Re: Indian Military Helicopters

Kamov-28/31 are not getting replaced right now, rather some new orders were supposed to be placed couple of years back. https://www.indiatoday.in/india/story/defence-ministry-indian-navy-russia-kamov-31-helicopters-1516576-2019-05-03 The much older Sea Kings are being replaced by MH-60R Romeo.

Hi All,
I am looking to get some details about moped ( most probably from Kinetic ). There are hardly any photos of it in the internet.
However got hold of it in this movie clip.

Name and make would be most helpful.
Many thanks in advance

Avros were well built and as per reports lot of them have significant life left. As Indranil said, cant we just salvage it for squadron level dedicated tanker. Any idea if that needs significant cost and testing time (including the new glass cockpit and engine upgrade that HAL had proposed in 2018).

I see nothing wrong with the OPV based Corvette options. Weapons will be fitted in Pakistan. A CIWS and 2 SSM ( in slanted launchers) and Helicopter for anti submarine warfare is speculated in dead and dumb forum. So it would be fairly armed for a Corvette.

Perhaps it is meant to convey that it is much more ergonomical than bulkier Prithvi and easier to manage once canisterized.

IMO partnering with Isreal might make exports viable, they already have a good foot hold on the market, Mk1A on any day would be better platform than decades old mirage airframes. But tsarkarji, this is ok for a defensive posture. What about offensive operations, we would need tanks to hold the fort once the enemy area is captured (after defeating tanks via gunships and UAV), infantry would not survive alone.
