The US Def Sec and MP thing carried by some news paper is just a face saving article. India has strongly condemend the same of AMARRAM which was sold under the guise of fighting terrorist and US Def sec had to say something nice to soothe the issue. I think Super 30 upgrade specs are still being finalized, but any idea how IAF plans on bringing in additional power needed for AESA radars? Roos has started integrating AL-41F-1S engines on their Su-30SM fighters. In addition to further thrust, the engines also provide additional electric power ne...

R-73 is not a state of art WVR missile and a Gen behind Python-5 and ASRAAM in terms of seeker technology.

But as fate would have the only two kills IAF has against PAF in recent time is via R-73 now and R-60 against PN Atlantique.

Read the report before making such "out-there" assertions. Quoting 1-2 paras from a media link which selectively parses the claim is also not enough.

It is quite clear from CAG report that IAF manipulated all the procurement process to favour Rafale , Chinook and in case of Apache the ASQR was alligned to buy Apache. If the IAF wanted to buy Rafale or Chinook or Apache it should have just done a G2G deal with them rather than start a multi vendor...

Mirage UPG and mki were in air why didn’t they use BVR when paf shot a bison using BVR ?
