's prepared to pour money into Pakistan in a big way.

But a boost in Chinese investment has sparked resentment in southern Pakistan, where activists accuse China of trying to be a new colonial power. A bomb blast recently hit near the Chinese Consulate in Karachi — an ominous sign of the rising tensions.

"The enemy won't break us. Long live Sindh!" the crackly voice says.
China and Pakistan have been allies for decades, and China recently pledged to greatly increase its investment in Pakistan, from $7 billion to $30 billion a year.

In Sindh, the Zulfiqarabad megacity has just broken ground — and prompted a local boycott of Chinese goods.

"China project unacceptable," protesters chanted at a recent rally in Karachi. "Let your voices be heard all the way to China," they screamed.

Delhi pact
Delhi Pact, also called Nehru-Liaquat Pact, pact made on April 8, 1950, following the escalation of tension between India and Pakistan in East Pakistan (now Bangladesh) after economic relations between the two countries had been severed in December 1949. An estimated one million people—Hindus from East Pakistan and Muslims from West Bengal—crossed the borders during 1950.

In spite of the opposition of his colleague Vallabhbhai Patel, Jawaharlal Nehru, prime minister of India, concluded a pact with Liaquat Ali Khan, prime minister of Pakistan, whereby refugees were allowed to return unmolested to dispose of their property, abducted women and looted property were to be returned, forced conversions were unrecognized, and minority rights were confirmed. Minority commissions were established to implement these terms, and confidence was in fact restored for a time; however, in the months following the pact, more than a million additional refugees migrated to West Bengal. The continuing struggle over Kashmir also strained relations between the two countries.
India has kept its words and done in the spirit of the pact but not pakis. Even today India does not voice concerns and take effective steps towards minorities in tsp. :((

Another name for TSP - Al Absurdistan !
by Sabir Nazar in Yawn
The United Nations is a puppet in the hands of the United States and its job is to clean up the mess created by super powers. The UNSC resolution 1368 gave the US and Nato a killing license in Al-Afghanistan; and the Indians are using the soil of Afghanistan to encircle Al-Absurdistan. But … Al-Absurdistan wants to resolve the Kashmir issue according to the UNSC resolution 47 of the United Nations.

We shall protest against the killings of the Rohingya Muslims of Burma and call OIC to take notices of injustice to Rohingya Muslims, Palestinians, Chechens, Kashmiris, Afghans and Uighurs. But … condemning the killing of Shias in Al-Absurdistan is projecting a negative image of Al-Absurdistan.

Al-Absurdistan believes in the right of self-determination for Kashmiris in India and their right to govern themselves by the plebiscite under the UN resolution. But … when Bengalis wanted self-determination to break up with Al-Absurdistan, they were agents of India. And now Balochistan, demanding separation from Al-Absurdistan, is obviously the agent of India.

When Christians were living in the Dark Ages, Muslims progressed in all fields of Science. The Western world learned everything from Muslim scientists, scholars and inventors. The word Chemistry is derived from the Arabic word ‘Chemia’, But … Western education taught in Al-Absurdistan is a conspiracy against Muslims, being used to enslave the children of Al-Absurdistan.

The last time America came to Afghanistan to help our jihadi boys to defeat Russia, we wanted her to stay and keep sending dollars, arms and visas to jihadis. Americans betrayed Al-Absurdistan and ran away from Afghanistan leaving us in a lurch. This time the Americans want to stay and keep their bases in Afghanistan. But … this time we don’t want them to stay.

Christians during the Dark Ages burnt coffee beans and attacked coffee shops in Paris as coffee was considered a Muslim drink and they thought that Christians were being enslaved by Islamic education. They burnt the books of Ibn Rushd and Arabic was banned in universities. But … we want to ban their language and cola drinks because, you guessed it, they are enslaving Muslims.

NGOs that receive foreign aid from Western countries (who fund human rights, child education, women rights), bring a Western agenda into Al-Absurdistan. But … NGOs that take foreign aid from Eastern countries (who fund sectarian and jihadi outfits) does not bring a Eastern agenda into Al-Absurdistan.

