Re: MiG-21 Bison shoots down F-16 in Kashmir

Apologies if posted previously, but a really good POV of the incident from a neutral viewpoint, also extensive referencing of COPE 2004/05: http://www.thedrive.com/the-war-zone/26880/enough-with-the-indian-mig-21-bison-versus-pakistani-f-16-viper-bullshit With their Elta-8222 jamming pods fired up a...

This is a vlogger, Amrikki, 'aviation enthusiast' that is pretty sure that the Pakis are lying. Comment section is interesting.

Re: MiG-21 Bison shoots down F-16 in Kashmir

A personal anecdote: Father was a Mig-21 Jockey, had back issues so was shifted into Pechoras. I was 15 and life goal was to be a F(P) too. One day visited a co-located Bis (not Bison, mind) Sqn 'somewhere in the western sector'. Had breakfast, hung out in the crew room. Along with the usual Playboy...

Re: Operation Balakot: News & Discussion

I have a theory for why there is no 'proof' shown by the GOI so far. Remember the Surgical Strike? There was absolute silence right after, while the idiots were clamoring for 'proof'. One year layer, enough proof was released by the Army to shut them up. Right after this 'Uri' released, and now the ...

Re: Indian Forces Strike Pakistan - News Only

This is what Trump was talking about. De-escalation imminent.

Oh, well.

A bit anti-climatic, but it allows GOI to walk away with a win at the end.

Re: Indian Forces Strikes Pakistan Terrorist Camps

Guys there will be inquiry into the crash, lets hope its a technical fault and not MANPAD, which represents more danger to our forces. Meanwhile we need the IAF to be bit more ruthless in taking out PAF fighters, BVR weapons, no need to identify target in times like these. We must press Pakis to gi...

Re: Indian Forces Strikes Pakistan Terrorist Camps

The removal of the notam concerns me as far as retribution is concerned. To the contrary, it reassures me. The events of the past hour show: 1. GOI is saying, "Our Turn Bi%%ches" 2. Also sending the message that "Life here will carry on as normal, but not in your land. Sleep well, an...

Re: Indian Forces Strikes Pakistan Terrorist Camps

very strange and kind of irresponsible press briefing. Entire nation is waiting for lot of answers but simple couple of sentences in whole day and that's it. What was the point of parading ACM during the brief? 1. That was not the ACM. ACM is Dhanoa. 2. It was a fantastic press briefing, the kind t...

Re: Indian Forces Strikes Pakistan Terrorist Camps

This is a war that is being/is going to be fought in the media as well as the physical sphere. There will be casualties, and there will be POWs, and there will be pressure brought to bear on GOI through these means. We should do all we can to keep calm and have faith in our leadership. We were itchi...

Re: Pulwama Attack

Seems like a good time to call for an emergency session of Parliament to abolish Art 370; the Cun*gress will have no choice but to fall in line, albeit kicking and screaming, as even fence-sitting liberals are realizing the public anger. I'd say: 1. Withdraw MFN (done) 2. Abolish 370, withdraw all j...

For a frame of reference, here's an old BBC documentary on the Tiananmen square massacre of 1989. The reporter mentions an incident where an unarmed soldier surrenders to protesters, and gets lynched. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SACHK-W4o1E I think that most of all, more that the Japanese, Ameri...

Pardon if OT: I was in China for a few months while on a ship-the chini are insane smokers. They have really cheap, mass-produced cigs that help them get through the days. By shallow observation, a majority of males seem to be smokers. That must be a factor in evaluating the fitness of the general p...

Need to use Operant Conditioning with the CxP. It should be deeply ingrained into them that every time they try something funny, they will feel pain. Careful calibration of that pain, and it's type, will ensure that the Rat will need to think ten times before pressing that lever. It's a "Skinne...

Can someone help me by pointing me to the guidelines? Can't seem to find them and don't know what I need to change.

Another though: we have a huge pool of (serving and retired) world-class merchant naval ratings and officers at sea in the world's merchant marine, perhaps a good resource to plan for.

Perhaps a naval reserve for when the Big One comes?
