Also India is facing low inflation and deflatationary pressures especially since the GST cuts. This maybe to counter that as currency depreciation leads to inflation. To me most of it looks like a short time effect. They should speed up the Indo-US trade deal.

Underlying reasons given by economists are Trump tariffs and FPIs withdrawing 17 billion dollars from the market in 2025. But clearly RBI is not aggressively defending the currency.

There is an ongoing run on the dollar rupee exchange rate with the present RBI governor not aggressively defending it unlike Shaktikanta Das. This is going to mess up all calculations.

The SIR process in West Bengal is likely to be only partially successful in weeding out illegal Bdeshis. The reason is that many have entered the rolls prior to the 2002 SIR when the CPIM was in power in WB and the INC in power at the center. The only option now left is the NRC.

There are serious complaints about construction delay and poor quality of construction of NH66 especially the Mumbai-Goa portion. Apparently the project has been ongoing since 2011 and is still not complete. There are a few videos available of poor quality of construction on youtube.

The BJP state govts in Haryana, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand and Chattishgarh have gone into coma with no developmental updates coming out. The other state govts are doing fine with regular updates. Seems nothing is getting done in these 4 states.

SC has "suggested" that Adhaar be considered, not "mandated" or "instructed". ECI is an independent constitutional body and has the right to determine which documents are to be considered.

Maharashtra should declare Sanskrit as the third language and end the language controversy. Many if not most northern states have chosen Sanskrit as third language.

Caste datas thus far available through various surveys may be inaccurate. Many land owning castes have been removed from general category by the British. Also there should be a column for more than one caste or multi-caste as inter-caste marriages are now common.

Tax slabs should also change. There is granularity at the bottom 0%, 5%, 10%, 15% but not at the top. It should be something like 20%, 22%, 25%, 27%, 30% with 35-37% maximum. 47% taxation is extortionist. You want HNW people to stay in India and build businesses instead of moving to tax havens.