Communist Russians are atheist who are against Islam and are trying to reach warm waters. They were defeated in Afghanistan. But … China is our eternal friend and we built Gwader with their help to provide access to warm waters.

European tourists who come to Al-Absurdistan shall wear shalwar kameez, should not drink or kiss in public as that would hurt the sensibilities of Al-Absurdistanis. But … a ban on the veil in Europe is against human rights and symbolic of Islamophobia in the West.

For the last 65 year, 3 lac Muslims go to Hajj annually, 2 million attend the Raiwind congregation every year, 35 thousand madrassahs impart religious education to thousands of students. Mosques, television, Friday prayer, milads, and our school textbooks all speak of the teachings of Islam to our students. But … the current mess in Al-Absurdistan is because we have left the teachings of Islam.

The presidential immunity is against Islam, because all are equal in Islam and the rulers are answerable to all. But … the Contempt of Court law is against the constitution.

Al-Absurdistan was created in the name of Islam and according to the Objective Resolution, all laws contrary to Islam can not be implemented. It’s the duty of public office holders to implement the Islamic law and punishments in Al-Absurdistan. But … since Jihad is a private matter, it can not be left to an un-Islamic government to declare it.
Or should it be Munafiqistan?

Inshaallah, we need more guys like Agha Waqar to debunk gravity, photosynthesis etc.Soon Hoodbuoy will be wajibul-cutlet. He will truely become "hoodboy" with a real burkha.

The place where Agha quotes Max Planck and talks about resonce and passing frequency wind thru water to produce energy to store the battery is priceless.

Listening to this guy, Science minister and AQ Khan etc, I am convinced now that the Paki nukes are nothing but nukes maintained by China and US in secure locations in Lalaland designed with a specific purpose of threatening India.

Mistaking handshakes for friendship
Pakistan, we are told, has an archenemy and a steadfast friend at its borders. Telling them apart, however, may not be that easy.

One neighbour, where Muslims are a minority, has declared Eid festival a national holiday for all. The other neighbour discourages Muslims from fasting and attending mosques during working hours. One neighbour allows Muslim to practice their faith as they see fit; the other tries to regulate Islamic practices. One neighbour facilitates Muslims’ annual pilgrimage to Makkah by building dedicated complexes near airports. The other permits only the elderly, or those who the State finds patriotic, to perform the Hajj (pilgrimage). Pakistanis share culture, cuisine, and history with one neighbour. With the other no extensive cultural bonds exist.

Despite the State’s tight clamp on the 23 million Chinese Muslims in the northwest, Pakistanis continue to consider China a steadfast friend. Whereas, Indian Muslims practice their faith without government meddling, Pakistanis consider India an archenemy.
t was only in 2009 when 150 people died in Urumqi, capital of Xinjiang, when the Muslim Uighurs demanded greater religious freedoms. While the protest-happy Jamat-i-Islami has been quick to condemn the Burmese authorities for ill-treating Burmese Muslims, Jamat and other ‘champions’ of Muslims causes remained eerily quiet on Uighurs. With China officially designated as a friend, even the religious zealots in Pakistan willingly ignore China’s indiscretions against the Muslim minority.
champions’ of Muslims causes. :rotfl:

Isn't pak army the champion of muslim causes? Has it changed now?
The Pakistan-China ‘friendship’ represents more of a strategic defence partnership between Pakistan and China than a grassroots movement based on people-to-people cultural ties. Pakistan has, until recently, served the same purpose for China’s ‘strategic depth’ vis-à-vis India as Afghanistan has served for Pakistan. By having an unsympathetic Pakistan on the India’s western borders, China must have found it convenient to deal with India from the other side, especially after China’s war with India in 1962.
Hilarious, Founder of the state Mohammad ali jinah was too proud of the Geo-strategic value pakistan had. It took 6 decades for them to realize, different entities used pakistan as a strategic depth.
Less than a decade after Sino-India war, Pakistan played the role of a fixer by facilitating a secret rendezvous for Henry Kissinger with the Chinese leadership. The Chinese were until then isolated from the rest of the western world. The clandestine ‘Ping-Pong diplomacy’ between the US and China was hosted by the Pakistanis that resulted in ending China’s isolation. For this, the Chinese have been grateful. However, 40 years later, the Chinese are getting tired of doing favours for Pakistan in return. This was explicitly obvious recently from China’s refusal to assist Pakistan in a crisis with the balance of payments. Moreover, China and India together are now part of the global value chains where a military conflict between the two is highly remote, thus further reducing Pakistan’s utility to the Chinese defence strategy

