The spike in active cases is troubling. After reaching a low of 136k (on Feb 12) it has gone past 150k now. Also, the 7 day average is nudging up during the past four days - 517,937,1152 and is at 1488 now. May be another lockdown to stop this trend?

^^^Not sure of that. Astra Zaneca vaccine needs TWO doses and appear to cost more than the J&J Vaccine which is a One dose vaccine.

Vaccines from COVAX facility seem to be free for 92 low income countries which include Pakistan and also India. So those 17 million doses for Pakistan will be free to it.

Vaccine or no vaccine India's active case count has been trending down for the past four months. Now at 212k it is at 14th position in the world and if you take active cases per million it is way, way below that - near 100!.
