Gripen for Air Force M-MRCA - Sweden Promises Full, True Tech Transfer

Was at the Saab press briefing in Bangalore today. Lots of interesting quotes. Loved the way Sweden / Saab was stressing on "full and true" tech transfers taking digs at U.S.

Thanks everybody for your encouraging words. Right now I'm not in a position to provide high resolution images..because it's a good time for Chors to pick it up, especially some newspapers! :) I hope you understand. I will try to get more of Tejas.

I bet there will be a lot of amazing shots coming in :) .. as Vishal, Pyogi, Kedar all the gurus get on to their act.. shooting! :)

Understood Rahulji.

RahulM,
Its very easy to remove them and pass it off as your own. Getting news mags and DDM to pull them after the fact will be tough. I guess he is justified.

Yes. I've heard aviation photographers being demo'd how their watermarks get erased/pulled in minutes .. those big semi-transparent watermarks.

Might have, but the question is moot since that option never existed. Basically AEW&C was restarted on basis of AESA. But technologically, yes, it would have been simpler & could have been developed in a less challenging manner.

I can't help but write this comment.

I am a big fan of Capt. Moulankar now. He started by saying, "to let you guys know that we know what we are talking about". Damn, he nailed it. And with attitude. Big fan of him!

I didn't volunteer for the talk ... but he did the best job. I think we from BR should pass on our sincerest gratitude and compliments to the man whenever we meet him.

There was a lot of good material but that quality gets enhanced when presented by good orators Dr.Sampath Prasad and Capt.Moulankar we need people like them to represent us abroad something like what Mr.Ola Ringell did for SAAB in the gripen context

it does have a very long nose - good to accomodate a powerful radar back end. that stealth weapons pod looks like capable of 2 aams..good to sling three and go on a ambush mission of high value targets...and that upward looking IR sensor should warn strike tasked a/c from lookdown-shootdown shots.

all in all - a nice pkg imho.

Hi, I have just created my ID at bharat rakshak. I never knew we had such insightful forums out here. I am in good company!

Had a doubt -- I have got myself a business pass for tomorrow at AeroIndia. I did this online and got a one liner email. The email had hardly any content, in fact I am surprised they gave me a registration code.

Sarcasm apart, I would like to know what do I do with it? Can I go to aeroIndia tomorrow and collect my pass there? Or should I be running around right now, to some place to collect it?

Please advise!

thanks,

Adityeah,

I have a question for you.

what was the time lag between completing the transaction and getting the email with the unique registration id?

I only ask because I haven't got my id yet even though I have purchased a business pass as well.

Hi I just called up guy named Hariharan in CII. according to him we can pick up tickets at the venue. Can any body confirm this.

One more thing is that my friend has purchased a business pass and has received the unique id but no amount has been debited from his account. Any similar occurances

Time lag, well, I think it was there a minute or two. Not more than that.

I still hope someone can answer me about picking up the ticket at the venue.

According to the organizers, you can pick up the pass at the venue. But given the classic unprofessional behaviour of them, I am anticipating some problems there.

They also mentioned that one could pick up the pass at the bank, but till now I haven't heard anyone being successful doing that.

I am prepared to be turned away at the counter, and also made a plan-b to spend the day elsewhere. So much for the efficiency of CII.

^vintage SBI. :rotfl:

if the job had been given to a profit making pvt concern like HDFC bank, it would be handled more professionally (befitting any half civilized country atleast) for sure.

my first visit to aero India. even though had paid using their online service, they made me wait at the Aero India registration counter for the pass. time spend on getting my pass:- 2 hours 35 mins and 12 seconds only :(
by the time i got my pass it was already 4pm so decided to use this pass for next day.
put up at mathikere. with no net connection and no PC. had come without any plans..
damn even the rickshaws are having a field day looting, to take me from Yelhanka bus stand to aero india main road charging 50 to 70 Rs. which is just 3kms.

hope tomorrow i can i have some good view..