Article by a IM:

Separated at birth( TIRP and Israel)

India and Israel are often likened to each other, but it is Pakistan that Israel resembles the most

Much is made these days of the apparent likeness between India and Israel. Both are supposed to be modern democracies. Both, it is pointed out, are also fighting Islamic terrorism. But this is a superficial comparison. There is no dearth of modern democracies in the post-Cold War world, and no dearth of nations fighting Islamic terror either, post-9/11. For two nations to be considered alike, they ought to be similar in ways that are more fundamental and, at the same time, that also set them apart from other nations.

It is not India but Pakistan that shares a number of such traits with Israel.
Both Pakistan and Israel were carved out through partitions of historically and culturally unified territories within a year of each other: Pakistan in August 1947 and Israel in May 1948. Pakistan was created by splitting the Indian subcontinent, tearing asunder people who, while belonging to different religions, shared a common cultural heritage and had together fought their war of Independence. It created fissures even within ethnic communities — Punjabis in the west, Bengalis in the east and, a year later, Kashmiris in the north. The same happened when Israel was carved out of historical Palestine, dividing Arabs to the west of the Jordan river for the first time.

Two, neither partition was peaceful. Hundreds of thousands of people had to leave their homes in both instances to become refugees in what, just days earlier, had been their own land. Pakistan’s creation saw more than 10 million people migrate on either side of the border, many driven away by their neighbours. Nearly a million are believed to have died in the pogroms that ensued. While eloquent espousals of nationalism and patriotism poured out of leaders at bully pulpits, the slit throats of citizens spattered blood in the streets.
Three, neither Pakistan nor Israel has clearly defined its borders since its creation. It’s not just that their neighbours don’t agree with them, but both these nations have themselves stopped short of stating precisely where they want their borders to be. While India categorically specifies the borders it claims in Kashmir, Pakistan’s position is ambiguous at best. It calls the portion it conquered in 1947-48 “Azad Kashmir” (Independent Kashmir), but Pakistan’s army exercises even more control over the lives of Azad Kashmiris than over the average Pakistani. It even has an Azad Kashmir Regiment — headquartered in Punjab.

Israel has also desisted from stating exactly how large or small it intends to be. For more than 20 years, even the Palestinian Authority has recognised the so-called Green Line — which defined Israeli territory until the 1967 war — as the international border subject to a two-state solution (that would create a Palestinian state). Israel itself, however, does not recognise the Green Line anymore. Nor does it say where it would draw its own Line, all the while grabbing more land in the West Bank for Jewish settlements.

Four, both Pakistan and Israel have fought wars of aggression against neighbours. The India-Pakistan conflicts of 1947-48, 1965 and 1999 were the result of Pakistani aggression. It also waged a proxy war in Afghanistan in the 1980s, a misadventure from which it is yet to dissociate itself. Israel’s wars are still more numerous. It attacked Egypt in 1956, Lebanon in 1982 and 2006, and Palestinians in the West Bank and Gaza on numerous occasions. Gaza remains under Israeli siege even today.
Six, both Pakistan and Israel nurture exclusivist national identities, concerned more with who does not belong to them than with who does. Created as a homeland for Muslims, Pakistan has always treated Hindus, Sikhs and other non-Muslims as second-class citizens. But that isn’t all.

Various categories of Muslims — migrants from India, Ahmadis, Shias, Baluchis and so on — have also found it difficult to integrate into Pakistani society and are perpetually blamed for all its social and political ills.

