He is hoping to tar and feather the BJP, if they chose to form government, with rebel MLA's of his own party.

His party will now announce unconditional support to BJP and this ******** will try and live to fight another day. But BJP is not made up of fools.

He is still defending his choice to break ties with BJP.

This opportunist should be finished right now. BJP should ask for fresh polls AND break JDU at the same time.

With him gone and no Rabri Devi to hand over power too, This house is 100% heading for dissolution.
There are no other players who can form govt without JD or BJP support.
Paswan and Lalu will be rubbing their hands in glee at the prospect of Nitish going away and some opening to rule the state again.
We need Modi as PM and Modi as CM of Bihar.

What a sad day for the man who once was rated as high as Namo and who was believed to be
ray of light and harbinger of progress in the land darkened by Lalu and his elk but hubris caused his doom.

At least he is decent enough that he has resigned. Mother-Son duo haven't even uttered the R-word.
If it was not mandatory, even MMS would have continued in his chair after the rout..

This Sanjay Nirupam is the only guy who is surprised at the massive margin of his loss in Mumbai. Anyone living in Mumbai could have told you about his terrible reputation as a dramebaaz who is absent from the constituency most of the time and only comes out of the woodwork to sit on some bogus dharna every now and then.

Punjab needs a lot of fixing, and if NaMo doesn't do it, then I am expecting Khalistani Movement to start again, even though only a tiny minority would want that!

Just as one had uprooted the evil of AAP from Delhi, it made Punjab its new base! Bahut Krantikari!

Am still in awe about the 7/14 seats BJP got in Assam to validate my feeling that it was going to be a BJP tsunami. But the Barpeta seat won by Sirajuddin Ajmal is a slap in the face of all Assamese Hindus. Shame on us. There was no way for BJP to win that seat at the beedis are an overt majority now. Mangaldoi was a close shave (22k votes).

IMO the first thing that needs to be done is honor the Assam Accord and begin detection and disenfranchisement asap. There is simply no way but for us to be ruthless in this, regardless of landholdings, voting papers, passports etc. If they can't clearly establish their roots post 1971, they immediately lose their right to vote. This is the first and minimum step that must be taken and that too, very quickly. We can expect a surge of incoming illegals who hope to slip in before the gates close.

IMO Nitish should take vanavas for a long time. In the aftermath of PAtna rally blasts where 6 people died, NItish said that Modi benefitted from the blasts. He also did not visit the victims. Something like that just before the elections can really really do a lot of damage.
It was Patna where Modi said "hindus/muslims can fight each other or fight poverty". all this buried Nitish.

The father-son duo has to be challenged from within SAD and BJP has to encourage it. May be when they loose the next AE.

They need to do this based on SC ruling. Do it fast and make sure to prosecute people who refused to disobey the SC judgement. Make sure Indians understand rule of law will be used to protect their interests.

I do not about you all folks, it is simply exhilarating to see an Indian PM doing puja to the chants of Rudram and Chamakam to Lord of Lords, Kashi Vishvanath, it is deeply symbolic that Narendra Modi will take his oath as an elected MP from Varanasi, the oldest city on earth, reasserts itself as the spiritual capital of this ancient Land. May we all be blessed!

It is truly a Uthishta Bharata moment!

Congress loses deposit in all seats in TN.

What is the SOP on such matters. Is that a weakness due to the parliamentary system, that a PM designate is not one till he is elected as such after the parliament convenes. Civics experts here, what is the opinion ?

In massa isn't the President designate accorded a higher level of security long before coronation.
