I have heard people on this forum refer to the Maldives as a submarine base or is this Psy-Ops?

Does India have any foreign Naval bases? China seems to have plenty - including in the Maldives. I thought they were meant to be an Indian ally.

China has their 'String of Pearls'. Does India have any foreign Naval/Air-bases? I think I heard of one in Tajikistan but other than that I have heard nothing.

Can anyone tell some details of AESA radars. I understand the theory of them and understand the advantages such as increased range, ability to track multiple targets and immune from enemy ECM. I have read in wikipedia that AESA radars cannot be detected by RWR due to lower power. Is this true? What ...