Israel was created as a homeland for Jews, and it treats Arabs as second-class citizens. But many Jews too — black Jews, Sephardic Jews, Mizrahi Jews, Russian-origin Jews and so on — face rampant discrimination. Hundreds of thousands of Israelis of Jewish ancestry are simply not considered Jews by law and struggle to be a part of Israeli society.
That is where India differs from both these nations. Imagined as a country of infinite communities, we have largely remained true to this founding principle. Muslims running away from riots in Gujarat or Assam, Biharis fleeing persecution in Maharashtra and Northeasterners escaping prejudice in South India are still exceptions in a nation that culturally and constitutionally believes in diversity. This belief, more than anything else, is the source of our national identity.

No foreign troops to be allowed in Fata

Massa and its Rakassa Noice ,No TIRPing But BIRPing Only
WASHINGTON: The United States and Pakistan are not planning a joint military operation in tribal areas as Islamabad will not allow foreign troops on its soil, officials familiar with talks between the two countries on this issue say. According to the officials, the two sides have discussed various options for combating terrorism in the tribal areas and Pakistan has assured the Americans that it too views the militants as enemies of the state and is already engaged in fighting them.Pakistan also expressed its desire to conduct a military operation against the militants, particularly those hiding in Waziristan, but told the Americans it would itself decide “when and how to conduct that operation”.In a recent meeting with American journalists in Washington, a group of Pakistani officials explained that the media was causing “much confusion” by using the term joint operation.A joint operation, one official explained, would include troops from both sides while in recent US-Pakistan talks on various options for combating militants in Fata “neither side even vaguely suggested” sending US troops into the area.“Both sides, however, did discuss options for squeezing militants operating along the Pak-Afghan border,” said an official familiar with the talks.“They are believed to have reached an understanding which requires the other side to seal the border when one side conducts a major operation inside its territory,” the official said. This understanding comes from the realisation that the Taliban had established safe havens on both sides of the border and were using them to attack targets inside Pakistan and Afghanistan.

Based on the videos I saw: This fellow is very clever. He is not electrolysing water using the current from car battery, that is not enough to supply the stream of hydrogen to propel the car. Neither is he connecting a gas tank/hydrogen tank to the car. What the Paki is doing is having a block of calcium carbide, dripping water on it and piping the acetylene back to the engine.

Watched the entire video of Agha Waqar and his water kit.

I have great admiration for this Agha Waqar fellow  We need more of him (in Pakistan). He embodies Pakistaniyat perfectly, understands his audience and plays them like a violin!

Pervez Hoodbhoy says "You dont understand science" fellow responds with "Oh so you snob with fancy schmancy degrees dont think an ordinary fellow like me knows things?" The other fellow says "How can energy be produced out of nothing", fellow responds with "Look at all these printouts I have from Harvard university, Michigan university about Max Planck (or Maxwell? I forget) who talks about radiation and free energy. What does "free energy" mean hain? Energy comes for free!!"

So the Pakistaniyat displayed here is:

1. Making it a common man vs Snobbish educated elite thing
2. Making it appear as though Snobbish elite is not interested in Justice by ignoring his "Proofs" (of some random printouts from the internet)
3. Appealing to patriotism by declaring that he wants to supply water kit to whole of Pakistan but conspiratorial western educated scientists are preventing it

The only thing that is left to do is to name his waterkit as "Prophet" and then throw around blasphemy accusations on people who declare that they dont believe in his prophet. 8)

