looks like the NoKo roundel which I think is unlikely.
I think vietnam is the most likely candidate. shoulder patches tend to vary.
edit : but cap insignia doesn't seem to match. see http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-kgMMR5iavqg/U ... G_4965.JPG
you can ask the RAF WingCo on his blog.

Hand in Hand exercise.
400% sure the Chinese named this exercise "hand in hand"

sirji generally they will fly clean most of the time in parctice. Then there will be specific practice sorties that will be flown with ACMI and practice rounds for Aams and Agms like the r73 without fins or that kab 500 seeker head in a pod rounds. Then there will be some with live rounds. The mix of these will vary obviously depending on operational requirements ityadi. Loading the aircrafts with weapons all the time increases drag and stresses the airframe. Additionally they can simulate weapon launches a lot of time in the radar software also.

Great find Amitabh!!!
Looks like a 76 mm gun...I thought I saw a news report that the IN was transitioning to a 127 mm gun license manufactured at BHEL for future warships
Can't see the torpedo tubes either - perhaps we moved to internal LWT instead of that big ass HWT amidships
The bridge seems to be 2 levels...I can see two rows of windows...very unusual for warships

Re: Miscellaneous Pictures - Indian Military
yeah, why are the Indian warships carrying 76 mm cannons. All of the advanced navies have 105mm or 127mm cannons on their warships.
Re: Miscellaneous Pictures - Indian Military
So how many SAMs will it eventually have? 32 Barak 1 + 48 Barak 8? Or 32 + 64? Or even 16 + 32/48?

Seems to be some sort of multi functional sight? Like the DRDO IMFS.

If there is going to be only 1 Kolkata class per carrier group then 64 Barak-8 might be better from a fleet defence perspective. Other ships in the carrier group that can do fleet defence (maybe 1 Talwar/Shivalik) won't have such long range SAMs to take out the missile platforms.

Re: Miscellaneous Pictures - Indian Military
Merlin, there are no Barak-1 on the Kolkata, all SAMs are Barak-8/LRSAM
Re: Miscellaneous Pictures - Indian Military
Wow.. so it has a very small minimum engagement range and can take care of threats all the way from 70 odd km to right next to the ship?
Re: Miscellaneous Pictures - Indian Military
16 Brahmos VLS
48 (2 x 24) LRSAM VLS
4 (2 x 2) HWT TT
4 AK-630
1 OTO-76/62
2 Helicopters with their own weapons.
64 missiles are lesser than Delhi 96 missiles (16 Kh35 + 48 Shitil1 + 32 Barak1), but its sensors on ship & weapons are bleeding edge, enabling way much more with much less.
