Re: Terroristan - May 1, 2019

learned few new things from IK Niyazi's speech at UNGA 1- Modi is President of India. 2- Pakistan is poor because western banks accept money deposits from Pakistani people. 3- He can't do anything for climate change as its west's responsibility. And he has no money. 4- Terrorism started after 9/11 5...

Re: Indian ASAT test

So beheno aur bhaiyon, initial details are coming in. The vehicle used for India's first ASAT test had a booster from the Agni family, mated to a second stage from another surface to surface missile. Importantly, the kinetic kill vehicle that arms the PDV was used for impact. https://twitter.com/SJh...

Can a derated Ge 414 be used for Tejas MK1A? As the dimensions are same as Ge404 and weight is just 74kg more. It can provide more thrust without any changes in airframe.

Re: Kaveri & Aero-Engine: News & Discussion

During Aero India 2017 there was news about HTFE 40 which is derivative of HTFE 25 with 40kN dry and 60kN wet thrust with marginal weight gain. I am trying to search link which I have seen that time but could not find one.

On Mk1, I came to know of something yesterday which made my lungi flutter quite a lot. I wanted to share it with you, but I was told to hold back a little longer till the TPs can explore that part a bit more. Will let you know as soon as I know. Will make all of you very happy. And then IDRW can go...

Max. take Off Weight =17.5 tons
Weapon Load = 6.5 tons
So Loaded Weight = 11 tons
Internal Fuel = 3.3 tons
So empty weight = 11000 Kg - 3300 kg - 500 Kg (Additional Load) = 7200 KG (7.2 tons)

Re: Indian Air Force News & Discussion - 15 Dec 2016

Which new technology we are expecting to get after complete TOT of Mig29? Of course, there may be little to gain from ToT of Mig29 but on same grounds ToT deal will be far cheaper. Other part is to have 2 options of our own as MWF. If Mk2 is single engine option and MTOW is limited below 20T then I...

Re: Indian Air Force News & Discussion - 15 Dec 2016

Prospect of MMRCA seems more n more irrelevant now. It will be far better to focus time, money n brains on indiginization. On curious note, what are chances that India can get complete ToT of Mig29 excluding ToT of radar, engines. We should be allowed to make customised Mig29 without need of any li...
