I'm scared of the next match though. The madras pitch turned frmo ball 1. Windies play spin decently and munna is sure to go for runs against gayle and co.

^^ Pack the side with 3 spinners and get Gawd to bowl seam -up for 2 overs. Ashwin, Chawla and Bhajji will be difficult to get away on a turner.

Chennai track is dangerous for it would mean a lot would depend on the toss, more importantly Sehwag and SRT don't fancy tracks where ball does not come on to the bat; finally the less we talk about about the youngistan the better.

16.1

Pathan to Porterfield, FOUR, another shocker of a short ball. India are losing their intensity here, and nothing typifies it as much as Munaf's trundling effort to tag that ball, sweeping at cover point. Doesn't sprint, dive or even put the boot out. Pathetic.

Our fielding or the lack of it to be more precise is already showing up. The first missed catch by Y.Pathan must have been taken. Then, ground fielding is not so good, as usual. Munaf's lazy running and inability to cutoff the boundary was awkward.

Harbhajan is again proving he is out-of-form. On a turning pitch, he has been unable to trouble the Irishmen. Chawla has just now come about. Let's see what he does after last week's drubbing, though he picked up two wickets. With lack of wicket-taking bowlers in our side, we should probably opt for those who are less generous in giving away runs.

23.6 Chawla to Niall O'Brien, no run
23.6 Chawla to Niall O'Brien, wide
23.5 Chawla to Niall O'Brien, no run, caught, but not out - its a free hit!
23.5 Chawla to Niall O'Brien, no ball, nothing is going right for Piyush! The googly, beats the batsman as he looks to push it to the off side, but its a no ball
23.4 Chawla to Niall O'Brien, no run, a stifled appeal for LBW, tossed up on the stumps, Niall O'Brien is hit on the pads as he goes for a forward defence
23.4 Chawla to Niall O'Brien, wide, poor stuff this from the bowler, again pitches on leg and spins away, he has to get his line right
23.3 Chawla to Porterfield, 1 run, straighter this time, Porterfield works it square leg region for a run @ 81.38 kmph
23.3 Chawla to Porterfield, wide, from over the wickets, pitches on leg and moves away from the left hander, given wide @ 82.63 kmph
740
23.2 Chawla to Porterfield, FOUR!!, what a way to bring up his FIFTY!!, nicely tossed up outside off, Porterfield came forward and drives it extremely hard past extra cover for a four, beautiful shot and thats his 5th ODI fifty! @ 81.68 kmph
23.1 Chawla to Niall O'Brien, 1 run, given air outside off, Niall O'Brien sweeps it to deep backward square leg @ 80.61 kmph

This is what bugs me. Piyush bowled three wides this over (and a no-ball to boot). He was bowling over the wicket (round the wicket for a left hander and spinning further away on the leg side). He could have switched over to round the wicket if he was finding it difficult to control the trajectory.

I am waiting to see the Indian team dismantle, destroy and dispatch the blonde pawki motha849aa Imran Tahir. I hope Ireland puts up a decent score so that our boys have some practice at chasing.

We have to give SS and Ashwin a chance in the next match. I am sure Ashwin will prove to be better than Chawla. Only Allah knows about SS.

Well honestly both SS and Chawla are burden on our team. Both of them are useless. I was disappointed like many others when Chawla was picked god only knows for what reason. Ashwin should play. He can bat as well.

Tahir is a fixer, tried to get out first ball and almost managed to. Hahaaa the group is now wide open and I think India will top the group and play New Zealand in the final e quarter.
Good that BD beat Ireland or else Ireland would have qualified and played against the topper in the other group.
