There would probably a smart algorithm to track one/two from a source since that is all that is required to pin point that source. Rest from that source can be ignored.tsarkar wrote:https://pbs.twimg.com/media/DUS2NSjVAAA7UiL.jpg
The simultaneous target tracking of 7 looks erroneous, otherwise a single Grad/BM-21 salvo of 40 rockets would overwhelm it.

I watched it online but video had DD logo on it, so presumably we watched same thing. Air quality was terrible, yes I heard the roar and focus on some random person. We need to fix our pollution first. Can't pussy-foot around it with cute terms like "mist" and "fog".shiv wrote:Doordarshan screwed up again. Showed face of some woman rather than Tejas.
My pet peeve with the Republic Day parade is the weather; Nai Dilli just doesn't pass the muster no more. The powers-that-be must either change the date or change the town/city where this is held. My preference is to move to another town/city with much better visibility at this time of the year.yensoy wrote:I watched it online but video had DD logo on it, so presumably we watched same thing. Republic day flypast weather was always bad - even before pollution became bad. It has been cancelled many times in the past.yensoy wrote: I watched it online but video had DD logo on it, so presumably we watched same thing. This phrase seems to be all over the news. I think they mean BMP II ("boevaya mashina pehoty" in russian which someone has translated as Ballway Machine Pikate)shiv wrote:Whaaa.....???![]()

I doubt it. PM2.5 was 175+, it is clearly particulate matter pollution suspended in air by fog, i.e. smog.prasannasimha wrote:It is actually Fog. The flypast as has been mentioned above has been cancelled in the past because of it. In fact that was also a concern this time but luckily the air cleared.
The guy on the right has been around for years. As an aside, did anyone notice how some of the parade participants were smiling this year? Usually everyone marching has a serious expression. Lots of regiment of artillery marching contingent members were smiling for the camera. Ditto for the Dogra regiment. The President's ADC was also smiling. A welcome change from previous years I think.Zynda wrote:Folks any pictures of SPG personnel who are not in the vicinity of PM this year? We used to get pictures of them from recent Republic Parades like these:
I searched but was not able to find pics from this year's parade.

True...It was the moment that gave me goosebumps...srinebula wrote:I liked the Maharashtra tableu. To hear "Jai Bhavani! Jai Shivaji" with waving of saffron flag on R'Day parade was an emotional moment. The ancient civilization of this land is still alive despite all odds!
