Re: Indian Air Force News & Discussion - 23 March 2021
This is not new. IIRC, US Army started making them in 2004 and called Land Phalanx Weapon System IMVHO, even you install 1 phalanx system per HAS, the threshold that the Phalanx can withstand and repel simultaneous done attack is 80. So 85 drone attacking all from frontal 180 degree of frontal view...

Re: Tejas Mk2 Medium Weight Fighter: News & Discussion - 23 February 2019
Heck, even AMCA is single-engined and is "Medium" class, like Tejas-Mk2. IMHO, it was a dumbass decision to design an AMCA - it should have been an F22/F-35/J-35 class heavy fighter/bomber because the internal bay nullifies the advantage of being a medium-class fighter. But when we realiz...

Food for thought: Though LCH Prachand is lightest of the military attack helicopters, it also suffers from much lower ferry range of about 700 kms ( much lower than compatriots of ~ 1100 kms). HAL designers could have extended the engine overhand to the mid body area to get more space in the fuselag...

Why do we waste time in looking for aircrafts elsewhere. We have 4 of them for Airforce VIP transport. Just use them up and replace the transports aircrafts with some other aircraft which are cheaper to operate. IMHO, India is quite far below in AD network per Km2. It has currently about 1200 launchers. Compared to that China has about 6000 and US About 3000. Ukraine has about 1000 Launchers and about 5 times smaller in India, yet struggling to cover his air space. In spite of this, as per chatGPT, it ranks...
