Re: Miscellaneous Pictures - Indian Military
Hello! Posting a few pics of the Rafale A at the Le Bourget Air and Space Museum. Unfortunately, it was pouring that day, and I had to click snaps with one hand while clutching the umbrella with the other! http://i1181.photobucket.com/albums/x421/Raghunath10/IMG_0730.jpg http://i1181.photobucket.com...

Re: Aircraft Recognition
^ Shiv sir, I think I have a book of the same series, but on civilian aircraft. It has planes like the De havilland Comet etc. I can identify the style of presentation and the pics. Its a nice little book! Edit: The Coleoptor pic reminded me of this book I had read on the second world war titled &qu...

Re: Newbie Corner & Military Miscellaneous
RahulM saar as suggested by you I downloaded that Daniel P raymer's Aircraft design book, but its quite old in my opinion like 1989's edition. Also I am low on time and can afford to read one book only. So can you or anyone else please suggest a good aircraft designing book(latest preferably :P) as...

http://media.englishrussia.com/Ekranoplan_photos/2.jpg This one apparently is bigger than the A380  I was tinkering around on Google Earth and I found this bird without too much trouble at Kaspysk. Looks gigantic! I can imagine what US military observers must have felt when they first saw it...

It is for the pass out parade. I have seen the Sarang's in the past and they normally come in during the pass out parades. SKAT also has made some appearances (in the past). BTW where do you stay, I m in VimanNagar. Let me know! Added later to clear confusion (in the past!) Thanks Marten Thanks for...

Re: Newbie Corner & Military Miscellaneous
Abhinavjo, I was more surprised by the Peacocks. This is the first time i've seen them here. Also, they've been flying in 3 ship formations for about the last 3 hours. They've passed over my house atleast 5 times this morning. I was wondering whether the gurus here could shed some light on what the ...

Seems like a lot of air activity going on at lohegaon air base in pune. The Peacocks are here, and there 2-3 Sukhois also buzzing around. Any idea why? Some sort of rehearsal for something coming up?

Re: Newbie Corner & Military Miscellaneous
Hello all, This is my first post on BRF. Have been lurking for about 2 years. Anyway, I was recently watching a video on the MAKS 2005 and this thing I saw puzzled me. Two Su-30s were landing with a Su-47 between them. When they deployed their braking parachutes, they did not wait till their nose wh...
