Yes that inherent bias will be there and it's unlikely that people who voice such opinions will get a say in NYT/Wapo opinion columns however my point is more about creating an international focused publication ourselves focused on and Indian and relevant strategic issues which can report facts but also insert some narrative. More like AJ/DW or hell when RT for that matter.A_Gupta wrote: ↑29 Apr 2024 09:11
IMO, there are quite a few good content creators. The issue is not content creation. It is that none of the gatekeepers of the West will publish them.
E.g., in the print media, a Rana Ayyub or Arundhati Roy will get a place in the New York Times, and similar folks will get into the New Yorker or The Atlantic or the Washington Post. But a Minhaz Merchant or a Palki Sharma -- not a chance. But without the means of dissemination in the West, it doesn't matter how much good content is there. The Indian Left has international ties that the Indian Right sorely lacks.
When the likes of Wapo/Guardian publish drivel about us it needs an effective counter.