Alas, it was a rumour
Ass im Da Far Khaan
Jaldi kya hai, all is well in Uppar and Neeche
When the recently deceased astronaut Neil Armstrong landed on the moon, the first thing he heard was the azaan. And later when he returned to mother earth, the first thing he did was embrace Islam, and spent the rest of his days extolling the virtues of his new found religion to his fellow astronauts. Here’s some more truth about good old Neil: He was involved in sowing the seeds for Al-Qaeda, and his visit to Pakistan in the early seventies with Buzz Aldrin was just a cover. He was actually here to meet with an Egyptian by the name of Abdullah Yusuf Azzam, who was Osama bin Laden’s spiritual leader/teacher. All this falls in place with the entire theory that Al-Qaeda is actually a western creation, made so that the Muslims of the world can be persecuted against wherever they may be.
Islam needed heroes. Heroes it hadn’t conjured up in years, even decades. And it was doubly important because the moon was involved. The same moon which had borne witness to Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). And so, somebody knitted a rumour together, and got the ball rolling. And since, when it comes to matters of the faith, the question of questioning does not exist, the rumour snowballed into truth.
There are many who must be shaking their heads in disbelief, questioning the entire premise of this discourse. However, you (and me) are not from the majority
.Rumour mongers have been around since time immemorial. And they’ll be around till the play ends. To move ahead as a people, as a religious community, we need to acquire the ability to question facts put to us, even if they seem rock solid. After all, a man’s word is not God’s word. Even if he dons a beard.Moving away from Neil Armstrong and the lack of heroes, we need to entertain the possibility that we have been lied to, in other spheres as well. Our history is strewn with truths enforced on us. Did India really instigate all the four wars or were we the perpetrators? What happened in Dhaka in that winter of ‘71? What’s the real grievance in Balochistan? There are many such questions, and a serious dearth of truthful answers.Only once we embark on the journey of truth may we come to realise that all isn’t how it’s been told to us, and in many areas, we ourselves are to blame. Perhaps then, we can get on the long road to recovery

My Hindu friend
There is a distinctive pattern to how the Pakistani media handles developments and issues – like a womaniser holding on to a relationship as long as it gratifies him then ditching it and looking for another ‘conquest’. Our media operates in pretty much the same way. A recent ‘crush’ it has moved on from is the issue of Hindu families in Sindh migrating to India.
There is still a fair degree of ambiguity surrounding the matter. It is unclear whether the families are on a pilgrimage or have left for good after deciding that they cannot put up with the unfair treatment they are receiving back home. The government sees it as yet another ‘grand conspiracy’ to give it a bad name, while the representatives of the Hindu community exemplify the crab mentality – pulling each other down and denting their own cause in the process.Whatever the truth is, one thing is for sure : being born a Hindu in Pakistan means the start of a despairing journey, treading a path laced with thorns. It is generally perceived that the trauma of being a Pakistani Hindu is only faced by the poor. That is not true. The wealthy may not be forced to leave their homes or be flogged by a landlord but they too have much to contend with in a society where only a small percentage would actually be willing to share a glass with them.My mind goes back to a mild-mannered Hindu classmate and friend, with whom I spent much of my school years. I still remember how he always stood arms crossed in the morning assembly line at school, motionless, his gaze continuously fixed on the ground, as the rest of us recited Quranic verses.
Then there were all those countless hours he had spent head
down in the classroom when we studied Islamiat. After the eighth grade, he was allowed to take a stroll outside rather than doing that, but the torment he suffered in the Pakistan Studies period was inescapable. The pile of misery poured on that poor soul, in fact all of us, was unbearable.Much of our Pakistan Studies book was a pack of lies. It was a malicious tool to inject young, gullible minds with hate and vindictiveness. It glorified Muslim marauders as heroes and portrayed rulers of other faiths as villains. I often wondered how my friend dealt with that. Studying a book which preached that followers of his religion were evil and despicable and Muslims the epitome of goodness and piety must have been tremendously painful for him.The biggest relief to my friend was that his classmates had no qualms about his faith, the only exception being an air force official’s eccentric son, who not only used to taunt him, but also once kicked him several times while reciting the Kalima. My friend and I never discussed the ordeal he was going through, but despite the shell of insouciance he had surrounded himself with, his eyes were a giveaway. That void of loneliness, the hurt of not belonging; sometimes his glazed look showed it all.
He is now a doctor residing in the US and has a beautiful family. The bitter experiences of his childhood and adolescence days will be distant, but probably recurring, memories
